Congrats roofio another boy!

I started leaking at around 29-30 weeks with dd, enough to warrant pads so will expect the same again.

Smitten1981 · 20/05/2013 14:18

Another boy? Congrats!

There definitely must have been something in the water back in December and January!

Claphammama · 20/05/2013 14:23

another boy...??? wow - congrats roofio! The boy numbers are getting a bit spooky now!

Warlin · 20/05/2013 14:27

Congrats on your boy roofio! Let the planning/ name selection begin!

funkky · 20/05/2013 14:33

Congrats roofio. Another boy wow! Got re scanned again today as couldn't see head and heart properly at 20 week scan 2 weeks ago. They found everything perfect today though sonographer was a MAN who was a bit full of himself and kept hinting that he always knows what to look for to ensure he does all his measurements in one scan.

He gave us a clear picture of baby's willy and warned us not to put it on Facebook. Shock.

Placenta still anterior and low but he said not to worry as positions change as uterus gets bigger. Booked for another scan at 34 weeks to check. Baby weighs 100 grammes more in less than two weeks.

Welcome to the newbies! all the best to all scans coming up, glad to read all the nice stories and I love mumsnet. Grin

Claphammama · 20/05/2013 15:02

great news funkky! Why did he advise you not to post the photo on Facebook...? For real..? Did he consider the photo inappropriate or was he worried about face recognition and violating baby's privacy? :-) Please post your scan on facebook!

legallyblond · 20/05/2013 15:25

Congrats Roofio and Funky!!!! So exciting! Grin.

Feeling very "twinnish" at the moment - I look 7 months pregnant (literally - the size I was with DD then, although my bump was little with her) and I overdid it physically at the weekend - all day sat walking round our local country show and gardening and washing etc all day sun. Solo gues in advance now for tmi, I have the glamour this pregnancy of vulval varicose veins... Didn't get it at all with DD but apparently it's v common in twin pregs.... Basically standing/ walking etc (and bizarrely, pooing Blush) makes "down there" very achy and I have a small bulge (a varicose vein). Good news is its all about extra blood flow (even more with twins - my consultant said my body is having to work at least half as hard again as it would with s singleton) and extra pressure of two of everything (babies but also fluid and placentas) and it usually just disappears when the babies arrive.... Bad news is its achy and tiring, especially when coupled with my achy lower back (nothing serious, just that I'm tall and pregnant!)....

But moan over, congrats again!!!!

Good luck to those scanning now/later today!

legallyblond · 20/05/2013 15:28

Solo gues? Apologies.... Was what I meant to say!!!

PseudoBadger · 20/05/2013 15:44

Well I'm here to even things up a bit with my GIRL :o

The sonographer was lovely, but I have to be rescanned on the 8th June as heart and kidneys difficult to see - she wasn't worried but wasn't able to view them as well as she'd like.

So I have a scan at 22 weeks and then a Doppler scan at just over 24 weeks.

Haylebop12 · 20/05/2013 15:49

Yay badger well done!

cazboldy · 20/05/2013 15:50

congrats roofio and badger Smile

Warlin · 20/05/2013 15:55

Congrats funkky on your boy and pseudo on your girl! Are you both happy or did either revalation take you by surprise??

legally you must be exhausted growing twins! I can't imagine how hard it must be! I wonder do I have a varicus vein too....I have lots of pressure down there when I go to the toilet mainly...feels like my whole insides are going to fall out even when I just wee....it's really uncomfortable :( I put it down to internal piles or something but could be something else Blush. I did get a lot of pressure last time but it was much later on and because the baby was so low which isnt the case now.

PseudoBadger · 20/05/2013 16:00

I'm happy and surprised! And scared, as I know what to do with a boy....

Racheld33 · 20/05/2013 16:04

Congrats psuedo and roofio lovely to hear about your heathly babies!

legally I too am in the 'bulge' down below group-I was blaming it on my second pregnancy, my GP luckily wasn't too shocked, so just hoping all goes after birth!!!

Ellie15 · 20/05/2013 16:11

greetings all, I have been lurking for a couple of weeks now. Its been really nice to hear everyones stories, sorry for those of you having work stresses. My next scan is friday and I am a little nervous but all your posts have put me at ease. Thanks for being a lovely bunch.

roofio87 · 20/05/2013 16:21

Wickedgirl · 20/05/2013 16:50

ellie you have the same due date as me. I'm due on 9th but with baby 4. Congratulations to those who scanned today.....it's all very exciting. My scan is Thursday (but we won't be finding out the sex).

HotSoupDumpling · 20/05/2013 17:11

Congrats all!

Warlin: Hmm at your FIL.

Claphammama · 20/05/2013 17:16

legally this sounds really tough... good to know it all disappears once you give birth. I really feel for you though. I'm finding my second pregnancy so much tougher than my first one and can't even imagine how it must feel for you with twins. Sending you a hug and a glass of Wine

I have no bulges etc for now but I had a couple of instances of wetting myself a bit a couple of times during my violent attacks of coughing last week. Luckily was at home at the time. Also quite glamorous as you can see :-)

congrats badger - a girl for a change :-) this is lovely - you will have one of each now, right?

Welcome ellie!

warlin if you have any tips on how to force / fake motivation at work let me know... I gather your job also requires you to appear "enthusiastic about the cause" etc... so perhaps you will have some tips... I struggle...
