misstweed hopefully this will give you some relief as I am being scanned on the same day as you and they stole my blood for the test at my booking app at 10weeks exactly. :)

MummaPanda · 06/04/2013 10:46

10 days til my scan!!! Not that I'm counting down or anything...

EcoHippyMum · 06/04/2013 10:56

I've got my booking appointment this coming Tuesday, and my scan isn't till the 23rd, I really want to move it though as I have uni that day and already have missed quite a few Tuesdays due to Mum passing away etc. going to ring them and see if I can have it in the afternoon instead!

BoyMeetsWorld · 06/04/2013 11:22

Best of luck to everyone with scans coming up!!

Gah I hate hormones Hmm sat locked in my room crying because went out for driving lesson, DH knew what time I'd be back but has gone out with the dog and left MIL who doesn't speak any English in the house when I got home. I've been dying for the toilet and to throw up all lesson (awful MS) but she's now been in the bathroom an hr, I can't even go to my own bathroom to be sick and when she DOES come out il have to sit in awkward silence or try to speak another language when my head will barely function. Gah!!! Feel really emotional about it and cross at DH but I guess it's just hormonesHmm

Sorry for rant!

EcoHippyMum · 06/04/2013 12:19

Why has she been in there so long?! I got very annoyed at my DH over Friday and Saturday...I had every reason, but I think the hormones and me worrying about this pregnancy made it worse. If I couldn't get into my own bathroom, I too would be angry! x

BoyMeetsWorld · 06/04/2013 12:26

Goodness knows - she seems to take an hour putting her makeup on. It's partly my own fault as I don't want anyone knowing im pg at this stage thanks to mc last time.

Theyve all gone out for lunch now & left me because I feel so sick. What food is everyone with bad ms finding they can actually keep down, please?

Saundy · 06/04/2013 13:15

Don't eat ice cream!!!! I discovered last night it's is the very worst thing fir the return journey.

Plain ham sandwiches stay down for me. Anything bread related really.

BoyMeetsWorld · 06/04/2013 13:23

Thanks Saundy I've been living on bread (with occasional cheese if I'm having a good hour) but its making me feel somewhat...erm...bunged up (sorry tmi!)

Will def be avoiding ice cream!

Saundy · 06/04/2013 13:30

Apples are ok too actually. It is really hard though to find something that'll stay. It's no craving & all aversion this end.

Dizzy81 · 06/04/2013 13:31

Ritz crackers, sandwiches anything starchy really.

Oooooh squares - could fancy those!

Dizzy81 · 06/04/2013 14:09

I had a massive thing for sal and vinegar crisps and lemonade. I went to makro and got a box of 40 mccoys.

Fairydogmother · 06/04/2013 14:19

Fresh baguette with cheese - helped me tho I didn't have much nausea so not really qualified to comment!

Seems to be that bread etc does help tho does somewhat 'bind' you up lol

MummaPanda · 06/04/2013 14:45

Ginger biscuits toast and bread sticks. I also find lemonade helps settle a queasy stomach. And anything starchy, like oven chips without any sauce / salt and vinegar, just plain. Basically nothing with any flavour lol

MotherOfCleo · 06/04/2013 15:32

apples were my saviour when I was nauseous.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 06/04/2013 15:57

I'm not good with fruit and vomiting. I ate some pineapple yesterday and threw it back up 1 hour later. It was really acidic and burnt all of my throat.

Still can't find a heartbeat on the Doppler Sad 10 weeks 5 days today.

williaminajetfighter · 06/04/2013 16:14

I think they should open a restaurant for women with MS called 'Plain white starchy stuff....' Huge loads of mash potato, buttered toast and other carbs. All you can eat. Would be lovely.

I've been finding that toast is fab and Robinson's lemon squash is really nice --- you can take the bottle to work and add it to water all day.

I am eating CONSTANTLY. It is getting embarrassing. Yesterday went down to London with colleagues for an event --- was eating on the train, then stopped in Paddington to buy something in the shop, then ate all the canapés at the event + 3 drinks, then stopped at Yo Sushi on the way back. I am disgusting myself but they must be aghast! Funny enough I've only put on a few pounds but I'm sure i'll jump up shortly.

When will this MS end? I cannot remember last time around... for all those with lots of children, can you remember when this particular type of hell will be over?

Fairydogmother · 06/04/2013 16:43

I'm really hungry too! Have had cornflakes, a cheese and lettuce baguette, apple, wee packet of peanut m&ms, half a cookie and several glasses of cranberry juice!

I've done a right bit of exercise today and my blood sugar has gone a bit haywire. Feeling a bit shaky but not sure what's best to eat?!

stuffthenonsense · 06/04/2013 16:48

Ms for me tends to end when the baby is born...only 30 weeks to go.

EcoHippyMum · 06/04/2013 17:16

when I have read somewhere that they aren't the most reliable till later on from about 16 weeks x

williaminajetfighter · 06/04/2013 17:18

oh stuff I feel for you. You are a trooper especially for doing it more than once.

williaminajetfighter · 06/04/2013 17:19

sorry, trouper..

honey86 · 06/04/2013 17:20

dw bad, ever since, i havent found it again Sad starting to wonder if it was actually babys hb i heard Blush

as for ms, i cant remember exactly when ms went last time, but i THINK its about 14 weeks... i remember throwing up at the side of the road after my dating scan with dc1 and that was about 12-13 weeks x

honey sorry you haven't heard the heartbeat again secretly quite relieved, sorry
I guess it is just really hard to find at this stage. I'm going to try and ignore the Doppler till after my scan next Saturday.
