Very early days but I'm due 26 January - really expecting early February after being 15 days late with DC1. Thought I'd get the ball rolling Grin

Anyone else?

I'm so sorry Trinpy, it is really unfair. Nature is so, so cruel sometimes.

I'm so sorry Trinpy, it's such a shitty situation and I wish things could be different.

I just want to say though that your story is so similar to my own. DH and I tried for 3yrs to conceive and had all the tests at the fertility clinic. I was on the waiting list for an appointment to get a Clomid prescription when I fell pregnant totally out of the blue. I miscarried four days later, it was like a cruel joke and the emotional side hurt far worse than the physical. We too were bumped back to the bottom of the list and had to be re-referred. Six months later I fell pregnant with DS.

I wish nothing but a happy ending for you, whatever that might be. Huge hugs x

Trinpy · 19/06/2013 12:35

Thank you.

Just got to wait for the results of the blood tests to confirm, so I'll know for sure by the end of the week.

Just wanted to say Thanks to everyone on here who's given me support and advice, especially those that have been there since the bfp thread Smile.

Good luck with all youir pregnancies xxx

P.S. hiding this thread now so won't be able to see any replies!

I don't think anything can prepare you for what an emotional rollercoaster this is, I really feel for anyone who has been through something like that.

Scan today didn't really go as I hoped, they saw a gestational sack but nothing else. I wasn't too worried as the lady who did the scan said it was probably just too early (she thinks I'm 5 weeks rather than 7) and that I'd probably just have another in a couple of weeks time. But then we met with someone in the early pregnancy unit who was saying they couldn't confirm the pregnancy was there, or in the right place, or rule out miscarriage :(

Now waiting for blood test results and trying to stay positive, but I do feel a bit daft for telling family now.

Can I join you please? Got a BFP yesterday Grin I am keeping everything crossed that this one sticks as my last 3 pregnancies ended in MC. In fact, I had pretty much given up hope that we'd have another child as I was taking increasingly large doses of Clomid to make me ovulate and the last cycle I did, even the 150mg dose didn't work. So this BFP was a happy surprise! :)

I reckon I'm due 15/2/14. Arranged my booking in appointment with the midwife today - they said I could only book from 9 weeks onwards but I persuaded them to put me in as the MWs are usually so busy that if you wait til 9 weeks to make the appointment, you aren't seen til 12/13 weeks so no chance of having a 12 week scan on time! Am sitting here filling out my antenatal notes.

I too am hoping for a good sleeper - I have 2 DS - 7 and 5 and the 5 year old was still waking up 6 times a night aged 1 Hmm Sleep deprivation truly is torture...

Hi all, and welcome to the newbies. And I'm so sorry to hear about Tripny and moomin's worries. Thinking of you both.

I've had my 2nd early scan today and have to bow out of this thread for a lovely reason- my EDD has been moved to 24 Jan, so i'm further along than I thought- yay! I'll kid myself that's why I have a visable bump (and nothing to do with all the rubbish I'm eating, oh no!)!

I'm going to a funeral on my side on Saturday, so I'm going to tell my folks and siblings then (if they don't guess as soon as they see me!).

Well, the last two arrived at 37+1 and 36+1, so I'll end up being the grumpiest pregnant woman ever if I even hit my due date, I imagine!

Good luck to everyone.

moominlike · 19/06/2013 15:45

Thanks Champagnebubble and Apparentlychilled - and congratulations on your scan:)

Blood test has come back with hcg levels at around 2000 which she said is consistent with my scan (4-5 weeks) so I guess that's good news although I think I read that hcg can still be present after mc/mmc so probably shouldn't get my hopes up, and just wait and see what Friday brings.

Apparently I am 'in the system' very early as my lmp was February and they wanted to make sure I wasn't 4 months along already (even though I was on the pill till end of April)...I'm trying to take comfort that if I had a dating scan at the usual time we would have probably been able to see what we needed to and all this wouldn't be happening!

Congratulations SugarMiceInTheRain :)

Champagne maybe the MWs here are just lazy so to save time in the first appointment they make you do your own paperwork! ;-)

Apparently great news! Time seems to move so slowly at the beginning of pregnancy - I'm always wishing away the early weeks, so having an earlier EDD than you initially thought is a bonus!

DawnOfTheDee · 19/06/2013 19:17

Moomin - that's really positive. Fx Friday goes well too.

Congrats & welcome SugarMouse!

I'm a bit worried that this LO will be a nightmare...I sort of feel like i've used up my luck with DD - she naps well, she sleeps well, she eats anything and I mean anything, the low point was a dead spider , etc, etc. I'm a second child and my mum said if I'd been the first born she wouldn't have bothered having another!

