Oh and hi hi hi merkin SmileSmile
Think hazle due first. I'm not third trimester (nuts) and getting more porky by the day. Looking forward to more of you joining us. Hope you're all ok x

janey1234 · 10/04/2013 22:52

Argh not = now Confused

Cavort · 10/04/2013 23:00

Hi Merkin, how's it going? I think there's misery aplenty to varying degrees pregnancy has zero in the way of endearing features but we're all waddling plodding along.

I believe Hazle will have the agony honour of delivering the first Elderberry baby by EDD, but there are a few of us who are reasonably close together so it could be anybody's. I think Purple is probably worth a punt after today.

It makes a change for you to be stalking visiting us, it's usually me stalking visiting you.

HazleNutt · 11/04/2013 06:48

yes according to due dates that would be me, but by just a few days and they consider anything between 37-42 as being on time, so we will see.

Cavort · 11/04/2013 08:05

For those of you who are considering practicing putting baby clothes on pets, see if you can beat this for cute!

Today is my birthday. I am 35
I just don't see how this has happened. I was only 17, like, 2 minutes ago. I am half way to 70 FFS! Shock

Alexandra6 · 11/04/2013 08:10

Grin I love that pic so much cavort! Happy birthday!

I am struggling with nausea today, going to tell my boss I'm pg as think it's probably more useful for her to know early.

littlemiss don't you live in Hull? See what Janey was talking about and avoid that man like the plague haha!

Alexandra6 · 11/04/2013 08:12

Oh and I had a dream about my first scan next week - I got there and had totally forgotten to drink water so they couldn't see a thing and made me down loads of it, and then I woke up just before they did the scan again! So nervous and excited about it.

Cavort · 11/04/2013 08:19

I told my boss at about 7 weeks as soon as the sickness kicked in so he could cut me some slack at work.

Be careful with your pre-scan water consumption. My appointment was late and my bladder was so agonisingly burstingly full I thought I might actually cry. And when I got in there she said I might have to 'empty a bit out' (how on earth would you do that??) because it was too full for her to see anything Angry

HazleNutt · 11/04/2013 08:24

Happy Birthday Cavort! FlowersFlowers
So you're one of those especially eeeeevil women who left having babies til they're over 35. Tsk, tsk. Grin
Any fun plans? Have to say that neither DH or I care about our birthdays, but we always use them as an excuse to go to some fancy overpriced restaurant.

As for scans, they never told me anything about water consumption or not too much water consumption here. Alex, you're how far along next week? If it's early, they are likely to use the dildo-cam and I don't think drinking makes a difference there.

Cavort · 11/04/2013 08:33

Yup, I am the very definition of Elderly Primigravida. What an evil selfish hag I am waiting until my circumstances were right and could actually afford a baby rather than relying on the welfare state to prop me up.

No fun plans for today really - I am getting a Whooping Cough jab at 09.10 Sad, then off to work, then meeting friends for non-alcoholic drinks later. DH is still in Scotland and won't be back until later but he is taking me to the Costa del Sol tomorrow until Monday so I am looking forward to a few days relaxing in the sun with him. We've both been so busy with work lately I feel like I have hardly seen him.

Littlemissworrier · 11/04/2013 09:17

Happy birthday Cavot!!! Ooooh and some warmer weather - perfect!!

Yes I'm in Hull - oooh fill me in Grin x

janey1234 · 11/04/2013 09:22

Littlemiss - there's a thread in style and beauty about Yoni massage. It's hilarious. I was keeping DP awake last night reading all the replies...

cavort - happy happy birthday Thanks Thanks . You're still a spring chicken compared to me though Envy

alex - i too was kept waiting ages, and ages, having downed 750ml on the way to the scan. It was sooooo painful! And like cavort she had to re-do some scanning as my bladder was too full the first time. So I'd say just drink some water (like 250ml!) on the way and you should be full. They say to have a full bladder, but not full to bursting! And re: dildocam - I was 8 weeks too and thankfully didn't need it, fingers crossed you don't either...

BraveLilBear · 11/04/2013 11:04

Morning all.

Happy birthday Cavort! April is the best month for birthdays Wink OH had his yesterday (yes, we went for nice meal any excuse ) and mine is coming up soon too.

What is all this Hull talk? I may have a vested interest...?!

