Lovely pic on FB lol - she is gorgeous!!!

Feeling v broody and jealous now Wink DS is at childminders today, DH is at work and I have been ordered to mostly just rest up. Tho got some Tesco shopping delivered, got a wash on, dishwasher loaded, coffee on and I'm about to colour my hair. So...kind of resting I guess! Who knows when I'll next have the chance to arm myself with a bottle of dye!!?

RedRobin1 · 29/07/2013 11:31

I have just updated our stats thread. Had forgotten to add myself to the list. Thingy and fatas need to add to it too... whenever you feel ready to.

Looking at the stats I am wee bit sad that most of you will have had your babies and there's no one else due around Jan. Please stick around even after you have had your little ones. I don't want to be posting alone :(

tedmundo · 29/07/2013 13:24

Congratulations lol

Please come back with your birth story. I love a good labour story!

Thingymajigs · 29/07/2013 15:06

I love birth stories too. lol's little one looks so cute.

BelissimaLol · 30/07/2013 09:21

Hi girls. Here's my birth story Grin
As you know, I was at work on Friday but didn't actually do much lol and was having mild contractions through the day. Everyone kept telling me it would take ages as it was my first!
In the evening however they got a lot stronger and by 10pm I was hooked to a tens machine (absolute the best invention in the world) in floods of tears wimp . By midnight I was blinded by pain so we went in. I was examined and told I was 1cm and had to come home and chill! Chill!!!!
We came back and I literally spent the night crying in agony. By around 10ish I called hospital and begged them to let me come in. We arrived at almost 12 (DH had to eat before we went as he was worried he would be too hungry lol) and I was examined. Was told I had done remarkably well and was 6cm already!
No ante natal ward for me, straight into labour ward.
I was begging for an epidural and I was lucky the doctor was around. Now that is the best invention in the world. Once I had that I was happy and relaxed, and was fully dilated by 3pm (waters broke 230).
Started pushing just before 4 and and at 4:25 she was born Grin
I was told I did some excellent pushing and she came really fast! Maybe exercising through pregnancy did help after all!
The actual pushing was the easy bit for me! It was the lead up to it which was a killer.
Had second degree tear but other than that no problems at all.
Had to spend night due to the epi and came home on Sunday morning.
All in all a good story I think!!! I will certainly share it with those who are terrified of labour like I was.
I will also hang around red. There is a new wave of you coming through and we are still waiting for winkle after all Grin

kittykatsforever · 30/07/2013 10:37

Well done lol, that sounds really positive
Epidurals are the best arnt they lol

RedRobin1 · 30/07/2013 10:39

lol you did so well! 25mins of pushing sounds like music to my ears! I will surely look into getting a TENS machine. I love reading birth stories too.

I am so happy you guys are sticking around and not going anywhere. Awww virtual group hug Grin

I am still waiting for the energy burst, the tiredness seems to really kick in by evening. I felt my first flutters yesterday... was coughing and suddenly I felt little bubbles popping to my left and little flicks like feather flicks. It was so cute. I tried to cough again, but it stopped.

DH was hoovering this morning and as soon as the hoover turned on I felt the flicks again. It's so funny, like little tickles. I love it. I love knowing its there.

LittleMissSnowShine · 30/07/2013 11:13

Great story lol - glad epidural was a good choice for you and you got home quickly enough. Hope your stitches heal up soon!!

red - Aw congrats on feeling your first flutters!!!

At last mw appt baby was 4/5 engaged, which wasn't bad going for baby no.2 at 37 weeks. I think he has engaged further in last day or so though because pressure and SPD have both increased loads. I forgot myself for a minute and ran (hee!) up the stairs yesterday to get my phone and i could barely move afterwards. At least he's descending and heading in the right direction tho!! Sweep is on Fri and really hope it works again this time cos I am getting too tired and sore to keep up with housework / tidal wave of mess DS creates Confused Hair looks good after I dyed it yesterday tho Grin

tedmundo · 30/07/2013 14:22

lol .. You did amazingly well to not thump whoever it was who told you to "chill".

Epidural with Ds2 and ds3 was all that kept me sane. The pain from being induced had me demented!

The midwife told me that she finds women having their second or subsequent babies ask for the epidurals much sooner than the first timers because if you've gone through it before your brain and body knows what is to come. And it gets scared!
