Yes, same berry. I've gained and lost 4 pounds so no weight gain apparently, but I look huge. My jeans don't fit anymore, they're unbuttoned with the zip down Blush

Sorry to hear about those with concerns. Really hope it's good news for you both.

Fairydogmother · 19/04/2013 12:09

first thats fantastic!

berry i'm the same - techincally put on 1 pound but yet i look like a bloater and my jeans are a bit tight! must be all the puffing out rather than just putting on fat lol

i've a wee issue i'd like to run past people. a friend is due to have her baby soon and another friend has told me that theres a physical problem with the child. i didnt know and i assume that i wasnt meant to know i.e. its not common knowledge. i of course will not mention it anybody but i'm really annoyed that it was disclosed to me. what happens if i now tell this friend something in confidence and she blabs about it to someone else?!

Saundy · 19/04/2013 12:14

I think that's your warning to not tell her anything you wouldn't be happy to get out Fairy!

Ariel21 · 19/04/2013 12:15

Argh, will ! How horrible for you, you have my complete sympathies! Hopefully it was just a 'one off' and you will be fine. Thinking of you!

Fairydogmother · 19/04/2013 12:16

god hope shes not on mn to read this!

shes my bridesmaid next year...

williaminajetfighter · 19/04/2013 12:21

Fairy best to keep things under wraps. I think if there is anything wrong with baby whether cleft lip or something genetic I always feel its best to only share with family until baby is born.

Well done First! Lucky you for getting due date bumped up!! Now you're just barely on the November thread!!Grin

Theicingontop · 19/04/2013 12:24

How awful for your friend, Fairy, and what a complete betrayal of trust Sad

Did BlabberFriend say something like, "Look, don't tell anyone this, but..."? I agree you should be wary!

Ariel21 · 19/04/2013 12:29

Thank you everyone for your messages of support. DH says he won't believe it's over until we've had confirmation - so trying to go with him on this one! Going to wait until Monday and go back to be rescanned. Off work and trying to relax (ha!)

saundy I suppose it could be more like 6 weeks if I ovulated late and my cycles are not particularly short or regular (I only had one in between mirena and pregnancy so hard to tell!)

Time will tell I suppose.

Fairydogmother · 19/04/2013 12:32

no she just mentioned the problem in passing - as if i knew. when i said err what do you mean she told me but brushed it off as she was only telling ME. that means she expects me to keep it quiet when she couldnt!

i'm gutted for my other friend and i will mention absolutely nothing to anybody. just praying her baby is ok.

after my friend told me something a few years and asked me to keep it quiet i didnt even tell my then husband! in fact i'm still keeping the secret! i thought thats what it meant when you asked someone not to tell...

firsttimemummyy · 19/04/2013 12:36

Yup 2nd November now.. just sneaking in here!

I have a friend like that Fairy, she does have a lot of amazing qualities but keeping a secret is not one of them! It is difficult because I have to be slightly on my guard when I'm around her not to let anything slip that I really wouldn't want to get out, but I'm not sure about your friend, but this one of mine doesn't do it in a malicious way at all, she just can't keep her mouth shut! And because its never done with malicious intent, she is still one of my really good friends, despite this fault. I couldn't handle it if she was just a gossip in a nasty way though, but I think there is a difference sometimes. It is a shame that you won't be able to 100% trust her with any information though.

Fairydogmother · 19/04/2013 12:40

first i'm due 3 nov so we're both in the early club!

i'm really really annoyed about this. will she have revealed stuff about my wedding too? i think she trusts me 100% and knows i'd never pass on info but i dont like to be the one who people gossip to. i'd rather not know!

mini rant over lol

Animol · 19/04/2013 12:43

Fairy I've got a friend a bit like that too - I'm planning to use it to my advantage though and tell her first about new baby (after family of course) - I know the phone wires will be buzzing and in about an hour the whole world will know :)

All the best to everyone with worrying symptoms - hugs

Lovely to hear about the good news from scans - lets have more please

DittyRatt · 19/04/2013 13:11

Hi everyone. Haven't posted in a little while but have been lurking.

So sorry to hear about those with sad news.
But yay for all positive scans.

