Ah a lovely baby girl. Love willow! Yay!

Soupqueen · 20/04/2013 20:08

Congrats, falcon, willow is a beautiful name.

natalie, I think Scarlett is a lovely name, not sure about the e on the end though.

pink, well done on surviving Ofsted!

Claphammama · 20/04/2013 20:56

congrats falcon! So exciting! one of each is lovely.

cherrycherry41 · 20/04/2013 21:14

natalie Scarlette is my favourite name ever ever! That exact spelling too! My sister named her DD Scarlet 8 years ago and not forgave her for it since- especially with the rubbish spelling!
We settled on Savannah for our DD, like Sienna also but Sienna Millers sister is Savannag so thatd be odd!
Please name your next girl Scarlette please? Grin

Congrats falcon! Willow is a fab name also Smile

roxvox · 20/04/2013 21:15

Congrats falcon! One of each is exactly what I would like, so I don't mind what sex our first is. I bet you'll have a big grin on your face all evening.

Natalieand I think Scarlett is a lovely name. We couldn't use it as we know others with the name, but I really like it.

I hope everyone else is feeling good today. Has anyone else been getting semi-severe rib cage pain? I think it's just things moving about but it can get very very painful at times, then nothing for hours at a time and sometimes just niggling pain.

Natalieand · 20/04/2013 21:18

Lol cherry that made me chuckle no how u feel tho about ppl stealing names but happy to share names on here cos we don't no each other in RL so doesn't matter if we end up with the same names. Dh also likes the name Scarlette so it is deffo up there in our top names, do u think it goes with honey (dd's name) I'm desperately hoping this baby is a girl which I know sounds very selfish and shallow we already have a girl and this is our last baby and both of us also would prefer a girl. Mainly cos I can't imagen myself with a boy and I think a girl would make a companion for dd plus everything we own baby related is pink lol

Does n e one else have a gender preference?

Haylebop12 · 20/04/2013 21:31

natalie I love Scarlett too (not sure about the extra e) but its my sisters favorite so I can't even have it as an option. She would kill me!

Haylebop12 · 20/04/2013 21:35

Also I think Scarlett goes with your dd's name (which is honey iirc?) I would also like a girl (can't picture us with a boy tbh) but would love a boy too. Just think it would take longer to get used to it as I only now girls... If that makes sense?

Dh claims to have not even noticed the list of names of the fridge! Trying to get him round to Harriet. Think it is just the perfect name for to arch Amelia.

Natalieand · 20/04/2013 21:43

I agree Amelia and harriet do go quite nicely together! Maybe its because they are similar length to each other? Tbh I'm not sure how I would spell it the baby name app says scarlet Scarlett or Scarlette.

I'm similar to u in a sense hayle I just cannot imagen myself with a boy but saying that when I was pregnant with dd I also was desperate for a girl. I have forever to wait my 20 week scan isn't until may 24th :-( me and dh were debating finding out the gender but keeping it a secret from everyone else do u reckon its do-able or will I just end up slipping up? Lol xxxx

Haylebop12 · 20/04/2013 21:51

Oh yo

Haylebop12 · 20/04/2013 21:56

Oh you'll definitely slip up!

I'm considering having my gender scan in a couple weeks as mil is visiting from oop north. Think she would appreciate being able to come and see baby as we only see that side of the family once every two months. My mum is very involved so reckon she would love feeling as involved.

When I was pg with dd I was convinced she was a boy so when I heard girl it took me a while to get used to it... This one in expecting it to be a girl.

Also love Lydia and Maisie. I like Hannah but worried its a bit "bland"?
Our surname isn't easy as a lot clashes.

Natalieand · 20/04/2013 22:02

Our surname is a boys name lol so if we have a boy it's gunna be so much harder! I like Lydia an Maisie but I think of Hannah as ppl aged like 15-25 lol mainly cos I knew quite a few Hannah's when I was at school and I'm 22 so I dunno if that's why?
The scan idea sounds lovely hayle nice to have ppl interested and excited about your pregnancy isn't it :-)
I would be having a gender scan but as dh wages r commission based an he's had 2.5 weeks off due to his appendix being removed we are gonna be so skint for the next 6-8 week so just have to tighten our belts or loosen it in my case lol

Btw I never said thank u to those who found some nice maternity websites for larger ladies I managed to get 3 pairs of maternity 3/4 lengths off of simply be so they should see me through the summer xxx

Haylebop12 · 20/04/2013 22:08

My surname is a ladies name, generally between 60-80 years old.

