Morning all. Another tired one here. Woke up in a rage this morning as DH once again ignored DS so I had to get up at 5.50. I was furious. I'm usually the one who gets up to him so I think it must be the hormones at work. DH got up at 7 and I went back to bed for an hour until he had to go to work. It wasn't a good sleep though so I'm still feeling a bit out if it. Hopefully I'll be able to shake it off soon as I'm with DS all day in quarantine with the chickenpox.

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/04/2013 08:29

Good luck with your scan firsttime

We see you icing how're you doing?

Theicingontop · 19/04/2013 09:07
Blush

Everything's well with me. I have my scan on Tuesday!! Hopefully I'll feel a bit less fat and more pregnant when I see a baby in there. How're you??

How many have had their scans already??

Ariel21 · 19/04/2013 09:08

Good luck today's scanners!

The scan I had this week dated me at 6 weeks. I thought I was 8. That's another reason I'm not hopeful.

I slept ok - more blood and clots this morning. Doc last night said it could go either way. Will see what happens (am off work) and go back to the hospital on Monday. Back feels awful and crampy.

My husband wants to stay positive - but it's not easy.

Darn!

harverina · 19/04/2013 09:16

Oh ariel hope your ok - on a positive it can be difficult to date pregnancies early on.

Jut arrived at work very late! Didn't sleep well last night then woke at 5am for no reason Shock

Good luck for anyone with scan today - looking forward to hearing good news Grin

Saundy · 19/04/2013 10:15

JB I'm so sorry to see your sad news and to see you go, I wish it could have worked out for you, sending hugs your way xx

Welcome EMC & Congrats Smile

Suffolk I'm sorry to see your dad isn't well, I hope you're coping ok.

MsFP HbloodyH?! The mind boggles, that's not from an A I hope!

Great news Diege you must be so relieved and don't worry Harv the closer to the 12 weeks you get the more the symptoms will ease - the 12 week war is nearly over, I can't wait for mine to lay off, I more week!!

Good luck for the scan First - enjoy it! & to any other scanners on there.

I hope you're ok Ariel could you have made a mistake and 6 weeks be possible? Take it easy and rest up, I know its hard to not think the worst but if could go either way it could be fine and hopefully will.

Am shattered. Really struggling to get comfortable on a night, I'm barely showing but my belly and boobs feel so uncomfortable already, it doesn't help that my preferred sleeping position is usually my back but that seems to just make me feel sick.

DP has a family do tomorrow and I'm fully expecting his entire family to be told - even though we haven't had the 12 week scan yet - or appointment through!!!!

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/04/2013 10:24

icing that's exciting about your scan being on Tuesday, I bet you can't wait can you? Mine's the Monday afterwards.

ariel thinking of you.

saundy are you happy for your DH to share your lovely news?

My boobs feel like they're growing by the second! Also, have a very prominent baby belly. It's so obvious I'm pregnant not that anyone can see it as I'm imprisoned in the house with DS with chickenpox

Saundy · 19/04/2013 10:33

Get absolutely not, but his mum had already told us that "these things get out", his sister has already started telling her friends (as I've had randoms congratulating me) and DP is gagging to tell everyone so the combination of everyone being able to blame the other means I don't stand a chance (as I wont be there).

I hope DS isn't in too much discomfort and you're not having too much of a nightmare being stuck in.

williaminajetfighter · 19/04/2013 10:35

Hi all, had a terrible night. Headed to the bathroom at 3am for my usual pee and red blood was dripping out of me onto the bathroom floor like some kind of horror movie.

Decided to go to A&e - more blood and clots. They took my bloods, made me wait for 4 hours then said my bloods were fine and to go home as they couldn't do anymore. When I asked 22 year old doctor what 'fine' meant she said that she actually couldn't find the results in the system. Pushed out the door a bit. No scan and no opp to talk to gynae as promised; told to come back if it gets worse. Hey ho.

