Really pleased for all those with good news today! I have mine a week tomorrow - so scared about it! I can't even recall being this worried before.

Slippysnow · 15/04/2013 19:20

Yeah mumma mine was 12 week scan. First time I saw the lil wriggler

MummaPanda · 15/04/2013 19:22

Funny you should say that berry I had a very real nightmare dream last night that the scan showed TRIPLETS!!! This better not be true! Twins wouldn't be much better!

Saundy · 15/04/2013 19:22

Slippy that's brilliant! I would LOVE a Halloween or Bonfire baby, am hoping this one gets the memo!!

Slippysnow · 15/04/2013 19:22

Thanks everybody. It was amazing misstweed made it so real, so pleased all was ok. I booked the earliest appointment (8.15am) for the 20week so I have less time to panic before hand

To all those who feel faint during blood tests ask to lie down as that really helps! Thank god it doesn't bother me as I've had literally monthly bloods done since I was 10!

Yay for positive scans too!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 15/04/2013 22:03

Woo hoo more positve scans is great news.

MummaPanda · 15/04/2013 22:59

Exactly 11hrs til scan time yaaaaaay!!! Now I'm going to go to sleep so it comes faster! Grin

harverina · 16/04/2013 00:06

So pleased that there have been positive scans today, yay!! Eco mine is a week tomorrow too!!! I will be 12+3 according to my own calculations Grin this will be my 2nd scan as I had a scan at 8 weeks to rule out ectopic pregnancy due to left sided pain but it was over so quickly that I don't actually feel I had a scan - although of course it have us so much reassurance.

Dizzy I am also getting pains in my tummy, slightly cramps but I also have a very upset tummy too which isn't helping. Someone mentioned having backache down the thread? I have had back pain for weeks and had it last time too...for me it only for worse as my pregnancy went on. It's a very achy pain as opposed to sharp pains. I assume they are a mix or normal stretchy pains and upset tummy pains.

I can't remember what I have posted today as my phone had no signal when I tried to post huge replies earlier! So forgive me if I repeat anything I already said Shock

My nausea was so much better today - so much so that I managed a 2 course lunch which was delicious!! I was very worried that the very sudden lack of nausea was a bad sign when it came back with a bang tonight. Yuk it's awful. I can't decide if it would be better to be sick or not, though I spend all my time trying not to be.

Glad I'm not the only one whose rings are tight! Last time in only felt them right in the final weeks. This pregnancy is so different! I wonder if I am having a boy or whether it is nothing to do with gender? What do you guys think? I just don't get how two pregnancies can be so different for the same person! Is it hormone levels?

Sorry for those of you who are spotting still. Ariel although you must be so worried and dread every trip to the toilet it is positive that your spotting is brown as this is old blood.

Bangon loved your list! I would love:

  • to break my mamas and papas pram and pretend it was accidental so that I could buy an icandy or bugaboo (dh would be mad!!!);
  • to commit to aqua natal classes - I love swimming but didn't so this last time which I regretted;
  • use reusable nappies too! (Prob wont)
  • breastfeed for 1 year+ but this scares and worries me slightly Hmm

Highly recommend baby massage my dd loves it and even now age 3 we still do it occasionally, especially when using her eczema cream. We just went to a free local authority class which was good.

Tonight I have brought a selection of snacks and drinks to bed with me in case I fancy anything and it miraculously cures my nausea. So far nothing is appealing apart from the cold tap water and that's not really helping Hmm

I don't think I can feel my fundal all the time though sometimes when lying flat I do feel a distinctly hard area - other times I can't find it. Do you guys think this is normal?

Hope you are all ok tonight Grin

stuffthenonsense · 16/04/2013 05:10

I feel movement Grin

Dizzy81 · 16/04/2013 07:18

Stuff, oh how exciting!!

Im exhausted, woke up for a wee at just gone midnight and it took forever to get back to sleep.

Had tugging pains in the right handside last night, which made me smile as its a good sign. X

Dizzy81 · 16/04/2013 07:21

How many weeks are you. Stuff?

Fairydogmother · 16/04/2013 07:27

getoffthecoffeetable · 16/04/2013 07:32

That's really exciting stuff
Good news for everyone's scans yesterday.
mumma good luck with your scan today.
My nausea has come back. Need to be constantly sucking mints at the moment. Especially on the train with all those special smells!
My boobs are huge as well. I look like I've had a boob job done!

stuffthenonsense · 16/04/2013 07:36

I'm 11+4

stuffthenonsense · 16/04/2013 07:36

Saundy · 16/04/2013 07:46

Good morning ladies!

Good luck MP & Ariel, that's brilliant Stuff what does it feel like?

Have woken up today feeling exhausted & sick - why is it always on a work day?! Still no scan date through, am hoping it arrives this week.

I hope it's a good day for everyone Smile

Slippysnow · 16/04/2013 07:50

Good luck scanners today, I want to go back!! I uploaded my pic for anyone who's interested :). I thought it was clear but others disagreed

MissTweed · 16/04/2013 07:52

Good luck to anyone having their scans today! Grin Hopefully as more and more positive scan stories come through it'll put the minds to rest of those of you that haven't had theirs yet. I can't believe how worried I was now..... Such a magical experience.

We told our parents yesterday, (my mum is still squealing) and they have offered to pay for the pushchair (up to £500 but we could always add to it). Before we were going to get a maclaren techno xt (its a stroller which can be used from birth) as I thought most people end up ditching their travel system anyway so why not go straight to the stroller and save money?? But now we've got this gift should we consider a travel system or am I just considering it because we can?? Any 2nd/3rd/4th timers with any advice? Smile

MissTweed · 16/04/2013 07:53

Slippy, where have you uploaded it to?

Dizzy81 · 16/04/2013 08:04

Good luck to all those having their scans today.

Roll on 3rd may, as that's when I've got my scan. I'm trying not to worry about it. I'm trying soo hard not to get stressed at workout it's easier said than done.
