getoffthecoffeetable · 16/04/2013 13:14

Oh bless you misst better to be safe though.
Sending you a virtual hug

MissTweed · 16/04/2013 13:22

FFS ...... The receptionist told me a porky!!! The vaccine is not different and I am already covered !!

MissTweed · 16/04/2013 13:24

But at the end of the day, all is well. I'm giving myself 5 mins to finish huffing in annoyance before I move on with my day. My DH on the other hand is ready to throttle someone Shock

TiredFeet · 16/04/2013 13:29

oh misstweed how horrible for you!! and can't believe that on top of that you've been sent to a&e unnecessarily! hope you aren't hurting to much? what did the dog owner do / say?

congrats mummapanda on the scan, I was rooting for you to have triplets though Wink

got a massive strawberry and banana smoothie from a local café and it has stayed down, hopefully doing me a world of good. not feeling up to work though but hopefully tomorrow

Fairydogmother · 16/04/2013 13:30

i'm not surprised! stupid people.

just watch your wound really carefully - if it starts to ache and swell leg it to A&E. mine went bad literally within hours

OneLittleToddleTerror · 16/04/2013 13:54

The scan today didn't go well. We got an empty sac. The sonographer booked me in for another scan next Friday at the EPAU to check on progress in case my dates are wrong. But I know there is no way it is not at least 10 weeks. So I'm off the bus again. This will be my second mc in but my first mmc. I asked how do we proceed from here (as in to remove a sac), but the sonographer only said they will be able to tell me at the EPU.

Good luck to the rest of you with upcoming scans. Hopefully I will be able to hop back onto another antenatal bus soon.

suprisepitstop · 16/04/2013 14:05

Ariel21 · 16/04/2013 14:53

Am at work so can't read all the updates but just wanted to say that I went to the Early Pregnancy Clinic this morning, didn't have to wait long, they did a pee test and phew it was still positive - what with me having hardly any symptoms I was a bit concerned - and sent me in for an internal ultrasound or 'probe' as I like to call it.

And there it was, one (extremely small) baby (or speck of dust) with heartbeat! Magic! They measured it 3.6mm - or more importantly, 5-6 weeks, not the 8 that I'd worked out! Which may push me into December, but hey - will stay here for a bit since you ladies are all so lovely. Thank you for all your kind words of support - I was bricking it slightly.

So not sure why I'm only 5-6 weeks, but the nurse said it was just an estimate and they never really know. She thinks since I'm so early, the blood is probably from implantation. V reassured, as is husband - and it kinds feels real now, if you know what I mean. It's a long time until 12 weeks though!!

Hope everyone is OK, any other scanners today? Will try and catch up later.

Just scrolled up and saw your post onelittletoddleterror

I'm so sorry for you and your family. Sending all best wishes and the best of luck for the future. Flowers

littlemonkey2013 · 16/04/2013 14:59

onelittle - sorry to hear your news, fingers crossed for good news in the future Flowers

lovelylara · 16/04/2013 15:02

I was supposed to be due in early November (just over 10 weeks pregnant) but found out today at a scan that my baby stopped growning and died at around 7 weeks :( I understand this is called a 'missed miscarriage' as I have had no bleeding :(

I had a scan at 7 weeks that showed a heartbeat so it must have died shortly after that.

Feel numb and can't stop crying. Have hospital appointment tomorrow morning to discuss next steps.

lovelylara · 16/04/2013 15:04

Onelittle - just saw your post and wanted to say how sorry I am to hear your news xx

harverina · 16/04/2013 15:06

Onelittle I am so so sorry to hear your sad news, that is just awful news. You will be missed here. Best wishes for the future Thanks

harverina · 16/04/2013 15:09

Lovely sorry to hear your sad news too Hmm

retroelle · 16/04/2013 15:15

Oh onelittle and lovely what sad news for you both :(

Fundal height mentioned earlier - I was googling, and it's supposed to be 1cm (or 1 finger-width) per week. So 12cm for 12 weeks etc.

Fairydogmother · 16/04/2013 15:29

lovely I'm so so sorry - awful news Flowers

No more sad news for people who don't deserve it

OneLittleToddleTerror · 16/04/2013 15:36

lovely sorry to hear your bad news too. DH is going away next week for work and that's why I get my next scan next Friday. I know it would be bad news so I don't think I can go alone. I don't know if it is normal but I would prefer to it to be felt with as soon as possible. I don't think I can get over the grief properly when my body still thinks otherwise. This mmc is a much more cruel joke than my last mc (it was 6 weeks only).

Other than crying. I went on the topshop website and bought myself some leggings and tunics. I couldn't fit into my normal jeans and I just don't think I could cope wearing maternity trousers for any longer.

Sorry for the rant Sad

Fairydogmother · 16/04/2013 15:54

one say whatever you need to - we will all listen and support you. Totally understand your need to have closure.

I'm sorry I'm just rubbish with knowing what to say other than huge hugs x

TiredFeet · 16/04/2013 16:05

lovely I am so so sorry to hear that Flowers take care of yourself

onelittle (and anyone else of course) no need to apologise for ranting, feel free to post and rant away if it helps (or to hide if you prefer) it is so hard to know what to say, but I massively sympathise with you re not fitting in your normal clothes, that must truly feel like a cruel joke right now, and I get why you don't want delays right now. I really feel for you with your DH going away next week as well, not an easy time.

BoyMeetsWorld · 16/04/2013 16:28

Oh no!!! What awful news! Finally been able to sign in here (the app had a bug) & just read about lovely & onelittle :( :(

Will def miss you onelittle - very best for future trying.

Lovely - that's an absolute nightmare you poor poor thing.

My scan is tomorrow morning & now I'm petrified I'm going to get bad news too even after seeing the heartbeat last week. I've still had cramps constantly although no more bleeding. So scared!!!

Come on people - we need some more happy scans & good luck!!!

On a minor plus, DS got into our top choice school today. Has anyone else had school places today?

Hugs to all x
