Very early days but I'm due 26 January - really expecting early February after being 15 days late with DC1. Thought I'd get the ball rolling Grin

Anyone else?

Morning all. I had to leave work yesterday afternoon because I was freaking out about the spotting that I thought was getting worse. It's not really though actually still brown spotting but I've taken the day off work anyway because I'm too frightened to pretend to be OK at work.

I did a cleablur digi this morning and it is still saying 1-2 weeks! How's that I'm 5+5 now?! (I know the first is since conception and the second is since LMP but nonetheless it doesn't work) Haven't even DTD in the last 2 weeks. I guess it it wrong but my hCG must be low. What does that mean?

Got an early scan on Thursday. They said they couldn't do it before 6 weeks as they wouldn't see anything, but at this rate I don't think they'll see anything anyway.

OK, sorry for freaking out. Am chilling out now Smile Is everyone else ok?

Thisisfreakingmeout · 11/06/2013 08:32

I have a doc appointment on Thursday and I am finding it hard to concentrate on much else!

I get twinges low in my pelvis when I stand, stretch or cough to quickly. I have come down with a regular bout of sinusitis so I am sneezing and coughing then getting worried about all the squeezing this is causing on the bean. Hope it's holding tight.

wplum · 11/06/2013 08:50

Hello, i hope its ok to join? I got bfp on Friday, it still hasnt really sunk in! This will be dc2, first with my new Husband.
The cramps some of you are describing are spot on, just like a period is about to arrive. Thats the only similar feeling to my last pregnancy, this time my nipples are on fire and i feel a bit sick in the evening.
foxmulder im glad you are chilling!

bugsyburge · 11/06/2013 11:50

morning all, try not to worry too much Fox. think positive, hopefully it will all be spot on for all of us. I'm not seeing the doc til next wednesday, seems forever away!!!!!

wplum · 11/06/2013 13:10

Same here, bugsyburge i have the docs next Wed too.
I cant get enough ginger ale, im addicted, was never fussed for it before!

Thingymajigs · 11/06/2013 14:19

I hope the scan goes ok fox. I can imagine you must be worried but the tests aren't always very accurate.
Hello to all the newbies.
Can't believe some of you have 12 week scans booked already! Don't think mine will happen until the beginning of August but I can't make a booking appointment for another 3-4 weeks. I'm having a private scan in less than 2 weeks though then I'll get on with the midwife appointment.

littlestgirlguide · 11/06/2013 14:44

Hi all! I've come down with a horrible dry tickly cough, can anyone recommend a decent cough medicine that I'm allowed to take?
Got the doctors tomorrow afternoon, I will be 5+6. What's the earliest they can detect a heartbeat?
Paranoid about missed miscarriage. My SiL lost a baby 18 months ago at 6 weeks but didn't find out till her 12 week scan, and I'm scared that will happen to me even though I've got no cause to be worried. Still getting some symptoms, knackered, queasy but not actually sick. Someone tell me to stop stressing!

EeyoreIsh · 11/06/2013 15:35

Can I join?

Due 5 February. Second pregnancy, but last one mc between 7/8 weeks so I'm very nervous!

I've had spotting since bfp, off to see gp this evening. And hopefully get a referral to the epau.

Namechangingnorma · 11/06/2013 15:38

Hi Ladies, I'm joining, BFP on Sunday, I'm 34 and fingers crossed this will be my first. I have had 2xmmc in the past but a long time ago with previous partners. DH and I got married last August and I already have a DSD who is a teenager (perfect babysitting age :-)). Terrified about mmc again, booked a docs apt next wed to let them know and get the ball rolling and hoping for an early scan due to my history. We have agreed not to tell anyone so lovely to be able to talk to people on here

TeaAddict235 · 11/06/2013 16:45

Hello Wplum , Eyoreish and Namechanging, welcome aboard.

Wow, some of you ladies are really ploughing ahead with scans and stuff. I don't even think that my local GP knows that I'm registered with them. Never heard a peep after registering with them. I think that I'll leave it until about mid July before going up there. IKWYM littlestgirlguide, I am concerned about early mc too from familial experience.

Who said that they wanted all things salty? Meee tooo. I gobbled off some bags of Mccoys, before DH got in yesterday. And today after just one packet, I'm still contemplating munching on another one to tide me over.

DH mentioned something yesterday about us going swimming! what?! I've spent the past 5 years trying to get you motivated to do sport, come running with me, swimming, anything, and now that you see that I'm having an extra big bolognaise portion, you mention swimming? the joker!

Ruggle · 11/06/2013 18:08

Very early days for me...found out yesterday...and if all goes well, due around 14th Feb! Yay!

sunflowered · 11/06/2013 20:45

Can I very tentatively join the club? I've had a succession of very faint lines today not that I've poas 4 times in a row or anything .

