Gahhhh bloody men!!!!! Sorry feeling very angry and emotional and my DH is royally pissing me off at the moment. This weekend I had to pick DD from his aunts house in NE Lincs as she had stayed there the week, the Friday was his aunts b-day. He refused to go as he didn't want to upset his mother and twin brother (both he rarely speaks to), even though he knows how tired I am getting and how worried I have been due to this constant brown discharge. Then he takes yesterday off work to play games and laze about to put together a piece of furniture I could have done in an hour; tells his boss it's his starter motor on his car and tells them he will use my car!!! This he has done before and I told him never again, as the car isn't insured to drive for work...I am not risking my insurance! So he then says 'well you wouldn't even have the car if it wasn't for the fact my dad bought it and I gave it to you'...but that was because he broke my damned car in the first place!!!! Even the car he uses for work I payed and my mother payed for! So pissed off excuse the language!

EcoHippyMum · 06/04/2013 18:17

Sorry for ranting - men = blooming frustrating idiots!

BoyMeetsWorld · 06/04/2013 18:34

Well just been out and I got some salt and vinegar squares - they were lovely but did make me feel funny after. Then had a plain pizza baguette slice - that went down ok(ish). DH & co are having chicken tonight though and the smell of it is turning my tummy no end.

The one thing I've found that I can't get enough of is strawberry ribena. Never used to like it!!!

The poster who mentioned YoSushi - is that ok? I thought sushi was a 'black listed' food?

EcoHippyMum · 06/04/2013 18:35

Bacon, cheese and onion crisps, black currant - never normally like them but now do :/

MsFanackerPants · 06/04/2013 18:44

So queasy ALL THE TIME. I hate it, no puking but just constant quease. Definitely worse if I haven't eaten. I'm already a fatty so worried about even more weight gain. Fizzy water seems to help. I'm going to have to talk to the mw on Tuesday about taking phenergan or something because I feel so awful all the time. I'm glad it's not hg but this isn't any sort of fun.
I'm wondering if I have my dates right. I had coil out end of Jan, period in Feb was v late and then v light. It makes next to no difference really, although it would mean DP and I can't take a holiday when we hoped. But it would mean I was closer to the exciting 12 weeks.

BoyMeetsWorld sushi is ok if fish was frozen first www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/foods-to-avoid-pregnant.aspx#sushi

williaminajetfighter · 06/04/2013 18:52

Hi - I had the veg sushi, not into the fish.. just love the rice and avocado maki rolls!

I just had a cream cheese and jam sandwich and it was a winner - the cream cheese is very soothing/comforting and the bread provides the necessary stodge.

Sorry about partner eco -- men can be idiots and you're probably a bit more aware of it not that you're pg. He really should be waiting on you hand and foot though!

EcoHippyMum · 06/04/2013 19:07

I don't expect him to, but a bit of consideration wouldn't go a miss. When he does do something it's normally out of guilt after I have said something. Just fuming with him at the moment. He even came out with a stupid comment after I made some food earlier for us, saying I do love you even if you don't like me... Absolute twit!

My other thing of choice to eat at the moment is anything fruity...sweets, not really into chocolate right now although quite fancy hot chocolate. Bought some Warbutons fruit loaf with orange - buttered and its heaven with a cup of decaf coffee or decaf tea!

Fairydogmother · 06/04/2013 19:13

I have discovered cheese, lettuce and sliced apple baguettes! Totally yum!

I have hated apples my whole life too lol.

Eco men are pests at the best of times but especially when you're pregnant!

EcoHippyMum · 06/04/2013 19:17

Yes they are!!! Might have to try that combination Fairy, sounds nice!

harverina · 06/04/2013 19:38

Hi everyone,

Was dd's birthday yesterday so spent the day with her and today have had family over for a little party which was great. Really struggled yesterday with dd at times and it was all my fault - she was fantastic most of the time but played up a bit at one point and ran away from me in the shops and I actually felt like crying and snapped at dd and dm Hmm think it was a combination of me being exhausted, too warm and feeling a bit nauseous. Party today was fantastic, made a load of party type food and have grazed on that all day which has meant no sickness!!

Do any other mums feel guilty about something most of the time? I so constantly!

When my nausea is bad I like salt and vinegar crisps to lick, diet coke and now salad Grin I had a caesar salad in work on Thursday and it was AMAZING. My boss kept coming to talk to me about something important and I couldn't tear myself away from it. I had to stop myself from groaning haha!!

Whenshe and honey - re. not finding a heartbeat with the doppler, from what I have read, that's not uncommon at our stage. My mw won't listen with the doppler until my week 21/22 appointment. Maybe wait a few weeks and try again, otherwise you guys will just torture yourselves with worry. That's why I didn't get one - I'd be doing it every day.

Misstweed, did you get bloods taken to check your own health in terms of HIV etc? I got that at 8 weeks. I will get bloods taken again on the day of my scan too at 12+3 for downs etc.

I am 10 weeks today. Feel like the weeks are going a little faster now that I don't feel quite so unwell, although every time I say that I then have a horrific sickness day!

Williamina are you really hoping to give birth on Glasgow? (Or do you just miss it so much and you'd love to be here?!) Do you have family up here?

I am sitting waiting on a Chinese meal. Have been craving it for a couple of weeks but not so sure now that it is here.....we'll see!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. For those of you with bad sickness hope it passes soon or you find something to relieve it. I was bad last weekend and feel your pain.

harverina · 06/04/2013 19:49

Eco sorry your dp is being a nuisance Hmm my dh is definitely not being as considerate this time round...he isn't doing anything wrong but he's also not being any extra attentive or caring and last time he really looked after me - so this is, quite unreasonably probably, annoying me!!! I think I deserve a little extra care and attention Grin

EcoHippyMum · 06/04/2013 20:02

Well considering what most men get like when they have a cold or anything.... Yeah a little consideration is all that is asked. This is his first too! My fourth...you would think he would be a little more understanding but the I don't think he has read anything about pregnancy, if its something he is really interested in you can't get him to stop researching. I guess that does worry me somewhat. I am sure I am over reacting somewhat too due to hormones and worry - just wish he would see things from my perspective sometimes. And also sort out the issues he has with his mother and brother (and father for that matter)!

