sorry to all those with spotting. i'm staying with my parents for a few days. nice becuase the dcs have plenty of people to occupy them & i'm having a cheeky lie down. my parents tend to have lunch about 2pm which is just too late for us. actually felt like i was going to pass out i was so hungry.

it's weird,.until this week i was convinced something would go wrong, something about passing the 8 week mark has made me relax.

honey86 · 10/04/2013 16:52

hiya ladies Smile
hugs to those who need reassurance.. Thanks

had a busy day packing away my kitchen as its getting smashed up friday Confused getting a new one next week and the design is nice. its purely cos i have aspergers and im not liking the thought of havin no kitchen n everything out of place... not a fan of change Confused but tbh i need it doing, just will take some getting used to.

i felt a few light flutters at my bikini line last night, ever so gentle, but no gas cos i get gas much higher up than that.. not 100% if that was baby but im only 10+4 atm, i felt dd's movements at 14 weeks x

Hello can I join. Am nearly 8 weeks and due 22.11.13 although will have cs a week early.

Feel shit, absolutely totally utterly shit. Feel hungry but sick, tired but can't sleep, have horrendous heart burn and constipation! And to top that have a review at the gym in a mo which I really don't want to go to!

Also waiting for results of blood test to see if I ha e immunity to slap cheek and if not will have to have monthly scans!!!

Aaarrrrgggghhhh!!!

I will understand if you don't want such a moaning Minnie to join. Think I may bring the tone down!!

honey86 · 10/04/2013 17:21

Hello madame. Moaning Minnie Grin you'll fit in well on this thread, I don't think I've stopped bitching and whining since I joined it.

I can relate to all your symptoms (except) heartburn you have my sympathy. The insomnia is the worse, I crawl into bed at 9pm shattered and just stare at the ceiling for hours.

Fairydogmother · 10/04/2013 18:07

Hi madame! You and I can be slapped cheek blood test buddies as I'm waiting for results too! They were taken about 2 weeks ago and still not back Sad. I didn't have long enough exposure to the family who had it to really get it but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Just been for a cuddle with my friends 3 week old tho and that's cheered me up immensely.

Fairydogmother · 10/04/2013 18:08

O and TMI ALERT!

I have gone to the loo!

Ariel21 · 10/04/2013 18:40

TMI as well fairydogmother - usually I struggle with constipation but since being pregnant I've had a poo EVERY MORNING! It's my favourite aspect so far.

Saundy · 10/04/2013 19:03

Oooh a new person welcome Madame & congrats!

It sounds as though there's a few rotten days all round. I had a workshop today so had to make a supreme effort to not be a moody cow, I think the effort has clearly left its mark as I am currently avoiding DP as I'm finding it very hard not to lose my temper at him even though he's done nothing wrong. Is there any reason why pregnant people shouldn't use modelling clay? I hope not, the thought has only occurred to me now.

You're supposed to feel it sooner with the second so could well be Honey it's nuts to think people on this thread could be feeling movement now!!

Oh & practical question, I cooked a ham on Sunday night & put half in the fridge, can I eat said half tonight or has it been too long?! Really CBA to cook lol.

SpanishLady · 10/04/2013 19:27

I would think ham ok but no expert!

Welcome Madame

So had my booking in and feel half depressed and half more positive if that is even possible. As expected the getting preg after MC without AF caused abit of an issue, she was concerned I didn't MC and am already over 20 weeks - I really don't think that could be and think she finally agreed when she tried to feel my fundus and couldn't nor could she find a heartbeat which I'm trying not to be worried about as by my maths am about 9+6 but she did say she could hear my placenta ( anyone heard of this?) - so as I began to feel progressively that I might be having a phantom pregnancy she proceeded with the booking in and called the EPU to say she is concerned about my dates. I have a scan next Wednesday so guess at least then I might know something concrete either way.

I'm scared of more bad news but I have to find out what is going on and can only hope they will find a growing foetus and it will be ok!