Sprite21 · 19/06/2013 19:22

Oh no, feeling slightly anxious with Trinpy's sad news.
Moomin it sounds like your visit went well. Apparently I'm jealous. I forgot how long 9 months is at the beginning.
I haven't had to fill in any paperwork. Midwife visit scheduled for July 3rd but no scan booked in yet.
Do others have their 12 week scans booked in?

DawnOfTheDee · 19/06/2013 19:36

I've saw my mw almost 2 weeks ago and still haven't got the letter about my 12 week scan. I know it comes direct from the hospital though....i think last time it took a while to come but the actual scan date was around my 12 week mark.

SamL88 · 19/06/2013 19:43

I have a mw appointment on Sunday 31st June and my scan is on 31st July. It was all booked within 3 days of seein my dr so I'm very impressed!
I'm starting to think I've got my dates wrong as I'm convinced I'm showing a bump!! My partner said he saw a bump as I walked towards him earlier. I'm not a skinny mini but I'm not huge so I can't blame it on the extra pounds!
Does anyone else think they're showing?

vix206 · 19/06/2013 20:56

It's all bloat! I look 4 months pregnant and there's no hiding it from anyone now. But it's all bloat.

OP posts:
Bearfrills · 19/06/2013 21:16

I look bumpy too, definitely all bloat and cake

I told work today. My hands were shaking as I typed the email and I had a wobble to the senior along the lines of "please don't sack me!". They were really cool about it. I'm now on restricted duties and I'm booked for a risk assessment but need to self-manage it for the time being with a warning to be cautious - no more pushing the big trolleys or carrying more than a couple of sets of notes at a time. All that worry was for nothing. In the worse of my manager: "we'll manage and we'll make it work". Then she said she was dead pleased for me and gave me a hug :)

I'm going to tell the rest of my team tomorrow with the help of posh biscuits. They'll wonder why I'm on restricted duties and as they'll potentially be picking up the slack I feel I at least owe them a proper explanation why.

Filling out my yellow MW notes too :o

I nipped in today and made my booking appointment for 10th July when I'll be 8wks purely because I'm away on holiday at 10wks. The only thing though is that our community midwives are a team of 4 or so midwives and I think I've got the MW I had when I was pregnant with DD. I remember she was very standoff-ish and a bit distant. She was also dismissive of my concerns about movement, particularly that I was feeling no kicks at all for the entire pregnancy but was instead getting bulging at the top of my bump. She totally missed all the signs that DD was breech and that I had abnormally low amniotic fluid which is why I ended up with an EmCS. If I do have her, I have no trust in her at all and no trust that I'll get the correct care at the correct time. Not sure how to broach it with them and ask for a different MW though as she does all the ante-natal appointments.

moominlike · 19/06/2013 23:11

Mine is definitely bloat too but isn't as bad as it was a couple of weeks ago. I've relented and got some work trousers in the next size up, they're a bit big but at least I'm comfy! Nurse weighed me at the hospital today and my bmi is 30.6 :( I'm not huge (I don't think so anyway!), normally a size 14 but have always been heavy if that makes sense? Am keen not to gain too much and have managed to lose a few pounds since getting my bfp.

moominlike · 19/06/2013 23:14

Thanks for the reassurance btw, I still don't get how I can only be 4/5 weeks pg when I got my bfp over 4 weeks ago but hey they're the experts...

Glad your scan went well Champagne :)

barebranches · 20/06/2013 07:07

hi everyone and newbies

i think im getting bloaty too... also scales keep going up and im eating so much better than pre preg... that scares me because im already over weight. Sad im going to be massive!

got my docs appointment tomorrow that i booked 2 weeks ago... then the ball should start moving towards scans and stuff! Grin
still not much symptoms. which is good is suppose because work has been crazy!
have a nice day everyone!

Bearfrills · 20/06/2013 07:08

Mine is 29.9 moomin Blush but I've lost almost three stone in the last year and I feel I'm at a far healthier weight than I once was. A BMI of 30-ish isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things, if I remember rightly my hospital doesn't class it as a problem (e.g., high risk) until it's 35 or 40.

Just do what I do and refuse to be weighed :o

Bearfrills · 20/06/2013 07:12

My sickness has arrived Envy (that's a green sick face BTW) but it's limited to mid-morning and bedtime and that's it so far. The all day sickness will come, I know it. Usually though my sickness doesn't come until 6wks so it's a bit odd to have it early but reassuring.

EeyoreIsh · 20/06/2013 07:18

oh bear sorry the sickness has arrived. It's pants Sad mine gets worse as the day goes on.

I've got an interview for a promotion this afternoon. I'm quite nervous! I'm also nervous about having to run out of the room because I feel sick. I don't feel too bad for applying because it's within the same organisation, and I lost my last pregnancy at this stage so there's no guarantee this one will last.
