Very early days but I'm due 26 January - really expecting early February after being 15 days late with DC1. Thought I'd get the ball rolling Grin

Anyone else?

Sad news Fox. I'm sorry.

EeyoreIsh · 14/06/2013 10:30

Oh Fox I'm really sorry to hear that :( a miscarriage is awful, give yourself plenty of time to recover.

my scan went well. I saw a heartbeat and baby where it should be, between 6-7 weeks. We're both still nervous, as we saw a heartbeat and then lost our last baby. But we're hoping and praying this one sticks.

vix206 · 14/06/2013 11:43

Fox, I'm so sorry. Having gone through this in March I have recent experience of how heartbreaking it is. Take good care of yourself, lots of rest. xx

Today's food so far...

0530: 2 Belvita breakfast biscuits in bed
0700: 2 Weetabix
0915: Large Apple
0945: Granola Bar
1015: Cinnamon Bagel with Banana
1130: Ready Salted Hula Hoops
1150: Minestrone Cuppasoup
1240: Houmous and couscous wrap
1330: Harvester Chewee Bar

Its now 1450 and I am starting to feel sick again. Honestly, apart from anything else I'm not sure I can afford this level of eating! I miss feeling hungry, I don't ever feel hungry just really nauseous, and can't face proper meals I just have to snack all the time. Hoping it doesn't last too much longer, or get any worse. Sorry to moan, I am grateful to be pregnant and in a lot of ways the symptoms are very comforting but still unpleasant!!

Hello all, can I join?

I just found out that I am pregnant with my 1st on Wednesday. We are so excited, but I think DH doesn't properly believe it yet.

Already the not eating/not drinking certain foods is a nightmare. I had a work event that seemed to revolve around wine and eating dangerous soft cheeses last night! There's just so long I'll be able to hide/make excuses. Any tips?

vix206 · 14/06/2013 15:16

Hello, welcome and congrats!! Only thing I can think of is to say you're on an elimination diet because you think you've got a food intolerance? That could cover things like dairy, alcohol etc.

Hello everyone!

Just got my BFP, literally 30 minutes ago (eek!). Due February 23rd by my reckoning and will be DC3. I haven't even told DH yet, I'm trying to keep quiet until Sunday as DC3 is going to be our last so need to make it all that bit more special than it already is.

We've had a bit of a chequered history with pregnancy, it took us three years to conceive then had a mc, then had DS then a mc, then had DD. We were expecting the trying part to take around six months as it did with DS and DD - I got pregnant on our first 'try' Hmm panicking a little though as I've just started a new job in April and can't see them being too pleased about it.

Aside from all that though, I'm so excited!

Bearfrills · 14/06/2013 16:45

I'll be four weeks on Sunday - how does that work when I know for a fact conception would have been 2nd June?

DawnOfTheDee · 14/06/2013 16:55

Hi all, just thought I'd check in. Haven't read back through all the posts yet - I'll get onto that later this evening.

Anyhoo, I moved my rescan from this afternoon to monday at 9am. Don't know why but I'm feeling a bit more positive. Haven't had any more bleeding and no pain so i'm hoping it's just my dates that were out (it is possible) and i will get good news at this scan.

Namechangingnorma · 14/06/2013 16:56

hi Bearfrills, congratulations! I also started a new job in April, just one of those things though eh

Bearfrills · 14/06/2013 17:11

Exactly Norma, can't be helped and I've been working my socks off so hopefully they'll see that I'm still valuable.

Dawn, I had bleeding in my pregnancies with DS and DD. It's not normal and should always be investigated but it's very common, if that makes sense? With DS I bled all over Christmas and was devastated as I thought I was 10wks and that I was miscarrying. I went to my 12wks scan after New Year (which I also bled over) and found I was only measuring 6wks. I had an awful 6wks waiting for a rescan, they said either my dates were wrong or it wasn't viable and all we could do was wait. 6wks later I was 13+4 and he's now almost 4yo. I continued to bleed on and off during the pregnancy, I was even admitted to hospital for it. With DD I had a bleed at 7wks and was convinced of the worst (I'd had a late mc before getting pregnant again). She was fine. Fingers crossed for you, I hope all is well.