Am 11+3 today. And I have my 12 week scan next Wednesday. I can't wait it seems like forever away.

I have been to the doctors this morning to see if I am immune to slap cheek as my niece has it and SIL only thought to tell me when she picked her up from mine last night. So now waiting on the results.

Me and DH have just bought our very first house. A lovely 4 bedroom house just up the road from where we are now. All being well we should be able to move in in 6 weeks time.

Picked DS up from nursery this morning and he came out crying. He said av been crying to ages mummy cos I needed you n you wern't there, av got a headache, n ma legs hurt. He was holding his ear too. So think he may have an ear infection. So going to take him to the doctors tomorrow. He is now fast asleep after having some calpol ans has been since we got in at 12'o'clock. I am rather annoyed that his nursery didn't ring me to let me know.

heartonsleeve · 19/04/2013 13:15

Afternoon ladies!

I also had my scan this morning, and am happy to report all is present and correct! Yippee!

They pushed me forward a day on my EDD, which is now 31 October - but I'm staying here it's okay with all of you Smile.

Now really looking forward to letting all family and friends know - should be lovely Smile

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/04/2013 13:22

Lovely news heart

Hope DS is feeling better soon ditty and happy new house!

My due date is 2nd Nov but won't be allowed to go full term as I'm high risk so I should also technically be in October thread too but I like it too much here so am staying too!

Fairydogmother · 19/04/2013 13:23

ditty - i had to get tested too. it takes at least 2-3 weeks for the results so dont panic at the delay. exciting news about your new house!

heart - fab news

TiredFeet · 19/04/2013 13:23

wonderful to hear all was well at your scans firsttimemummy and heartonsleeve Smile

really sorry that you are having such worrying times williamina and ariel I will keep me fingers tightly crossed for you that all is well. I'm really angry to hear how you got treated at the hospital though williamina it doesn't inspire much confidence if they will just lie to keep you quiet, I would be tempted to write a letter of complaint I hthink

congratulations on the new house ditty, we really need to buy a bigger place but keep dithering about where to move to. must do it before the baby gets here if possible though or it will be chaos!

I am having a surprisingly good day today, kept all my medicine down and even survived toddler group with DS. may have looked a bit crazy walking back from the shops in the rain sucking an ice lolly though Blush well it got me through a bad moment so who cares! I am ungrateful wretch though and now worrying that something is wrong because I am feeling a little better. can't win!

artyone · 19/04/2013 13:59

Afternoon all.

I had an early scan this morning. Managed to find a local place which does them at £40 for an early scan so went for it, more for my peace of mind than anything else. All is present and correct. Can't believe it's really happening!
Heard the heartbeat and saw the little one. 10 weeks is about right. I feel a lot less anxious now.

Congrats to firsttime and heartonsleeve for the successful scans.

Just a couple of weeks now until my official 12 week scan, still no letter, but there is time. Re-taking my blood test on Monday.

Hope everyone with worries turns out to be okay. Thinking of ariel and williamina

suprisepitstop · 19/04/2013 14:06

hanging for my scan which is not till next sunday - 13+1. i want it now! feeling a bit queasy again today which is rubbish. have to give you my anti nausea snack tip - innocent smoothie little cartons , for kids. i put them into the freezer until a bit frozen like icecream texture and eat with spoon. delicious!!

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/04/2013 14:07

Brilliant news arty you must be thrilled!

tired am loving the image of you sucking your ice lolly in the rain. It's like something I'd do!

honey86 · 19/04/2013 14:10

good afti ladies... good news from here too...

had my scan, no more blood, and babys measuring 12 weeks today, which puts me at a day ahead. so the 1st nov. baby was kicking jumping and waving its limbs about- the sonographer had a hard time measuring cos baby just wouldnt keep still, had to force coughs to jiggle it back into position. Grin nuchal fold falls into the nice normal range. nice strong hb Smile

got my 20 week scan in june, seems like ages away.. and consultant appt plus got my mw appt next month x

I'm loving hearing all the happy scan news - well done ladies, you must all be over the moon. It's giving me more hope for Monday, I can not wait!!

Ditty - congrats on the house, it's so exciting buying your first place, I'm hoping one day we'll be able to afford a 4 bed as well!!