So I feel for you Ariel as seems we're in a similar, shitty boat!

harverina · 19/04/2013 10:37

Oh williamina what an awful night you've had. How is the bleeding now? Are you managing to catch up on some sleep today? Hope your ok Thanks

harverina · 19/04/2013 10:38

And what a rubbish experience with a&e that makes mad.

Saundy · 19/04/2013 10:38

Oh Will I'm so sorry to see that, you must be so worried, can't you phone your midwife? xx

williaminajetfighter · 19/04/2013 10:38

Harv. I'm bleeding brown blood but not much. Not certain if this was 'just a thing' or if its the calm before the storm.

How anyone gets to 12 weeks is beyond me!!!!

williaminajetfighter · 19/04/2013 10:39

Called midwife so expecting call back. Can't get too cross at NHS as they are over stretched. Just prefer that doctors don't lie to get me out the door!Shock

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/04/2013 10:45

It's lovely that your DP is so excited to tell everyone. By the sounds of things he wants to get in there quickly before his sister tells absolutely everyone!

DS is fine thanks. Taking it all in his stride. He hasn't noticed his spots yet thankfully.

harverina · 19/04/2013 10:47

Absolutely agree will. Hope you get a better response from midwife - how many weeks are you now? I suppose they will either scan you or just tell you to wait and see. Annoying that it depends where you live what answer you get. The epu here barely asked me what was wrong when I called and they went and got the diary to book me in.

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/04/2013 10:48

williamina have just read your post. Sorry to hear that you're bleeding. Has the midwife phoned you back yet?
The NHS might be over stretched but that's no excuse for shoddy treatment, especially when you're so vulnerable

stuffthenonsense · 19/04/2013 11:26

12 weeks! Phew. Really hoping everybody else gets there, especially those with worries right now.
Hope all today's scans are doing ok, looking forward to good news.
Williamina, stretched or not, you are a patient there with as much need for care as someone with a broken leg, you should have been treated better, once you are up to it get your OH to write a letter of complaint about your (lack of) treatment. Things won't change unless errors are highlighted.
Hope everyone is planning a very relaxing weekend.

MummaPanda · 19/04/2013 11:27

Thinking of you guys in limbo at the mo, must be so horrible not to know what's going on.

On the plus side I finally got round to weighing myself yesterday and since I've been pregnant I've lost over half a stone. That's one positive of morning sickness I suppose!

Any scans today? Only good news please!!!

williaminajetfighter · 19/04/2013 11:35

Well done mumma - small mercies for morning sickness. I feel enormous but have lost 3lbs.... bizarre!

Thx for everyone's thoughts. Will have to see how it goes. I'm 11+2 or is it 1 today? I just wanna make it to 12 if I can!! x

firsttimemummyy · 19/04/2013 11:41

Hi All!

Thank you for the good luck wishes - they worked!! Healthy happy baby bouncing around, heard the heartbeat too. Such a relief! And the doctor said he 'thinks' it's a girl but can't be sure. Also dated me 3 days ahead of what I thought (although this can't be possible cause I was charting and had ovulation stick things so I know exactly when I ovulated - I guess babies must just grow at slightly different rates) So am now 11+6 (even tho I should really be 11+3!)
Now the nervous energy has gone the night lying awake has caught up with me and I am knackered!! Nearly nodding off at my desk. Still, am very happy :) And can finally tell people why I have mostly dropped off the radar for the last 3 months!

On the other hand I'm really sorry to hear of the bleeding Williamina, have fingers crossed for you that all is ok.

berrybomb · 19/04/2013 11:52

Williamina and Ariel - thinking of you both, and wishing you the best of luck.

I too feel and look huge, I can't get into most of my clothes, but the scales say I'm still exactly the same weight! odd.

yay firsttime - it's lovely to have some good news

getoffthecoffeetable · 19/04/2013 12:00

Brilliant news firsttime!!!
