Asparagus is NOT A MEAL. FFS.
Hope everyone who's feeling vommy is okay (or as okay as you can be), and everyone who's worrying is calm.
I have JUSt read all of your posts; can I remember who said what? No.
The other day, someone said 'oh, hi - nice to see you' as I was walking past (into a conference) and instead of saying 'hi' or 'nice to see you too', or anything normal, I said 'NICE!' really loudly and walked past.
Today I was nausea-tastic on the way to work, but okay by lunchtime.
I need advice though - week after next is our big summer conference, and I'm the events person. This involves us carting about 10 massive plastic boxes of books, conference packs etc from our office to the lecture theatre - I've always done more than my share.
Now, obvs, I don't want to be lifting/carrying super-heavy things, but there's only 3 of us in the office in total, so if I just say 'oh I have a bad back', I know from experience it will not be a reason for me to not carry stuff, they'll just say 'can you help with this, I know you have a bad back, but we're in a rush'. (I've been trying out the 'bad back' excuse, and this was what happened - something needed moving, they asked if I could help. I feel really bad saying no).
So: should I say something beforehand? I really don't want to do anything stupid, but I'd so rather not tell work. I'm also worried I'll feel too sick/be too knackered and will need to rest - these events are not ones I can just sneak off for five minutes, they are totally full on, start to finish. Help me, ladies!
