Very early days but I'm due 26 January - really expecting early February after being 15 days late with DC1. Thought I'd get the ball rolling Grin

Anyone else?

Hi Ladies, sorry some of you are hung worrying times, everything crossed for all of us.

I'm 5+3 and the only symptoms so far are tiredness and bloating. Not feeling sick yet like I did with DD. Hoping it will kick in soon for reassurance (and then I'll be on here complaining that I feel sick Hmm).

Anyone else ridiculously bloated already?

vix206 · 13/06/2013 16:10

Seriously struggling today with hormones, nausea, sleep deprivation and an overtired almost 3 year old. I thought it was bad enough the first time round but its blinking tough with a toddler to entertain!!!

yy vix- cbeebie to get you through till bedtime? When I was pg w DS, DD watched so much tv that she could pretty much recite the whole of the Snow White DVD by the time he arrived...!

vix206 · 13/06/2013 16:35

I've relied on cbeebies heavily all day, I called DH home from work at 4 (we run our own business, and it's just the 2 of us) so I'm relaxing now for an hour!

Hello ladies can I join? I'm 6weeks and got to say feeling rubbish! Been suffering so much from nausea including actual wretching and afraid to say cant stomach food to get rid of it either. Feel sick throughout day but even worse in evenings/early hours of the morning. Keep waking during night so also extremely tired. Am very happy to be having a baby but have to admit didn't quite realise I would be feeling constantly rubbish. Really hope it passes soon not sure could cope keeping this up didn't think it would kick in so early. Sorry for selfish post x

feekerry · 13/06/2013 17:47

Hi everyone and esp the new faces.

Bit of a WWYD: I'm 7 weeks pg (maybe- according to my dates 7 weeks, but acc to early scan last week, prob less. Having anor scan on Wed). This is my 4th pregnancy (last one was ectopic though), and I'm massive. I'm not just being paranoid- only one person knows other than my DH and today I asked her if I looked a bit tubby (which is fine, in the circs) or pg. Even though I thought I'd dressed really well to hide my bump, she said I def looked pg.

Our plan had been to tell our families in 10 days, after scan and when I see my family for a funeral (he'll probably spend the day w his folks w our DC). I'll then be nearly 9 weeks (on my dates). But his folks are coming over for father's day and it's looking increasingly obvious we'll have to tell them, because it's obvious it's not just cake in there. I feel a bit weird about that as it seems so early to tell people, but can't see what else to do. I can't believe I'm so big- I swear I'm about the size I was w DC2 at 14-16 weeks. And I know I showed more quickly with him than w DC1, but this seems crazy!

vix206 · 13/06/2013 20:12

Stupid question but you don't have any particularly floaty tops you could wear to hide it? That's what I did last weekend when I was really bloated.

My bloating has gone for now despite having to eat my own weight in bread every hour!!

OP posts:
Apparentlychilled · 13/06/2013 20:18

I wore a floaty/silky top the other day and apparently it really clung to my bump!- and I thought I was hiding it well. Today I wore a loose (dark) shirt and a chunky, loose card, buttoned over bump (kind of kimono style, if that makes sense) and apparently all you cd see was bump. I'm not very busty, so I can't even eg wear something low or something that hangs from the bust. I have a long, cable knit cardi which might hide the bump a bit, if I can keep it pulled over a bit (maybe belt it or something).

Is anyone else having similar bump hiding problems? Vix, I'm v jealous it worked for you last weekend!

tinypolkadot · 13/06/2013 21:11

I had a huge bump last week, there's a photo of me and I look very pregnant, pure bloating though. I'm hoping it's not so noticeable now! I usually have a bit of a tum which I try to cover up with a long vest and square jumper / tshirt.

