Very early days but I'm due 26 January - really expecting early February after being 15 days late with DC1. Thought I'd get the ball rolling Grin

Anyone else?

Another positive test this morning. Four positives can't be wrong, can they, I may cruelly be starting to believe its happening :-) only 4+4 as far as I can tell, do I phone the doctors now or wait a bit?

vix206 · 03/06/2013 08:46

Believe it littlest!!

Personally I'd wait another couple of weeks but its up to you Smile

vix206 · 03/06/2013 12:00

Thank you for updating the stats girls :) I have been feeling so sick this morning. Opening the fridge made me heave, walking into the supermarket - same.

Anyway, am at work now and starving so having an early lunch. Hope everyone is feeling well.

Is anyone else having cravings yet? I really am! I can't get enough tomato soup, even in this warm weather it is all I want to eat. And lots of fruit.

Ok I have my first scan booked in for next Thursday. I'll only be 6+2 but because of my previous ectopic they want to check it's all where it should be. There won't be much to see but I'm just hoping it all looks ok after the last couple of times. Excited but scared too. Will keep you posted on the outcome. Grin and Confused

vix no cravings really but I am munching through plenty of ginger biscuits to stave off the sick feeling. I could claim they were a craving!

DawnOfTheDee · 03/06/2013 16:57

Well I've had quite an eventful day.

Went for first appointment with mw this morning. All fine.

Decided to take DD for a walk in the park then lunch at local pub (they do a nice kiddies menu). As I stood up to leave a felt a bit weird and then all this blood started running down my legs. Ran to the disabled loo with DD and tried to clean myself up. Rang the docs and they said go to a&e which I did. Bleeding stopped in a&e and they did a pg test and did an exam. They said all looked ok - cervix was closed and uterus or uterine wall (can't remember which) felt ok and as it should for 7wk pg. Anyway feeling a bit better now but still a bit worried.
They've booked me in for a scan tomorrow morning so fx everything ok and the bean is a sticky one.

vix206 · 03/06/2013 17:09

Poor you dawnofthedee! Take it really easy tonight won't you. Signs are good, maybe there was a collection of blood in your cervix or something that became dislodged. Hopefully the scan will answer it.

Sorry for tmi but is anyone else having real bad gas issues?!? Im experiencing really bad cramps then passing wind is reliving it. Really uncomfortable and embarrassing and very sore :(

Hope u r ok dawn, sure everything will be ok x

barebranches · 03/06/2013 18:39

dawn oh no! hope you are resting now.

shop no gas for me... in fact not much poo related action at all...

My womb cramps seem to be better today and no further symptoms. Tested again to day and it was the first time the internet cheapie was quite dark.

littlestgirlguide · 03/06/2013 20:31

Oh no Dawn, fx for you! Take it easy and try to stay positive.

No cravings, no sickness, just a strange sensation that feels a bit like a mild UTI. Hope it's nothing! I'm so paranoid. WithDD, who's 4 this week, I didn't even imagine that something might go wrong. Since my SiL had 2 mc's since then, I can't stop worrying.

ClearBlue says I'm preqnant 2-3 though, so pregnant I am :-)

OMGherewegoagain · 03/06/2013 20:54

Dawn really sorry to hear you've had a scary day, it's good news that the bleeding has stopped - will be thinking of you tomorrow - hope it all goes well with the scan
Shop No gas here either.....do remember lots of burps first time around, but not the other end - its very glamorous this pregnancy malarky isn't it Smile
littlest - that's def a positive - congratulations!!
Not much to update on from me - had a very late lunch which made me feel v.light headed and a bit sick, but other than the ridiculous boobs and tiredness I have very few symptoms at the mo....don't want to wish them on, but IME symptoms are v.good things - means lots of preggo hormones kicking around. Remind of this when I'm feeling as sick as a dog in a couple of weeks Grin

amicusapple · 04/06/2013 07:30

Hope all goes okay today Dawn. Fx for you.

Nothing new to report here. Not feeling very pregnant at the minute with minimal symptoms. It's a bit dull reallyWink.

laura0007 · 04/06/2013 07:42

Good luck today Dawn. Thanks

vix206 · 04/06/2013 08:34

Yes best of luck Dawn, let us know how you get on. ??

DawnOfTheDee · 04/06/2013 08:41

Thank you all - my scan is late morning so i'll update you with some hopefully good news this afternoon. I'm torn between being positive and not getting my hopes up too much. Not that long to wait now though.

ChocoFrog · 04/06/2013 09:59

fx for you Dawn and sending sticky bean thoughts your way.

vix206 · 04/06/2013 13:59

Keep checking back for news!! Hoping everything is ok Dawn.

I've been out in the park with a picnic with DS. Glorious weather Smile now feeling a bit queasy so having a lie down while DS tries to nap!

Unfortunately I have no news Sad

They could see the gestational sac but nothing else (they ended up having to do a vaginal ultrasound). They said this could be because my dates are a bit out so it's too early or it's a failed pg or possibly ectopic.

So i'm none the wiser and have another scan booked in for a week next friday which seems forever away. It sounds horrible but i almost wish i'd found out i was having a mc now than wait another week and a half and then maybe be told that. I just want to hide away until the scan but in the meantime i've to go to work, then next week i'm meant to be going to italy with a friend for a few days. Flight gets back 2 hours before my scan appointment. I don't know whether to go anyway or cancel.

Then to top it off dh is meant to be flying out to a stag do on the day of my scan. He doesn't know what to do either.

vix206 · 04/06/2013 15:55

Oh no that's awful HmmConfusedConfused I know what it's like to have to wait, not knowing what's going on so I totally understand what you mean about rather knowing.

All you can do is wait and stay hopeful. I'm so sorry it didn't clear things up for you.

oh no dawn Sad Sad Sad
lets all hope the week goes quickly. Sad

Apparentlychilled · 04/06/2013 19:16

Hi. I had my bfp last week and had an early scan today (due to a previous ectopic). Due on 1 Feb. They couldn't see the heartbeat, but they're not worried at the mo (as they think I might be less than 6 weeks pg).

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience at the EPU, Dawn, and I hope that next week goes better.

Does anyone else feel a bit distracted? I feel like I can't settle on any tasks at the moment. And given that this will be my 3rd DC (so 4th pregnancy), you'd think I'd be a bit more chilled with this one. Not told anyone in RL yet, other than DH, and I want to chat through the practicalities of 3DC with someone (yes, I realise I'm getting massively ahead of myself), even though I know I'm being daft (like trying to decide whether I put DS (who will be 26 months by then) into nursery when the baby arrives, how I'll cope as DH is likely to be away almost immed after DC is born... Stuff that I cannot do anything about right now, but is preying on my mind....

Hey ho.

Hi to everyone though.

ShowMeTheCoffee · 04/06/2013 19:30

Hi there. Big congrats to each of you!

Please may I join? I have an estimated due date of 2 Feb. This will be DC#3 for us (no, I can't believe it either). I have a DS (3) and a DD (16 months). Like others, I am super excited though very nervous.
Anything I need to do? I haven't joined one of these threads before.

Best wishes to those of you not off to the smoothest of starts. Hope all is well from here on.

Thingymajigs · 04/06/2013 20:14

I hope everything is ok dawn. The waiting must be terrible.Sad
As for symptoms, I'm only 4+4 but my breasts are very sore. Luckily I have no morning sickness which I'm hoping to avoid like I did with my first 2. I'm enjoying the secret atm but I imagine I will be desperate to tell someone by 8 weeks.
The only thing we can be sure of is that the next couple of months will drag on forever.