MummaPanda · 06/04/2013 20:13

boymeetsworld I am also a strawberry ribena guzzler in pregnancy, I have to have a constant supply in the house, but it has to be the cartons with the straws! Was the same with dd, maybe its something to do with the vitamin c?

Dizzy81 · 06/04/2013 20:17

Eco sorry to hear your dh is being an arse!

I feel really lucky at the moment as my dh has do far been amazing since I found out I'm pregnant! He's doing the washing up - not something he enjoys doing, cooking tea, a bit of cleaning, washing and constantly making sure I'm ok. If I fall asleep on the sofa early he leaves me to wake up naturally for a wee!
This morning I was throwing up and he rubbed my back, made md juice and made sure I was ok.

For those not bring able to hear the heart beat with the thingy. I think it's too early to hear it, so please don't stress.

Also someone was mentioning maternity clothes for the longer legged ladies amongst us, I've found a site that specialises in mat clothes for the ltsller lady . Will post link when not on my phone.

Am having to use a hair band to button up my jeans! I'm a fatty. :-(

littlemonkey2013 · 06/04/2013 20:59

ive felt really off for the last 2 days. i feel like ive got constant wind and today ive had some brown discharge. i know a lot of people get it but it still makes you worry. though i am trying to calm myself down with the fact that i still feel really sick most the day and my boobs hurt so they are symptoms.

ive struggled with what to eat really and dont fancy much. saundy and boysmeetworld bread has been my staple too but plain bread is probably not all that nutritional though apples have gone down well.
i tried to have some pasta tonight and managed to eat half of it.

i went to the supermarket earlier and felt sick just looking at the food on shelves

LovesTheChoas3 · 06/04/2013 21:31

Hi ladies, I haven't been around since the beginning of the first thread due to sleeping my way through the last month and having so much to do I feel like my head is going to explode. Seems like most of you are getting lots of cravings and things you have gone off. I can't stop eating banana's and they are the only thing that stop me feeling/being sick. Have any of you been excessively tired? I have a sleep in the afternoon, every afternoon and sometimes in the morning too. I can not physically keep my eyes open. Was hoping to be anemic and iron tablets would be the answer but no. My DP has been great, my 3 boys have been too, very excited but obviously not quite understanding the time frame of it all. Have any of you told your DC's and how did they take it?

williaminajetfighter · 06/04/2013 21:52

Harv, my DP still works in Glasgow and I am down south with DD. he comes down on the weekend but its tough being alone during the week.

Ill likely take my mat leave back in Scotland and then we'll decide whether to come back south. Two homes is killing us financially but he's yet to find a job as good as the one he's got. At the moment I feel a bit like a crazy tired single pregnant mom

Ps my prenatal and baby care was so good in Glasgow as was my birth I'm scared to go elsewhere

littlemonkey it is really worrying, but try and stay relaxed. I still worry, even though the last time I spoke to the midwives they seemed not bothered about it all! She said unless its bright red, with clots and a lot of pain not to worry. I am getting weird twinges, but ALS a lot of wind that doesn't help matters - I feel like I am going to worry the whole way through this thing!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 06/04/2013 22:50

Sorry about the brown spotting little & echo

Thanks to all for reassurance re heartbeat. I'm going to leave it alone till after my scan next week.

littlemonkey2013 · 06/04/2013 23:05

thanks for the reassurance.

i feel he same eco that im just going to worry all the time

EcoHippyMum · 07/04/2013 09:04

Good morning ladies and little bumps Smile I hope you are all ok this morning. DH and I had it out last night, and I don't think he even realised how he was making me feel..but I think I have from what he said been making him feel bad as I have been snappy. So we are going to try harder. Keeping fingers crossed but the horrid brown stuff has gone! But saying that my breasts don't seem as sore... I seem to remember it fading in my last pregnancies fairly early on. Has anyone else had this?

Saundy · 07/04/2013 09:39

Will I'm sad to say I would go to that restaurant! There's s gap in the market we need to get on it!

Loves I totally know where you're coming from. I've never know fatigue like this. I wish I had your napping opportunities! Work is so hard. I can't wait until this trimester is over. I think I'm expecting 12+1 to be some kind of magical morning where I spring out of bed full of energy, no sickness & totally back to normal - it happens like that right?!

Am glad you're getting somewhere with DH Echo it is easy to forget its nowhere near as hard on them too!

Am not particularly showing but am feeling so uncomfortable, especially on a night when trying to sleep - doesn't bode well!

BoyMeetsWorld · 07/04/2013 09:49

Eco - my boobs are def less big and sore at the moment too. As I've previously mc I'm hoping that's not a bad sign - but the ms is still raging and no bleeding so fx. I think hormones just fluctuate throughout different pg stages.

Plain White Starchy Stuff would be a GENIUS cafe...imagine if it was combined with a lovely maternity wear / baby-proof jewellery shop, maybe a little library about pregnancy and parenthood where you could read the books while in the cafe, and a "kids welcome" policy. One of us should really do it!!!

Dizzy81 · 07/04/2013 10:12

Eco glad you and your dh have sorted everything out.

I've got a stinker of a cold, feel sick and want to curl up in a ball and sleep. I'm nibbling my way through some toast - fingers crossed that will help.

Hope everyone's ok?
