Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Fairydogmother · 07/04/2013 11:12

Saundy hate to tell you that the first trimester doesn't finish until 14 weeks so you've a wee bit more to wait!

I've slept practically all weekend lol tho dragging myself up to go and ride my horse now. Massively thirsty all the time and its a pest.

Have a good day everybody!

TiredFeet · 07/04/2013 11:30

Really miserable now. Can't keep anything down and constantly vomiting even when nothing left Sad off to out of hours dr later, praying they will give me injection! Feel so sad as stuck in bed, if move I am sick. Little DS sort of understands but he is going to find it v hard if it goes on for weeks Sad . Dh meant to be going away with work next week but I think I need him to cancel, we have no family nearby and I am scared if I try to cope on my own I will end up in hospital and then where would ds go. Just hope dh isn't to stressed, but he knew I was pregnant when he agreed to the trip so it was always a gamble

Ariel21 · 07/04/2013 12:21

Someone asked how I am - but have lost the page so can't find out who! I'm doing just fine - went shopping for a bridesmaids dress yesterday so told my secret to other bridesmaid and MOTB. Stretchy silk jersey and empire line is my friend.

Hope everyone is OK today.

Saundy · 07/04/2013 12:31

NOOOO Fairy Noooo!!!! 14 weeks? Really? So 14+1 is now my new miracle day.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so rubbish Tired hopefully the Dr will be able to help.

2 things have happened in the last 24hrs that have been a real you're pregnant reality check. 1 - looking at cars with back seats & generous boots to part ex my lovely little 2 seater convertible for BUT perhaps more disturbingly is 2 - seeing that dungarees are back in fashion & thinking 'nice one' haha.

Saundy · 07/04/2013 12:33

Hope you're feeling better too Dizzy

harverina · 07/04/2013 12:43

I was about to say morning then realised its well into the afternoon now Grin and I have done nothing with my day! In laws are still here, so I am going to go and hide somewhere and do uni work while my mil looks after dd and dh and fil do DIY!

Sorry to hear that everyone is feeling a bit miserable this weekend. Tired I hope the dr is able to help you. I feel quite fortunate compared to others (it doesn't stop me from moaning!)

I am very tired today. It's been a busy few days with work then dd's birthday party. I look hungover - you know the way that no amount of makeup will hide tired eyes, well that's me today, I look awful. Dreading work tomorrow Hmm.

Pregnancy wise, the sickness continues to come and go, though it has been over a week since I have actually been sick. Nighttime seems to be worse for nausea and heartburn. My boobs are still sore. They are bigger but massively so (they were already massive Hmm).

Eco glad you and dh have sorted things out Grin

Ok is better go - I need to give myself a shake and get motivated!

Will catch up later.

harverina · 07/04/2013 13:09

Not massively so haha!

suprisepitstop · 07/04/2013 14:16

hmm, just went into kingston with DH for a wander and dragged him into john lewis to have a bit of a nosey at baby buggies and suchlike, and maternity wear. have got to say, buggies etc so confusing, think it is going to take me six months to figure it out! and the clothes!! just because i am pregnang does not mean ive had some strange brain shift making me want to walk around in floor length white cheesecloth skirt with massively fat making horizontal striped top!! im pregnant, not insane without any taste! think further research into shops is required

Minesahotchocolate · 07/04/2013 14:30

Tiredfeet - I hope that the sickness passes soon, that sounds really horrible. Esp. if you're meant to be looking after a little 'un. I hope that your DH is able to stay home - you don't need that extra worry if you're already feeling so rough. Were you sick like that with your 1st preg too?

Littlemonkey - I also had a bit of brown discharge this morning. Gave me a bit of a surprise (and been obsessively checking ever since). Keep trying to tell myself that it is normal.

Animol - Where abouts in Germany are you? I'm in Munich. The healthcare here is so crazily good isn't it? I'm trying to learn German at the moment, and am really noticing the effects of prego brain - my concentration has gone out of the window.

