Hey hey, had a bit of catching up to do, been away for a few days. alwaystheauntie matching your control freak episodes, I booked my NCT sessions at 5 weeks. Probably no need for that, but after reading that they give a refund if there is a MC i went for it.

Also related to my control freak status (and after my last MC) I had a private scan yesterday. It actually felt real and not just a blue line (or should I say 7 individual blue lines)! It was lovely though but freaking me out slightly now. No need for that other than to reassure me. Due 23/11/13 with a wee heartbeat.

And I have finally started being sick, had to run out of a lovely dinner at a friends house on Sat night to be sick in her toilet, she was lovely and said nothing but offered me a fabulous ice lolly from her fridge. Also ran out of our house wretching and crying as DH had started to cook a massive hunk of venison. Neighbours will be wondering. I sat and ate a pizza in my car whilst DH threw away the half cooked meat and febreezed the whole house!

I can't stop telling people. I figured that after my last MC I told most of my friends anyway, so for me personally, it doesn't make any difference I will tell them everything anyway! Although i know it is very personal and is for everyone to decide themselves.

Welcome madame its good to hear and share everyone's different experiences.

Getoff my scan is 23rd, same day as I see consultant too, so similar to you. My friend got her scan at 13+5 and had the nuchal test too so try not to worry too much.

Boymeets so sorry to hear that you are bleeding, hope you are ok. Have you been seen by anyone yet at the epu? If so you could contact them and ask to be seen? Thinking of you and hope you have someone looking after your tonight Thanks

Welcome Madame! Don't worry about moaning, you will fit in well with us just now! On a few weeks we will all me smiley and happy as we cross into the 2nd trimester!! I share some of your complaints! What is it with feeling exhausted but unable to sleep?! Funny thing is I could probably sleep during the day quite easily. But at night I have been waking loads. I'm also constantly FREEZING! I went to bed in my dressing gown the other night. Poor dh was boiling next to me!

Spanish hope your ok. Agree with jbrd that a midwife would surely know the difference between someone of 10 weeks and 20 weeks? Not sure how helpful it was of her to use the doppler given that there was a high chance that nothing would be heard based on your description of your experience/dates etc. Good that you have a scan next week so that you will get some answers and reassurance that all is well.

I am staying with my in laws tonight with dd and have been in bed reading since 9.30!! It's brilliant not having to think of all the washing/dishes/housework and just relax.

Oh smells are making me boak too...I have a smelly chorizo in my fridge and every time I open the door I boak. Its going to have to go, but I can't bear to touch it. Dh will have to get rid of it when he comes home at the weekend...slightly scared that if I mention it he will suggest cooking it Confused.

Today Ribena was my good friend. I drank 4 cartons. I also found a friend in orangina. I would never usually drink either due to the sugar but they are so refreshing. Someone mentioned an ice lolly and now I am craving one badly - plan on popping into asda on my way to work tomorrow for some nice plain orange ice lollies. I seem to be craving a mix of strong flavoured crisps and chocolate. Is anyone else majorly indecisive? I can stand for ages in a shop looking at food before deciding. I feel like a child! The decision is just so important though and a lot rests on it!

Hope your are all ok and getting some lovely sleep Grin

JBrd · 10/04/2013 23:42

boy so so sorry to hear your news, take good care of yourself x

firsttimemummyy · 11/04/2013 00:24

boy I'm so sorry to hear your news, hope you are ok Flowers

getoffthecoffeetable · 11/04/2013 01:08

Thanks harv Am experiencing the opposite to you and am roasting at night, just can't seem to cool down. I'm ridiculously thirsty too, I'm going to have to get up and get another drink as I've drunk all my bedside one! Still very much enjoying my Dandelion & Burdock, so retro!
Have you got any of those self seal bags you could double bag the chorizo maybe rather than have to bin it? Or I think you can freeze them too?

Saundy · 11/04/2013 05:45

Nooo have been awake for an hour & have to be up at 7 but can't sleep. Am about ready to give up but you know it'll get to 6.45 & I'll be out like a light.

Am the same with food Harv there are so many new considerations now, how will it smell, will I want it, will I get it down, will it stay down & if not how bad will if be on the return (still scarred by the ice cream!).

Today should be an easy day at least, I have the office to myself pretty much so can just get on with things.

I hope there has been some improvement Boy if possible & you are being well looked after.

MissTweed · 11/04/2013 06:38

I woke up this morning and wanted to do cartwheels as I have finally reached the 12 weeks...... Then I came on here and realised that another of us is out Sad I'm truly sorry to hear your news boy meetsworld. It has made me realise how truly blessed each and everyone of us are that manage to get to the end with a healthy bundle. Good luck with future plans and hope to see you back on here with good news soon x Thanks

MissTweed · 11/04/2013 06:44

Who wants some early morning maths to get their grey matter working (mine doesn't star working till I've had a Brew but that's gone out of the window!!). I'm 12w (woohoo) and my scan is on Monday 12+4. For the dating scan I've heard that quite often people come out being told that they are either less or more further along than they thought due to us dating from the first day of our last period but the length of your cycle has to be factored in as you ovulate 15 days from the end etc. I normally have 32/33 day cycles (as a posed to the normal 28) so am I more likely to be told I'm less or more further along?? (Really hoping I'm more further along as I can't wait to find out the sex) TIA

theboob · 11/04/2013 06:59

so sorry you're bleeding boy , take care of yourself x

Finally find out my dates today , scan booked for 3.40 and my shift finishes at 3.30 .Luckily I'm only in the next building so will make it on time

TiredFeet · 11/04/2013 07:40

misstweed it depends when you ovulate during your cycle, but you will probably be slightly less far along (my cycle was 35 days last time I got pregnant, so I remember having to convince midwife etc that due date they calculated was a week out - dating scan proved me right!)

Think I am going to try and brave work today, at least for a bit. Only problem is its a massive open plan office so if I start feeling sick there is nowhere to hide, and a 200m run to the toilets!

getoffthecoffeetable · 11/04/2013 07:59

Good luck with your scan today theboob very exciting!
Congratulations on your milestone misstweed
I'm feeling very blessed today. It's my birthday and DH has arranged for the two of us to go away for a weekend in a romantic hotel and for his parents to look after DS (who loves Nanny and gets spoilt rotten there). His parents gave me some money to have a spa treatment too.
My parents are coming to stay for the weekend tomorrow and my mum is going to buy me a pair of shoes for my birthday, can't wait!
Now just need to keep all food down as am at work today and only boss and a close friend know about my being up duffed