Novascotia33 · 14/06/2013 18:06

Joining in please, tentatively, (first response) due date Feb 26th :-)

Congratulations everyone, feel the magic :-)

DawnOfTheDee · 14/06/2013 18:09

Thanks Bearfrills Smile

Mixology · 14/06/2013 18:33

Vix - I hadn't considered the elimination diet. My friends may think I'm properly ill as I normally eat and drink pretty much anything! It's been a testing first week with a co-worker opening a bottle of champagne at 5 today :-(. Strangely it seems very easy to resist knowing I'm doing it for the bean (I suppose more of an apple pip at this point!).

Dawn, from what I read minimal bleeding does seem normal. I have had cramps for days (much like pms!) but am trying to be calm about it.

feekerry · 14/06/2013 19:19

ye i got a promotion few months ago too. oops!
hey ho.
haven't told work yet and not planning to for a good few weeks. don't think i can hide it till 12 weeks but maybe will leave it till 8 weeks. anyone else told work yet???

littlestgirlguide · 14/06/2013 19:36

I had to tell my boss this week. I had a long-scheduled meeting with him to sign the paperwork to reduce my hours and go term-time from September when DD starts school. I had to tell him because I don't want to reduce my hours considerably just before goin off on mat leave! And then, once I had opened my mouth I couldn't shut it again and told three of my closer colleagues, which is lovely as a. I now have someone to cover for me as I dash to the loo every 20 minutes, and b. one of them also announced she and her husband are adopting a little girl in the new year too! Lots of baby talk in my office this week :-) still haven't told my dad, brother and SiL or my grown up stepdaughters though.

tinypolkadot · 14/06/2013 20:00

I haven't told work yet, we are expecting a restructure inthe next couple of months so I'm hoping to last until that's finished! I have told a couple of girls in the office who I'm close to, feels good to have someone to talk to, especially with all the imminent changes at work.

Does anyone else have diarrhea? I've just been struck with it since I got home tonight. I don't know if it's pregnancy, getting back off holiday, the new water filter or something I ate Confused

Dh offered to put the toilet roll in the fridge for me, so thoughtful! Grin

Bearfrills · 14/06/2013 20:09

I get it in early pregnancy too tinypolkadot, it's the change in hormones I think.

I'm not looking forward to telling work Confused I workIn the NHS but it's a very small team and I've only been there a few months so I'm worried they'll think I'm taking the piss getting pregnant so soon. And it means H&S will immediately bar me from one part of my job (once I tell them anyway), it's the part everyone dislikes so it's done on a rota basis to make sure everyone does their share, I'll be popular when I'm off that rota and everyone else has to do it more often to cover my share.

I'm going to try hold off for another few weeks if I can but on the other hand I have a history of miscarriage so feel like I should at least tell my senior manager so I can get the relevant support if I need it.

I'm overthinking it. I haven't even told DH yet never mind work.

EeyoreIsh · 14/06/2013 20:14

tinypolkadot I'm the same with diarrhoea, I've just started a thread about it as I was so surprised. It's rubbish!

vix206 · 14/06/2013 20:31

I work in my own company, just me and DH so no worries for me on that front. I even have a futon at the office so I can nap WinkGrin

So reassuring to know I'm not on my own! Hope it calms down a bit soon, I'd like to leave the house tomorrow!

Still, I'm thankful for every symptom and change. Think I'm going to get measured for a maternity bra tomorrow- if I can make it to the shops that is!

vix do you need to take on any staff? Naps at work sound heavenly

lyndsey90 · 14/06/2013 21:45

Hey!
I'm 23, pregnant with baby numero uno. Got my BFP on Wednesday when af was 4 days late. This little seedling took 11 cycles to conceive.
(i had a chem preg in Feb but I don't consider that a pregnancy).

Baby estimated due date is15th February which makes me 4 weeks and 6 days.

Current symptoms are just tiredness and awful smelly farts lol!!! It's horrible!!!

laura0007 · 14/06/2013 23:51

I've told work but I'm a nanny so my boss needs to arrange things for while I'm off so the more notice the better. And the children I look after were very excited and asked if the baby would be their cousin! Not quite...