Dizzy81 - That was me asking re: taller preg clothes. I am reassured to hear you say that you're using a hair band on your jeans as I just started doing this this morning! I'd forgotten how pants this early preg stage is - I feel sick, and generally fat, can't fit into my clothes properly, yet have no proper bump to show for it. I feel a fraud wearing a bump band/jeans held together with hair band combo as I just look fat! There is no bump, not even a hint of a small one. I also don't want folk to know yet, but dressing like this makes it kind of obvious.

I'm 9+5 - any one else at this point also already using a hair band? Needing to unbutton jeans? (Prob not helped by my jeans already having been a bit snug before the preg). I'm sure it didn't happen anywhere near as early with preg 1 (but then I still have a mummy tummy from preg 1).

Have also got a stinking cold - oh to be able to take some decongestants! Hate not being able to take most medications. On the plus side, now that I'm not buttoning up my jeans and am only a couple of weeks from the magic 12 week mark, it is all starting to feel a bit more real and I'm beginning to get excited about this baby (which is a relief as at first I felt so distant/in shock about it). I'm looking forward to being able to tell my parents :)

Minesahotchocolate · 07/04/2013 14:31

Ooops, seem to have written an essay. Blush

MsFanackerPants · 07/04/2013 15:56

Oh TiredFeet poor you. I really hope you get sorted. It sounds miserable.

I feel like crying because the nausea is constant. I've tried everything suggested anywhere ever. How can I do an interview on Tuesday when I feel so awful? I'm trying to be positive about it, it means my baby is growing. I'm 6w3d and keep looking at my little fingernail as that's how big the bissellah is now.

Fairydogmother · 07/04/2013 16:11

I feel massively lucky not to have what some people are suffering - hugely lucky!

Hope all those with nausea/ vomiting feel better v soon.

Saundy I've a convertible too but it's a 207cc so there's a huge boot and wee back seats too. My OH is changing his car so we can fit baby and dogs in all at one time but otherwise my car will be grand. Note to anybody with leather seats - baby seats leave huge marks! But I saw a special padded seat cover thing in my local baby shop for £8 that stops the damage.

Having a wee sit down now before thinking about hoovering Confused

BoyMeetsWorld · 07/04/2013 18:34

MsFanacker I know exactly what you mean. I am currently sat outside a restaurant whilst all my family are inside for the next few hours having a meal. I've just made an absolute idiot of myself by not being able to want a single thing off the entire menu (didn't help that it's a v elaborate menu & when asked they wouldn't even do me a sandwich or just some plain pasta or salad). Then I burst into tears when they brought everyone's antipasti because the smell of the Parma ham was making me retch. I've had a grand total of half a banana, 1 slice of brioche and 2 roast potatoes today & I threw up all of those.

Now trying to stop crying and pull myself together but can't see an end to this constant nausea. Not sure how I'll manage work tomorrow.

How's everyone else's ms today?

littlemonkey2013 · 07/04/2013 19:13

boymeetsworld sorry to hear about your restaurant trip, i could imagine me being the same as i told dh i wanted biscuits yesterday and walking up and down the biscuit aisle 3 times i declared i didnt like any of them.

i thought i was doing better today i woke up and was able to drink my morning coffee and have cereal and banana for breakfast. the nausea hit around 2pm and felt sick since.

typical anything i think i could fancy i dont have in the house, at the moment i am dreaming about fresh corn on the cob, its all i want to eat....and also a cold glass of wine but i think thats because i cant have it.

only a little brown spotting today so fingers crossed alls ok

fairy if you are worrying about leather seats then think how my seats are going to get because they are beige! i think im going to have to find a car seat protector type think to save them.

honey86 · 07/04/2013 19:13

evening, ladiesSmile

ms not too bad today, still wore the seabands though.. definately lacking in energy, though i was so sick of looking at my overgrowing garden and after my food shop i mowed the grass pruned the shrubs cleared rubbish etc so exhausted now.

feeling abit up and down emotionally, breaking up is starting to sink in abit now, why do men have to change? Sad when dp1 died i swore i werent going to become a single mum again. but from what ive heard, ep hasnt changed abit. still pissing money up the wall still not looking after himself still same old same old. so on i soldier..

boobs are still sensitive but not as painful and not as swollen xx

williaminajetfighter · 07/04/2013 19:55

evening boy - you should have come over to my 'dream' restaurant that serves mash, salt and vinegar crisps washed down by Ribena! heaven.