And Purple so sorry to hear that, you poor thing, you've really been through the wars Flowers

I saw an old episode of OBEM a while back when a mum with kidney failure developed OC as well. It looked torture. She ended up admitted in hospital on extremely strong drugs that are usually not used in pregnancy and the focus was on getting her to hold on as long as possible. The good news is that they got her to 32 weeks or so before inducing her and both she and baby turned out fine. That was a really extreme case, but thought I'd share to show that there is always hope - and by diagnosing it early, they're in the best position to support you and monitor things. But totally agree how scary it must be - not to mention irritating.

Mightbe worth cutting all your nails short as an interim measure so if you do scratch, you don't open yourself up to skin infections etc.

Keep us posted. How far are you now?

Brave I think you need to read the Yoni thread to see the significance of Hull Grin

29+1 fatty photo uploaded. My Fundal Height has grown 4cm in 3.5 weeks so it's heading in the right direction at least!

BraveLilBear · 11/04/2013 11:19

Cavort you are so not a fatty. Still very Envy at your amazing figure! Will try and take a headless shot tonight so you can compare with me... I'd say we were similar and I'm just 25+2. I took a pic 4 weeks ago but my bedroom was really messy so not posting that - I had a random shiny bump too!

OP posts:
Cavort · 11/04/2013 11:23

Ooo, yes I would like some other bump photos to compare and contrast Smile It occurred to me as I was taking this one that these might be the last photos of my belly free of stretch marks Sad

janey1234 · 11/04/2013 11:37

I will try and take a bump pic in the next few days. I am HUGE though!! Soooo jealous of your teeny tiny bumpette.

brave I wouldn't boast too loudly about your Hull connections Wink

Purplemonster · 11/04/2013 11:38

Morning all and Happy Birthday Cavort you old wrinkly you! Wink I hope you have a fabulous weekend away.
I slept! Yay! Still itchy today but at a much more manageable normal level (although it does seem to be getting worse as the day goes on), I have no idea what this means but I am so grateful that I got some sleep last night.

janey1234 · 11/04/2013 11:40

Oh fingers crossed purple that it was some kind of weird, pregnancy, non-OC itching. When do you get the results?

HazleNutt · 11/04/2013 11:42

Sorry Cavort you'll have to stop that now. I think I looked like this 3 months ago! Envy

BraveLilBear · 11/04/2013 11:58

I'm not boasting about anything Janey - has the thread been removed or is it called something random? Can't find it in style and beauty (not that I'm looking or anything...)

Good news on the sleepfront Purple Smile

OP posts:
janey1234 · 11/04/2013 12:03

brave - just looked and it has, rightly, been moved to mumsnet classics. Phew, at one point I thought it might be deleted! I wouldn't click on any of the links when you're at work though, argh, not that I have or anything Blush.

Do you live in Hull btw, or did you? I nearly went to uni there, swayed by the awesome SU bar (or at least it was back in 1993!). Love the north east.

janey1234 · 11/04/2013 12:09

Haha MNHQ said, when they moved the thread

"We've yoni gone and moved this thread to classics"

Purplemonster · 11/04/2013 12:22

Got to wait up to 10 days for the bile results but some of the other results should be in today or tomorrow, they're supposed to be phoning me. Don't ask me what they're all for but she took about 5 vials of blood and said 'My! you do bleed easily don't you!' I've got some vague hope in the back of my mind that this is all related to the nasty sickness virus and isn't Cholewotsit at all and it will all magically disappear in a day or two anyway .

Apparently quite often it doesn't show up on the first test even if you've got it though as it can take a couple of weeks of itching for the levels to build up enough to show up in your blood. Only time will tell.

I did have a little snigger at the Yoni thread myself last night Grin don't read it at work Bear!

Envy at Cavorts lovely little bump, I look MUCH bigger than that even though my bump is still measuring fairly small, how does that work? Must be a proportion thing.

BraveLilBear · 11/04/2013 13:09

Think you're right Purple must be proportional... I am short with short legs but a long waist, so think my bump has lots of room to be very round. The phrase beach ball was used yesterday lol!

Having said that, the beach ball effect appears to be wearing off as top of bump is now encroaching on ribs and boob space, which is very weird. Especially when BB goes into a 'kick Brave in the ribs' frenzy - worse time yet was when a bit of skin got caught between kick, rib, and bra Shock

Found thread. Decided I'm moving out of Hull as it's probably safer that way.

Fx for your results Purple...