I have just burst into huge tears at the end of how I met your mother, dh didn't know if I was crying or crying with laughter! Are you a bit hormonal he asks Hmm

sunflowered · 13/06/2013 22:32

Sorry to hear so many of you are feeling rubbish. I was a little queasy this evening when I saw my tea but that soon passed... vix I see what you mean about being towards the end of the month - I'm (hopefully) a week or so away from that particular joy and miles away from any kind of scan Sad

tinypolkadot my dh looked at me really sadly last night when I warned him about impending mood swings, he finds regular pmt rage and tears quite hard to deal with. I've promised to be on my best behaviour until at least saturday

ch1134 · 13/06/2013 22:53

Hi,
I'm 7weeks with my first. Very happy but I'm just after some reassurance about a very common dilemma.
Drinking! I actually gave up for Lent, then extended this to train for a half marathon, all with TTC in mind. My family and friends are big drinkers and I've run out of excuses not to drink! I don't want to tell them my news yet, and thought it was ok to have the odd very small glass of wine.
So in order to cover up my happy news I've actually been drinking more the past few weeks than I have all year.
I've had a few sips when visiting parents (husband necked the rest when they weren't looking!), a tiny glass of red with friends over for dinner (they brought the bottle and it would've felt rude to refuse), half a shandy at the pub. So not much.
However, last wkd I went to friend's 30th and had a whole glass of champagne. Now I feel so stupid to have done it... I just wanted a cover! I ended up telling my friend anyway, as we were both TTC, then felt even worse as she told me she'd miscarried and I was sat there with a glass of bubbly. I felt so bad.
My parents are here this wkd and I really don't want to tell them... How can I avoid drinking? I am never ill and don't drive! And they are staying over so I can't say I'm running in the morning! Unless I do run...
So, let me know what you think of my drinking so far, and how to avoid it for the next 5 weeks! Thanks!

littlestgirlguide · 13/06/2013 23:43

ch1134 a straight tonic water with ice and a slice looks just the same as a g&t Smile

SamL88 · 14/06/2013 00:09

Attack of the sore boobs. Ouch. But I'm kind of getting a kick out of every symptom as its a little sign of what's happening to my body. Still bloody amazed by it all.

vix206 · 14/06/2013 06:14

Apparentlychilled, I think it worked for me because my boobs are huge now so the empire-line top I wore sort of hung down from them and totally covered the bump if that makes sense?

Am in bed munching belvita biscuits before I get up to DS. Really hoping the nausea is more bearable today!!

OP posts:
barebranches · 14/06/2013 06:48

i still havent really got much in the way of symptoms. my boobs are firmer and hurt when squeezed (thank you DH)
no sickness... in fact in the morning i wake up earlier and have more energy.... suppose i shouldnt complain. Grin

EeyoreIsh · 14/06/2013 07:37

Morning all

I've woken in a bit of a stress this morning. I've got my scan at epu as I've been bleeding. It's bringing back lots of sad memories for DH and me as we spent lots of time at epu when I my baby in February.

The bleeding has been a lot less this time, but my brain is worrying!

lucidlady · 14/06/2013 07:40

Eeyore thinking of you, hope you get the reassurance you need.

Apparentlychilled · 14/06/2013 07:47

Good luck today eeyore

vix206 · 14/06/2013 07:51

Good luck eeyore. And Dawnofthedee, if you're checking this thread at all, thinking of you too and hoping your scan goes well.

bugsyburge · 14/06/2013 09:08

good luck today, hope all goes ok.....

I am literally counting down the days until my doc appt (next Wednesday) because it's all so surreal at the moment!!!!

Dh & I are telling our parents this weekend... didn't really want to share this early but a culmination of different things means this is the only weekend until end of July when we will see all our separated parents in the same weekend so this weekend it is!!!

I'm rather nervous about it for some unknown reason, feel a bit like a naughty schoolgirl which is ridiculous as I'm in my late twenties & married!!!

how's everone feeling today?

FoxMulder · 14/06/2013 09:26

It didn't go so well for me at the scan yesterday. They couldn't see anything, so they took some blood and hCG levels were low. Taking some more tomorrow...looks like a mc though Sad Have started bleeding today. Very sad. DH had convinced himself everything was OK and a bit of spotting was normal, so he's really cut up. Better to happen now though than a few weeks down the line I guess.

Wishing everyone else more luck.

bugsyburge · 14/06/2013 09:55

ah fox I'm sorry to hear that.

fingers crossed for you Thanks
