Nice photo slippy :-)

Looking forward to my scan two weeks today and then hopefully telling the world.

Would it be stupid to buy a 3 wheel jogger type pram if I'm not actually going to jog with it - just hopefully lots of walking and I like the look of them?!

I'm 9w6days and feeling much bettter - phew - have a good day everybody!

theboob · 16/04/2013 08:40

brilliant news on positive scans !

not slept much last night , worried sick about my dissertation results today . I am also picking up my maternity uniform , all feels very real now .

getoffthecoffeetable · 16/04/2013 08:44

We've got the Phil and Ted's Vibe which I love. We do a lot of walking on mud etc with the dig and found this one to be perfect. I think it really depends when you're going to use it. If you need to go on buses, a more lightweight one that you can fold down would be better.
I found it was good to actually have a go with the pushchairs because some push easier than others if that makes sense. Also ours does rear and forward facing which is good.
Ariel good luck too today. How're you feeling?

suprisepitstop · 16/04/2013 09:15

exciting about scans. mine isnt until next sunday when i will be 13+2, the hospital said 'we are very busy and there are lots of ladies more pregnant than you waiting for 12 week scan'. nice. will i be giving birth a month late because they cant fit me in at 9 months?

notsoold · 16/04/2013 09:40

I also felt movement 12+4 weeks here!!!
:) :) :)

berrybomb · 16/04/2013 09:44

lovely pic slippy - getting me very excited about next week! I can't believe the difference between my 8w scan, and these 12w pics.

Yay for movements as well. I am convinced I felt something last night lying in bed, but this is my first, so very unlikely.

Can't wait to hear about today's scans!

Fairydogmother · 16/04/2013 10:14

great pic slippy. they didnt zoom in that much on mine and i'm really gutted i dont have a pic so close!

mine just looks like a blob

getoffthecoffeetable · 16/04/2013 10:16

suprisepitstop my scan isn't until I'm 13+2 either on 29th April. Am just hoping I've got my dates right and we fit in with all the right dates for all the tests!

Fairydogmother · 16/04/2013 10:19

meant to say i've been looking at travel systems too!

we're going to get the uppababy vista with the black frame and silver carrycot and toddler chair. the maxicosi car seat fits on the frame too. really nice to push about and everything works so easily like collapsing with one hand etc.

i want it now!

berrybomb · 16/04/2013 10:39

I am so confused by pushchairs / prams/ strollers / travel systems, we've tried to look a few times, but no idea what we need! I think we'll spend a weekend in various baby shops trying out everything and working out the pros and cons...but then probably go and get a cheaper one on ebay!

busyprocrastinating · 16/04/2013 10:39

I'm feeling a bit stressed and tearful today. Got my scan tomorrow and I am so scared of the blood test. I keep reading this thread to try and help me feel more positive but all I keep thinking is that I can't handle it all and I wish I hadnt even got pg in the first place.

MissTweed · 16/04/2013 11:07

I've just been bitten my a dog!!! I was standing in my gateway minding my own business when it bit me!! It's broken the skin!! I've had a tetanus (i think) as I when to Thailand last year. I do t need to worry about anything else do I? I'm reluctant to google it as I know within 5 mins of doing so I'll feel doomed!Hmm

MissTweed · 16/04/2013 11:08

*by a dog (wasn't my dog)

MummaPanda · 16/04/2013 11:13

Scan went quick great, little wriggly baby in there measuring 10+5, which is pretty much exactly what I expected. So iv got another appointment for the real 12 week scan 2 weeks from today. Crazy how little it was compared to my 12 week pics of dd, can't believe how fast they grow! But even at nearly 11 weeks could still see arms and legs wriggling around. Even though it was only for about a minute Sad and hurray for there only being one in there! And hurray for finally having a due date!!! 7th November! I'm going to wander off and add myself to the stats threat finally!! Grin

getoffthecoffeetable · 16/04/2013 11:14

Clean with the usual anti bacterial stuff which you've no doubt done already.
Are you ok? Where did the dog come from?

getoffthecoffeetable · 16/04/2013 11:15

Brilliant news mumma

berrybomb · 16/04/2013 11:24

MissT - I think it;s worth calling to check, I know when someone from our office got bit by a dog the H&S team went a bit OTT and he got all sorts of checks. I'm sure it will be fine though.

Yay for Mumma - that's great news! Glad there were no triplets!!

MummaPanda · 16/04/2013 11:56

Yes I'm very glad there is only one!! So this baby is due exactly. One week before dd was due! And 11 days before she was actually born. Aparently I have a higher risk of delivering early this time though as there is so little gap between pregnancies, but on the plus side also on track for a quick and easy labour! Think baby log flume, whhoooooosssshhhhh! Grin

MissTweed · 16/04/2013 12:00

Getoff - I forgot about antibacterial stuff (was in shock I think) to the tesco lady gave me some (I was on my way out) it was a bloke walking his dog past my gate and it just bit me! My hand is the same level as a toddlers face!! So could have been a whole lot worse! I think I might give the MW a call just to be safe.

MissTweed · 16/04/2013 12:13

OMG I won't be calling the MW advice line again...... She was sooooo rude!!! Now trying the GP surgery Hmm

harverina · 16/04/2013 12:20

I am convinced I felt movement too - the other night at bedtime dd was lying in between my legs with her head resting on my tummy. Right where she was I felt a few little prods/flutters!! I guess it must be the sac moving? It made me jump as I am not even 12 weeks yet. Can't remember when I felt movement last time, think around 19/20 weeks maybe.

Good news on the scan mumma!

stuffthenonsense · 16/04/2013 12:24

Bloody he'll miss tweed, what did the owner say? Make sure the wound gets air, and is completely clean. I would really take it very easy fir the rest of the day as you've had quite a shock. Dogs and babies/toddlers in the same environment really freak me out as they are both so unpredictable. I had a nasty incident with DD4 when she was sitting (10months) minding her own business and a springer spaniel just appeared and jumped at her knocking her over backwards and leaving a scratch on her shoulder from its claws. 'Its only friendly' said the owner as he unapologetically walked away leaving her hysterical. I know kids and animals CAN get along but IMO dogs and children that don't know each other should be kept at a safe distance.

Fairydogmother · 16/04/2013 12:24

Call your GP as my dog bit me a few years ago and the infection went as far as my elbow!

i ended up in hospital several times. tho not saying that will happen to you!

there are only a few antibiotics that they can give you so the strong ones for animal bites are out - would be worth getting medical help now before anything starts

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 16/04/2013 12:55

Woo hoo for more positive scans.

misstweed poor you. Definately go to your GP, hope you don't get an infection.

So excited for those of you feeling movement. I thought I might have felt some last night but it was probably just wind Blush

MissTweed · 16/04/2013 13:08

Now sitting in a+e waiting for tetanus jab GP said that dog bite/cat scratch is different tetanus only kept at a+e Hmm