Natalieand · 20/04/2013 22:14

Bethal? don't have to answer that lol

pinkmoonlight · 20/04/2013 22:14

Congrats falcon! xxx

Haylebop12 · 20/04/2013 22:17

Haha right era...!

MotherOfNations · 20/04/2013 23:26

Haylebop If you like Hannah what about Shannah? Its my eldest dd's name. I won't be offended if you don't like it.

ananikifo · 20/04/2013 23:57

Congrats, falcon! Willow is a lovely name! It feels like some people are o much further along than others even though we're due the same month. W just had our dating scan last week.

We enjoyed the nct nearly new sale and plan to go again but come earlier (to queue before they open) because it gets so crowded! I got a mobile that my brother said my nephew adored as a little baby. I paid £5 and it was worth £28 with the extra bits that were included. I also got one maternity top. The baby clothes weren't very exciting and cost more than on ebay but it looked like it would be worth getting toys and books there too.

I picked up my ebay baby grows from the post office today and washed them all. Then I hung them to dry and DH and I admired all the tiny little colourful things! So exciting!

chickieno1 · 21/04/2013 02:19

Congratulations Falcon! Willow is a lovely name :)

cuillereasoupe · 21/04/2013 07:12

I like Willow and Scarlett too!

DP is the worrier here. I'm pretty laid-back, since I figure that whatever happens, happens, whether I'm worrying about it or not. I'm beginning to enjoy this pregnancy lark actually - I really feel like a gently ripening peach at the moment, especially with the lovely spring sunshine!

Natalieand · 21/04/2013 07:20

cuille I wish I could be like that deep Down I no whatever happens happens but Im just such a worrier even tho u are exactly right in what u are saying! Was it u who also started out early on with twins? Cos I did too and I just wondered if u still think about it now or does it effect u at all? Emotionally I mean?

Is any ones dp/dh/relative running in the London marathon today? Good luck to them if they are :-)
I was debating doing the race for life next year with dd she will only be 3.5 but dh says u can walk it and take buggies and I think it will be a nice experience for her? Or do u think she is too young?

Sun is shining again here today so probly gunna go to a bootsale
I do love a good bargain, what's everyone else up to? Xxx

roofio87 · 21/04/2013 07:43

no not too young at all Natalie I do it every year and think its so important. its one of my favourite days of the year, the atmosphere is amazing and all sorts of people take part, plenty with buggies!! I'm going to be walking it this year at 6 months pg and plan on doing next years with buggy with girl or boy as boys can join in up to age 10!! we lost dps teenage cousin to cancer yesterday and I just think the race for life is an amazing way of raising money for something so important!! Smile

JellyCurls · 21/04/2013 08:32

Congrats on scan falcon live the name too. 3.5 weeks till our 20wk scan so got till then to decide on whether to find out sex or not.

Roofio sorry to hear about your dps cousin.

I have woke this morning with a really heavy cold, achy bones and a really sore throat thanks dc2 for sharing your germs. Paracetamol and hot drinks for me today along with hunting for a knitting pattern. Really want to knit baby a onesie, saw a pattern in a book but book cost £15 and seems a bit much for one pattern.

cuillereasoupe · 21/04/2013 08:48

Yes it was Natalie, I do feel a bit sad about it sometimes but we're just soooo grateful to still have one in there. We had fertility treatment and were really so lucky that it worked first time - the doc was amazed given my initial chances which were very low, so we feel pretty blessed with what we have.

Natalieand · 21/04/2013 08:55

I'm kinda glad u said that cuille our second baby disappeared about 6 weeks pregnant and I often feel sad and in a way kinda wish I never knew about it in the first place, hope that doesn't sound selfish cos I often catch myself wondering about why it didn't work out but then at the same time am also so great full as dh has very low sperm count so we are great full to have conceived twice naturally. Nature is so cruel sometimes isn't it.

On the up side here's to happy successful pregnancies for us all xx :-) x