MissTweed · 10/04/2013 19:43

I got a chicken breast out of the freezer this morning to defrost but forgot about it and its been sat on my draining board all day. Do you think that it is safe to cook up and eat or just cook and feed to my DH instead (he has an iron lined stomach)

MissTweed · 10/04/2013 19:45

Oh and welcome Madame Smile

honey86 · 10/04/2013 19:48

ok i must be so lucky, just found hb on the doppler Grin clearer this time and fast... right on my bikini line pointing down and to the right of my pelvis slightly x

williaminajetfighter · 10/04/2013 19:49

hi all,

Keep meaning to ask is anyone on here 40+? Just wondering as I'm 43 and feel like I'm struggling with arthritis and pregnancy symptoms at the same time! :)

I could post on the 40+ ttc/pg thread etc... but I'm loyal to you guys!

getoffthecoffeetable · 10/04/2013 19:51

spanish it sounds like your MW totally stressed you out. Am sorry to hear that. I hope that the week goes really fast for you and you get the reassurance you need next Wednesday.
Welcome madame we're very much into moaning here so you don't need to worry about that one!
misstweed I'd eat the chicken, as long as you've cooked it at a high temperature for long enough it should be ok I reckon.
DS has driven me round the bend today!

Saundy · 10/04/2013 19:51

I do that all the time MissT & am fine. Unless you got it out at 5 or something or you generally have a delicate constitution (I don't).

Am going for it with the ham, found a site that said 3-4 days is ok so as its 3 I'll be ok.

I'm sorry you're struggling so much Spanish it must be incredibly difficult. At least only one more week of worry (or this particular stage of worry). I'm finding it hard to get my head around the enormity if it all. I'm thankfully not having the what if there's something wrong panics. More the fact it's such a commitment panics. I'm not excited yet, but I'm sure that will come, still in shock I think!

getoffthecoffeetable · 10/04/2013 19:52

honey that's brilliant news, so exciting!

Saundy · 10/04/2013 19:53

There's a few Will we had an age amnesty a while ago & a few came up your age so you're not alone. We have a good mix.

JBrd · 10/04/2013 20:00

williamina I'm 41 But don't have arthritis, so can't help you with that, sorry.

Spanish Sorry, your midwife sounds rubbish. So she thinks you just imagined the miscarriage?! Very unprofessional, if you ask me. Surely, she should be experienced enough to recognise a woman of 20 weeks gestation, compared to one at 10 weeks! But at least you're getting a free early scan...

MissT I'd eat the chicken, too, as long as you make sure it's really well cooked through.

Gah, trying to drag myself out to the gym now. I could so just collapse on the sofa...

honey86 · 10/04/2013 20:10

i know, eeeeeee Grin

oh spanish, what a palava Shock youd think a mw could tell the difference if you were that far along! Hmm if she can hear the placenta, thats prob a good sign as the blood would be flowing through to baby.. placenta sounds about like swooshing, like wind through bare trees x

OP posts:
stuffthenonsense · 10/04/2013 20:11

Williamina I'm 40, you are not alone....not got arthritis but I have got age-related moaning Grin
Spanishlady....it's great news that she could hear the placenta, it's a two way system of blood in, waste out and whilst I'm not medically trained I'd bet thousands on it not being possible that there could be a functioning placenta without a baby.

BoyMeetsWorld · 10/04/2013 20:11

Looks like that may be me over and out...the bleeding has started. Lots of it. After 2 days of cramping and weeks of MS, I think I know the outcome Confused very best of luck and health to everyone else but unless karma is seriously on my side, think this is curtains for me...

williaminajetfighter · 10/04/2013 20:14

also Spanish sounds like bad midwife experience. Nothing like being questioned by someone who wasn't there when you had your mc, or when you dtd! The good thing is you'll get a scan so hopefully that will give you the reassurance you need.... Ask for another mw if you can!

MissTweed · 10/04/2013 20:14

Thanks guys..... I shall be eating chicken tonight!! Although I may just wait till DH has eaten first mouthful to see if he keels over! Wink
