Thought I may as well start this given I'll be around for another (hopefully) 14ish weeks :) Hope I've not crossed posts with anyone!

kitten wow what a big day. When will your dads op be finished? Hope you have lots to do today to keep you busy.

Thinking about you today kitten - hope it will be good news all round today for you and your family, with a good outcome for your dad and a lovely new baby addition to the kitten clan x

Frustratingly, SIL's labour has ground to a halt and my mum has been sent home from the hosi and told to call back at 4/5pm to find out how he is.

It's going to be a long day I think!

Your poor mum 4/5pm is ages away. I'm feeling sorry for SIL too, labour sucks.

Any news on your dad yet kitten? And have things picked up for your SIL at all?

My mum came round today and one of my aunties and between us we took turns occupying DS while the others steam cleaned windows and hung curtains in the nursery. tiring afternoon but of course not exerting enough to put me into labour lol

when .. It was lovely to see you on that thread earlier. It was a reasonable discussion til the usual crew got silly again. I did see you refer to being ill though.. Poor poor you(although secretly jealous of slim thighs!!). Hope you and dd back on track soon.

Winkle is having a tough time. Tested and got a bfn. I know nothing about IVF preg testing so am just praying for her it is too early.

red .. That 16 week heartbeat is amazing isn't it? The new bristol guidelines mean they don't test at mw app anymore at 16 weeks as it can't always be found, and if not found they will no longer send you for a scan (cost cutting at its most cruel). It was only when I told her that if she couldn't find a heartbeat I would be going to the private clinic for a scan regardless that she relented. Found it in 2 seconds.

And James is safe for you! Love that name but our cousins son is James and we see them all the time. James Michael (Catholic if you can't already guess,)

Hi ted good to see you on the other thread too. It seemed quite sane for a while. Dd and I are feeling a lot better thanks, I'm sure my thighs will be back to their full wobbly glory very soon.

Thanks just the worst news about winkle, is there any chance she's tested too early. I was so hopeful for her.

Hi girls. Hope u all well and your dad too kitten.
Had a bit of a roller coster day as felt no movement for the whole morning so got into a complete panic and ended up at hospital!
Got monitored for a couple of hours and everything seems fine . Phew!
Had a sweep as they think baby is running out of space! Lets see what happens.
Poor winkle. I am praying for her x

lol .. I was in and out at the end with Bruce due to reduced movements. If sweep doesn't work, be prepared for them suggesting induction. They were not happy about leaving me too long with the reduced movements and induced me on my due date.

He had cord round neck twice hence his being quiet for last week or so. Would you be against induction?

Hi ted. At this point I want her out. Don't care how! Just want her to be safe. At this point they told me to come home and see what happens tomorrow. She has been very active this evening so I'm quite relaxed for now. Have another sweep arranged for Monday and am due on Tuesday. Lets see!!!

My dad's surgery all went well apparently. Was told he would spend 24hrs in HDU due to his weight and the general anaesthetic, but actually he's doing so well they're putting him straight onto a normal ward . Now just the wait to find out if its done the trick and they got it all. Thanks for asking girls, appreciate it.

SIL's contractions have all bit disappeared so its back to the waiting game there - boo!

littlemiss sounds like you've had a busy day, I'm tired just reading about it! Don't fancy coming to do my house do you?!

good luck lol .. Sweeps kick in about 12 hrs later apparently so perhaps tonight is the night!

Oh your poor SIL though. How disappointing. All contractions are helping the dilation though so each false start is less to do at the real event!

Glad the operation went well kitten. That must have been a very long day for you.
I've just checked the stats thread and it seems that you are due any day now lol. Are you all ready? Bags packed and eager to go or are you quite content to wait a while?

Hi thingy yes I am due on tue. Had a bit of a scare yesterday as she was not moving so spent whole pm in hospital being monitored. I'm now ready tbh.
Been feeling period pains quite low in my belly and don't know if these are early contractions???? Had a sweep yesterday!

lol - Had sweep with DS, it did get labour started so having one next week with this one too (tho I'd love to go before that!!) any updates today? I'm jealous!!!

winkle - you have been waiting so long and it's just not fair, it's really not :( thinking about you and hoping you get the result you have been waiting for v soon xx

kitten - Glad your dad seems to be over the operation well, keeping fx that it has been a success. It took 3 days of labour for me to have DS so I really feel for your SIL but hopefully she won't have much longer to wait!

What did your early contractions feel like ladies???

Oooh exciting lol.
My early contractions felt like period pains. They just started as BH and got stronger and a bit more alarming but nothing too painful until I got to about 4-5cm dilated. But its different for everyone. Keep us updated!

Feel free to pop round my house if you run out of things to clean little. I'm in lazy mode. Better get up really.

Looks like lol is winning this race I had bloody show first thing in morning after sweep the afternoon before and early contractions kind of felt like back ache (bearing in mind tho that DS was back to back so prob not best example!). By teatime they were starting to get a whole lot worse, tho he didn't arrive til 2 days later lol But stick on your tens machine and keep us updated!!!

thingy - After I do the bathroom, I need to do my fridge and possibly the oven too (why I feel compelled to do the oven I have NO idea!) but once I'm finished I'll head over to you

did you guys have any cravings through pregnancy? people keep asking me but I haven't had any except McD's. I have several food aversions but no cravings as such. And after the sickness my appetite has only just returned.
