Very early days but I'm due 26 January - really expecting early February after being 15 days late with DC1. Thought I'd get the ball rolling Grin

Anyone else?

Forgot to add I'm a self confessed serial "poas".... I might as well buy shares in the CB digital... But I made a decision today to stop buying them. Let's hope I resist. It's also quite an expensive addiction!!!

barebranches · 01/06/2013 18:16

hey can i join!
i got my bfp yest and still in shock!! Grin

i keep getting cramp on and off like peroid cramps... is this normal?? keep think af will come even though ive had 5 positve tests...

DawnOfTheDee · 01/06/2013 18:42

Aces. You're in Grin

I've heard quite few people have crampy type pains on and off so yes, totally normal.

Btw I've done 4 tests I think and have one left. I'm going to do that then i'm done. Promise...

barebranches · 01/06/2013 18:46

i have 5 cheapies one digital test left... i fully intend to test daily then use the digital on thursday to see if the conception indicator has changed!! Grin

vix206 · 01/06/2013 19:14

Welcome to even more new people, how exciting!

Sorry if this is depressing but after my miscarriage I am no longer a POAS addict. During the week I was bleeding I took loads of tests, digi and line. All of them came back strong and the digital one I took 1 hour before I actually lost the baby still told me I was 3+. I took so much hope from that as I thought my hormones would fade if I was miscarrying, but it seems that isn't always the case. So for me it is not worth doing tests after that experience.

Mind you my huge, sore boobs remind me enough that I am pregnant at the moment :) 6 weeks today!

Thingymajigs · 01/06/2013 19:24

I've become worried sick about miscarrying. I think because it took us a while to conceive I'm a bit more on edge. I've ran to the toilet 4 times today to check I wasn't bleeding.
I'm back at work tomorrow though so that will take my mind off things.

DawnOfTheDee · 01/06/2013 19:28

Oh, so sorry vix...I can totally understand your point of view on that.

For me I tend to do it because I'm almost symptomless in the early weeks so it's to reassure myself i haven't imagined the whole thing.

Yay for sore boobs! Wink

undertheboredwalk · 01/06/2013 19:36

Can I join? Got my positive a few days ago and have initial DD of 4th Feb. Will be Dc #3.
A bit terrified, Dd2 is only 10 months old so no idea at all how I'm going to cope!

littlestgirlguide · 01/06/2013 20:18

Hello, can I join in?
Got my BFP today after 10 months of trying. According to my diary that makes me 4+2, due date of 6th February.
Like a couple of others I am also getting slight period-like cramps, which I hope don't mean anything other than the bean is getting comfy. I'm a bit paranoid, since I had my DD 4 years ago, my SiL has miscarried twice and I think I had an early MC myself a few months ago (which is another story) but it add up to general worry that this one won't stick.
Otherwise, I have had sore, achey boobs since ovulation, which is why I tested - normally the sore boobs only last a few days and are totally normal again by the time AF is due. I have done 2 tests, a faint positive on a SuperDrug test with FMU this morning and a much clearer ClearBlue this afternoon. I'm going to try a digital test towards the end of the week, and then, if it still says 'pregnant' I will call my doctor.

DawnOfTheDee · 02/06/2013 08:37

Hi, I got my bfp today - it's faint but a positive. Still can't quite believe it... Not got many symptoms but like others on here I am thirsty and having trouble sleeping with some very vivid dreams. Bit crampy and tired with some nausea. I have a 2.5 year old little boy and am so excited at the thought of him being a big brother!

NHS due date calculator says 9th Feb. I'm not so worried about the birth as apprehensive about the 'morning' sickness which was round-the-clock vomiting until 21 weeks last time around...

barebranches · 02/06/2013 18:21

hey jelly im the same... im so worried about sickness! i really dont want sickness at work!!

Thisisfreakingmeout · 02/06/2013 18:40

When does/did sickness kick in?

So far mother and MIL seem to not believe me due to lack of nausea!

barebranches · 02/06/2013 18:46

im hoping it won't kick in!!Grin

vix206 · 02/06/2013 19:46

I wasn't ever sick with my last pregnancy, a few episodes of nausea. Mainly staved it off by eating, a lot. Feeling similar this time. I find the sickness bands (they are called sea bands and you get them at chemists) really helpful.

I think sickness normally kicks in around 6 weeks, that'll be why I feel so queasy tonight :)

OP posts:
littlestgirlguide · 02/06/2013 20:10

I had no sickness at all the first time round, just felt nauseous towards the end when in the car, but not until at least 7 months.
No symptoms at all at the moment, which is exactly like last time, other than my boobs are still a bit sore (they are normally sore for a few days after ovulating but back to normal well before AF is due)
I wouldn't actually mind a few more symptoms TBH as I'm having trouble believing its actually real. I've done a third test today, a Tesco cheapy, another faint positive. Three positives (albeit faint ones) can't be wrong, can they? Shouldn't it be showing more strongly by now?

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 02/06/2013 22:01

Last time I started feeling seriously sick by six weeks and vomiting by nine. Now am torn between dreading it and also hoping for the reassurance - at least it means things are going ok!

OMGherewegoagain · 02/06/2013 22:21

Hi ladies....may I join you please? Congratulations to you all!
Found out last Thursday, due 31st Jan but as I was almost two weeks late with DS am pretty sure this one will be a Feb baby! So pleased that I'm pregnant again Grin, but doesn't feel very real yet except for my very painful boobs!

laura0007 · 03/06/2013 07:43

May I join too please? This is my first DC. Due 3rd Feb. DP has walked and left me to it so I'm going it alone with luckily a lot of support from friends and family! I'm excited but feeling very sick, especially in the middle of the night! Got some of those sea bands ordered from amazon.

DawnOfTheDee · 03/06/2013 08:19

Congrats newbies!

OMG there are a few of us who have jan due dates but are expecting late babies so you're in good company.

laura007 glad to hear you've got good support in your family and friends...and you have us now too! Sorry to hear you're feeling sick...fx the bands work for you.

DawnOfTheDee · 03/06/2013 08:28

Oh, I meant to say I have my mw appointment today! I know not much actually happens at it but i'm just so excited because it's the first official thing iyswim.

Unfortunately i can't get anyone to mind DD so i'll have to take her with me. Not ideal but it can't be helped.
