morning. we are hoping to find out the sex yes. baby is feeling very wriggling today so hopefully it will co operate! had a dream last night that I had a little baby girl bit no one would let me hold her!!
couldn't sleep in today, too nervous and excited!! good luck today pseudo and cherrycherry Smile

PseudoBadger · 20/05/2013 08:51

I've got hardly any movement so far compared with DS. Hopefully I'll see a wriggly baby!

MotherOfNations · 20/05/2013 09:03

I've just very embarassangly fainted at the bus stop while taking dd to nursery.
I hadn't had time to eat this morning and felt weak so the friend I was with offered me a handful of sweets to get my blood sugar up but I was gradually feeling worse.
I'd just finished asking her if she could take my dd into nursery for me while I went home when I felt my vision blur and I fainted. Dd didn't seem too concerned , she was just happy that she was getting to go to nursery with her friends mum.

Flyer747 · 20/05/2013 09:34

Oh dear MoN go home and get some breakfast down ya neck, I've fainted many times pre pregnancy and always low blood sugar and BP. Hope you are feeling better now xx

Warlin · 20/05/2013 10:19

Hi All

Just a quickie as in work so will catch up at some stage later. Good luck to all today's scannies.

When I went for mine on Friday DH dropped me off and went to park the car. The sornographer was waiting for me and took me stright in for scan. This has never happened as usually there is a long wait. She didn't seem in the least interested in waiting for dh and I was worried he'd miss it. So I rang him and thankfully he was able to abandon the car and run in!!! Why is the NHS so flipping inconsistent! All seemed fine and she confirmed (as I had suspected) that I have an anterior placenta again, which is why I don't get that much movement. LO was being very co-operative and even turned to look at the camera! My DD has been brought forward by a day to Oct 2nd.

Things busy with me at the moment as DH is away for a few days with work so I'm trying to juggle work, ds and dog all on my own...roll on Wed night! It's ds's 1st birthday at the weekend and we are having a big party so lots of stress trying to get that organised.

Waves to everyone and I will read back over what I missed when I get a minute

MotherOfNations · 20/05/2013 10:26

Still feeling a bit shakey and weak but have had a bowl of cereal and some coffee.
I had a txt this morning saying that my pram was due for delivery between 9.20 and 10.20. Thinking I may well still be on my way back from dd's nursery at this time I requested delivery to a neighbour.
The idiots have just txt to say they've delivered to a neighbour at number 171 when I live at 129. That's quite a distance for me to carry a heavy 3 in 1 travel system. What the hell was wrong with delivering next door? I've txt the delivery driver and emailed the eBay seller but no response as yet.
Sorry for the rant.

cherrycherry41 · 20/05/2013 11:28

Good luck to everyone scanning today! Looking forward to hearing how you get on. Sounds as though you are all looking to find out the sex too, so it will be interesting to see if the boy/girl count evens out a bit on the forum!

Glad to hear your scan went well yesterday Warlin, even if your DH was close to missing out! Pleased to hear you've got a healthy and co-operative baby though Smile - did you not find out the sex then?

Sorry to hear about your morning MoN. I hope you're feeling much better now.

MotherOfNations · 20/05/2013 11:51

Just a while ago I went to the loo and noticed a large wet patch in my underwear. I phoned the hospital and explained to the midwife but she's insisting that its probably just urine incontinence. I know its not urine. It's oderlous and I'm pretty sure I would know if I wet myself.

PseudoBadger · 20/05/2013 11:52

I'm sure you will anyway MoN, but put a pad on and keep an eye on it. Don't be afraid to demand to be seen x

MotherOfNations · 20/05/2013 11:55

If it hadn't happened just after fainting I wouldn't be so worried. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

Haylebop12 · 20/05/2013 11:57

MoN I also am quite leaky, and its not urine. I was presuming it was discharge as some days there's very little but some days there's loads. Blush

Good luck to today's scanees. Is going to be interesting if we can even the genders out a little!

Claphammama · 20/05/2013 12:07

mon so sorry to hear about your incident this morning... hope you feel better now. I agree with everyone - see if you keep "leaking" before you get too worried. It's normal to have more discharge when you are pregnant.

good luck to all the scanners today - can't wait to hear what everyone is having!!! A crazy day in the office today but will keep checking this thread for all the news!

cherrycherry41 · 20/05/2013 12:32

Another leaking issue... Im leaking colostrum already! 20 weeks yesterday, is it because im a second time mum? :/
I had a massive milk supply whilst breastfeeding DD, dont tell me im gonna have to start wearing breast pads?! :/

OP posts:
Warlin · 20/05/2013 12:35

MoN When you say fluid, was it discharge. I too am getting loads of that Blush. If it looked like amniotic fluid, then def demand to be see seen. Hope you're ok from your fainting episode.

rox our hospital won't tell you the sex so we had a gender scan last week so know it's a boy. I could even see the willy on the screen at the scan and the sonographer refused to agree or acknowldge my comments...they claim they have been sued for inaccurate readings which is a cop out I think.

Can't wait to find out what everyone else is having!

Fil's response to the question "guess what we are having" was "I hope it's a girl.....!" How rude!

I just can't get motivated in work...too much else to think about!

Warlin · 20/05/2013 12:36

cherry I am leaking some colostrum too..not enough to come through a top and be noticeable but there is def a bit Blush

cherrycherry41 · 20/05/2013 12:42

Warlin mines not soaking clothing or anything but im not wearing a bra, just a t shirt and have been doing some cleaning then dp noticed some little spots of liquid on my top and sure enough when i squeezed i got colostrum out (a good 2.5ml id say!) Hmm

OP posts:
MotherOfNations · 20/05/2013 12:47

It's definitely not dicharge as it was very thin and watery. I'll try not to worry unless it happens again. Dp is meant to be working tonight but is going to phone and cancel as I have worried him sick.

MotherOfNations · 20/05/2013 12:50

My colostrum has always started around the 17wk mark cherry and never had much of a milk supply.

Natalieand · 20/05/2013 12:58

I can't get anything out of my boobs yet I'm 19 weeks today but with dd I didn't get anything at all until she was a week old

Sorry to hear about your horrible morning MoN try and put your feet up for the afternoon and eat lots of mars bars lol

Natalieand · 20/05/2013 12:59

Sorry posted to early

Good luck to those scanning today! Be lovely to see if w shave more boys or a few more girls too our group! Wil keep a check on the thread
Will be my turn on Friday :-)

PseudoBadger · 20/05/2013 13:00

Not sure what will happen with my colostrum as I only stopped feeding DS a few weeks ago

Slowjogs · 20/05/2013 13:07

warlin as a clinical negligence lawyer I can say I'd NEVER take on a case about inaccurate gender scanning- there's no injury! You can't sue for inconvenience / distress / general annoyance otherwise the NHS would be swamped with claims Wink so definitely a cop-out not to tell you!
Good luck for all the scans today!

roofio87 · 20/05/2013 13:50

its a boy!!!Grin everything present and correct..need to re scan in a couple of weeks cos they were face down so couldn't see face or heart very well but everything seems fine!! seems so much more real now!!Grin
