Just had my scan, its a boy!!

roofio87 · 23/05/2013 11:18

yay, delivery man just brought some things I ordered for my little boy!! a gorgeous little tracksuit and a blue snowsuit for my winter baby!! got both on sale, the snowsuit was a real bargain cos no one wants to buy one in may!! just need.my little man to put in them now!! (I'm getting way too excited!!)

Smitten1981 · 23/05/2013 11:55

Congrats Empress Another boy!!

Do we have a tally of boys vs girls anywhere?

Natalieand · 23/05/2013 12:00

Congrats on the baby boy empress!!! Xx I take it the rest of the scan was all good news too? Xxx

No smitten we don't I think we should deffo start one though!!

What's the easiest way of doing it?

Smitten1981 · 23/05/2013 12:17

I'm not sure. I don't actually have any work to do today so I might go back over this thread and do a tally, if I miss anyone they can add on.

I might put it on the Stats thread though as it could get confusing and don't want to interrupt all the chat. Will set about it after lunch - on nom nom.

PS - Shocked at my fitness level, just walked the three minutes to the post box and back and up the stairs and I was seriously out of breath Blush

Wickedgirl · 23/05/2013 12:22

Just got back from my 20 week scan and everything is just as it should be.....no heart issues. Yay! I can breathe again and relax a bit

Empress77 · 23/05/2013 12:22

yes the scan showed all was well, which was amazing! so pleased. Amazing to see him so big now and kicking his legs around loads!

Flyer747 · 23/05/2013 12:39

Back from my scan all ok and as it should be. I'm a few days bigger than I thought, but she said my due date stays the same. I'm thinking we may have a big baby, I got put forward one week at 12wk scan and now showing just over 20 weeks, when I am 19+4, DP is one of four and he was the smallest at 9lbs 4, the rest were 10lbs's!

And we decided to wait for the birth to find out the sex, I was so tempted but I went with my initial gut feeling and that was to wait and have a surprise.

Baby was folding its arms, then flinging them around and kicking like mad, but I still can't feel anything with the anterior placenta, the sonographer said it shouldn't be too long until I feel kicks and told me where I should start to feel them, looking at my placenta position.

So chuffed, but baby wouldn't play ball with the camera for a picture so we couldn't get a decent one. I'm not bothered so long as all is ok that's the most important thing! Long post here :-)

TheFalconsmistress · 23/05/2013 12:45

Great scan news folks Grin

flyer I have started to feel her so much more this week 21+5 atm I worry when I dont feel her for a few hours now Grin im never going to relax I think lol

HotSoupDumpling · 23/05/2013 13:14

Great news scan news everyone!

Thanks for the advice and support Clapham and Natalie! I think I'm going to have a long chat to DH as we are currently not presenting a united front to FIL.

Haven't got a changing bag yet - still undecided. I still don't have a clue what is necessary and what isn't. E.g. I thought of getting a travel change mat, but then saw my friend using a disposable Pampers changing mat. Good for catching any leaks while baby is being changed, and they are very thin so light and portable. Trying to weight up the environmental cost in my head.

claphammama · 23/05/2013 13:18

congrats to all the scanners!

smitten I'm actually busy at work but so insanely bored that any form of procrastination is welcome :-) Do you have a gmail account?

Why don't we add all boys and girls in this spreadsheet:
docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AidVHHwJSwC3dDU2VzFhWWt1ckg4dW84WkdCNzhOaFE#gid=0

I find the mumsnet way of keeping track of things very fiddly and you never know which version is final... this way we all see the same doc and always the latest version. I've created columns for boys, girls and surprises. I also thought we may want to share the names we consider? This doc is open so anyone with a gmail account can access it and make changes. Those without a gmail account - can you remind us what you have and when and we will add you in!

claphammama · 23/05/2013 13:21

I created a link so it saves you copying and pasting:
docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AidVHHwJSwC3dDU2VzFhWWt1ckg4dW84WkdCNzhOaFE#gid=0

Natalieand · 23/05/2013 13:27

clapham I don't have a gmail account so could u add me please

I'm having a boy :-) and considering calling him Louie xx

TheFalconsmistress · 23/05/2013 13:31

Sorry rant here but i need to get it out. As i have said before i am studying with the OU well i phoned this afternoon to see if they would bank my scores so i could start on a different intake as the final exam is a few weeks before my due date. The said because i cancelled to courses before it would make me unable to study with them again!! I did not even start the other courses they were way out of my leauge (science) but because they did not pull me off till after their start point, I cant study anymore grrr i am so mad!!! I lose all my funding and plans I did not know i was going to be so sick or get pregnant for that fact when booked the module om on now Sad

Sorry for the rant but had to get it out Blush

Smitten1981 · 23/05/2013 13:35

Oooh great thinking Clapham. I'll log on now.

Smitten1981 · 23/05/2013 13:41

Hmm I can't seem to write in it, do I need admin status or something?

claphammama · 23/05/2013 13:44

sorry! forgot to change the settings so you were in "view only" mode - everyone can edit it now. Try again

Smitten1981 · 23/05/2013 13:45

Done it, wouldn't work in Firefox or Chrome for some reason! I will start working back through the thread, will give me something to do this afternoon.

TheFalconsmistress · 23/05/2013 13:45

Grr now they just phoned to say they got it wrong grrrrrr and i can study and bank my scores this time omg fuming......need a cup of tea asap Confused

claphammama · 23/05/2013 13:46

enjoy! :-)

Smitten1981 · 23/05/2013 13:52

Actually that may be more of a hindrance than a help - don't want to get anyone's details wrong.

Add away people...

Bronzemoth · 23/05/2013 14:18

The spreadsheet is a great solution.

Falcon - sounds like good news in the end at least. Hope the cup of tea has worked its magic.

hot soup I don't have any experience to help you but everyones answers have been helpful to me as well. Definitely something to talk through with the other half before anyones invited. My MIL and FIL plus two sisters are all lovely but I can imagine that it could be completely overwhelming if they arrive en masse.

Glad all the scans are going well. I'm up tomorrow at exactly 20 weeks!

roxvox · 23/05/2013 14:22

Thanks Claphammama - I have added myself!

I am not sure who mentioned the BabaBing changing bag, but I just had a look on the John Lewis website and I already love it! I've got some vouchers to use up in there too so that will make it a smidge cheaper Smile

claphammama · 23/05/2013 14:51

roxvox I bought Babybing on Sunday and mentioned it earlier. I like how it looks and feels. Seems very robust and practical. It's fabric but they must have treated it with something as it seems to be wipeable... Was also the only one DP liked too.