All being well this is number 1 for me and DH and should be due about 20th Feb Smile We're settling into a village in Kent after moving from sarf london last year.

sunflowered · 11/06/2013 20:47

I also bring cake - have been stocking up today while I can still manage it but there's plenty to go round

wplum · 11/06/2013 21:16

sunfloweredif its carrot cake count me in. Congratulations on the lines, 4 tests can't be wrong!
Still feeling very crampy, taken paracetamol and now in bed with a cuppa.

EeyoreIsh · 11/06/2013 21:55

Hi teaaddict I had my gp appointment and referral to epau because I lost my last baby three months after spotting. So I'm super cautious this time around, especially since I'm spotting again.

I've got my first scan on Friday morning. DH and I are nervous and excited.

Hope everyone else is well. These early times are tough! I had a two hour lunch time snooze today I was so shattered, and so I'm still catching up on work now Sad

Cherryoats · 11/06/2013 22:05

Hey all! Can I join too?
I am due 17th with number two :)
feekerry are you me? I also had hg starting at 5 weeks and had to be hospitolised, so I am counting down till next week, hoping hg doesn't show its face and eating yummy healthy (ish) things incase I can't again for a while.

sunflowered congratulations :)

sunflowered · 11/06/2013 22:58

wplum carrot cake it is Grin - hope the paracetamol did the trick.

cherryoats congratulations back. Fingers crossed that hg stays away. Retrospective congratulations to everyone else on the thread too - here's to a healthy 30-something weeks!

Thisisfreakingmeout · 11/06/2013 23:15

There is a lady who is looking enormous at 26 weeks at work. My boss (just back from mat leave) keeps making comments about how this woman doesn't know what a tough time is coming etc etc. Boss doesn't yet know that she is freaking me out with every comment ! Some other people have been dropping clangers regularly too!
Anyone else had any? Or any guesses?

SamL88 · 12/06/2013 07:48

TeaAddict My doctor said that I was right to see her so early as the hospitals are rather booked up in advance for scan dates so the earlier you book, the closer to 12 weeks you'll get a scan. Went last Thursday and had a letter through yesterday saying my scan is 31st July.
All starting to seem real now!
Thisisfreakingmeout I've had one woman guess but it was a particularly bad day of symptoms for me so anyone watching closely could've guessed really! I too have a close colleague who is pregnant. I'm trying to not give the game away by asking her too many seemingly inappropriate questions.
And....congrats to all the new comers. It's getting full!!

Apparentlychilled · 12/06/2013 08:11

Is anyone else eating their own body weight in carbs? I was feeling really sick this morning so made porridge. After a decent bowl, I still felt sick, so made another. Now in sitting here wondering if I need another...! Carbs/fat/sugar appear to be the only way to deal w my morning sickness.

FoxMulder · 12/06/2013 09:00

I've not no symptoms whatsoever, which is worrying in and of itself.

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 12/06/2013 09:37

Fox, I have no symptoms and tested with internet cheapie just now. It's come up negative. I have no spotting or bleeding or orbut it looks like this is it for me. I should be 5+5. Not sure what to do now, but am wishing we hadn't told our families. I feel stupid, like I just made he whole thing up in my head. I certainly did have several positive tests last week so I know I didn't imagine it but I guess it was just too early. I hope that you get good news - it seems like lots of people experience spotting and have healthy pregnancies.

rueyrichardson · 12/06/2013 09:39

Mmm, yes, carbs fat and sugar help me too. I am resisting the urge to ladle peanut butter onto white toast and butter too much though. My jeans don't fit me already, muffin top galore.

tinypolkadot · 12/06/2013 09:42

Hi everyone, I'm back after a couple of weeks away on holiday - and congratulations to you all!

Well, holiday was lovely apart from the constant worry about food, and I also had a couple of red blood on wiping instances, which I've put down to cervical bleeding and constipation, but really worried me. T Mobile have made a nice little profit from me buying data top ups abroad so I could Google every little thing!

I poas this morning and line showed up instantly which is a relief Smile

We were on holiday with friends too, so they were all guzzling back the booze Envy still, it was nice not to have a hangover.

I'm secretly glad to be home!

No more symptoms really, still got sore boobs and cramps. I've also burst into tears a couple of times, hope that doesn't happen at work!

I've got a form from my gp to fill in and then they will get in touch to make an appointment. Hope it happens soon!

ChocoFrog · 12/06/2013 09:45

Hello to all the new bfp and congrats to you all. The bus is filling up nicely.

Feeling decidedly icky today. I'm at the point I had my mc last time round so I'm constantly expecting the worst. Even poas this morning just to check it was still positive! Going mad. Grin Got my early scan tomorrow morning so really hoping I can feel more positive after that.

To everyone out there who is worrying I know how you feel and send you lots of cake and chocolate to help. It's what gets me through the day!