I tried to do a shop today - people stank, the store stank and looking at raw meat made me want to retch. I just randomly threw things in the cart hoping whatever I picked up would do the trick. I am also sooo tired of feeling nauseous and i'm only 9+4. Frig.

My mom is coming to visit next week and I'm not going to tell her about pg as we are not very close and I don't want to worry her if anything goes wrong. Plus she's not so hot on DP so it'll probably be a bit of a disappointment. How I am going to get through 10 days with her I have no idea. I'm just going to have to tell her that I'm coming down with the flu/something I can't shake or that I've suddenly becoming highly allergic or anaemic. Are there any illnesses that last 10 days and make one lethargic and nauseous? Should I tell her I have Mono? :)

EcoHippyMum · 07/04/2013 20:09

Evening all, went for a nap earlier and woke up feeling nauseous bleurgh. Had some very light brown spotting again and everything is stretching, blooming relaxin is even making my legs ache already.
Awaking a friend to come, she is bringing me a African Pygmy hedgehog!! I haven't seen her since we were 17, so will be nice to catch up.

BoyMeetsWorld · 07/04/2013 20:23

Soo good (in a selfish way!) to hear others are going through the same thing. Willamina your restaurant sounds like heaven :)

Eco - are you serious? A real Pygmy hedgehog? Why? And Awwwwwww! Please add photos if it's a real one!

harverina · 07/04/2013 21:03

Boymeetsworld have you seen your gp about your sickness? Might be a good idea to see someone and get some help with your sickness. Such a shame that you were not able to eat with your family today. While some days my nausea has been awful and there have been times I have been sick, generally there is always food I crave which helps me, even for a short while.

Williamina jut caught up properly and saw your message - you must find it hard during the week while your dp is away Hmm. My dh is working away again this week from early Monday until Friday night and I find it a struggle sometimes. The first week he went away (he has a newish job) was horrendous because my nausea, dizziness and diarrhoea was awful. I cried most nights and really struggled with all the basic day to day stuff with dd. it's gotten a little easier as the weeks have passed as my ms comes and goes and is never constant and my diarrhoea and dizziness has pretty much gone (perhaps they were linked). But just to have someone else around to help a bit is great - I really appreciate what he does when he isn't here as he is so good around the house. I know that single mums just have to get on with it and I admire their strength and all the hard work they put in.

Honey sorry your ex hasn't been any bwtter. In a way it may be better to realise that now? I don't know, it's easier for me to say that as an outsider when I am not on your shows, but you have been a single mum before and seem to be so strong that you will manage this time too. I was brought up by a single mum and while I know she struggled financially and probably emotionally at times without a partner I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I had the best childhood and a fantastic relationship with my mum. We are very close (we have our moments!) and I love her to bits. I'm not minimising the difficulties, just wanted you to know that I had a really positive experience as a child.

I am jut heading to bed - dh is up and 4 and while he tries to be quiet I usually waken and struggle to get back to sleep so I'm determined to get off to a food start tonight Grin

Btw can't believe how common brown spotting is in trimester 1! Maybe if we were told these things we wouldn't panic so much. Thinking of those of you that do have spotting, and understand that you will be feeling anxious despite midwives not being too concerned.

Also thinking of those of you who are feeling sick and being sick tonight. Try and sleep as much as possible. I noticed a huge difference after a decent sleep.

Fairydogmother · 07/04/2013 21:05

Meat seems to seriously turn me off too - we BBQ'd chicken the other night and I just couldn't even look at it!

However chicken goujons with breadcrumbs are grand lol

harverina · 07/04/2013 21:05

Oh and yes jeans are tight and button often undone and I am 10+1...on my babycentre message yesterday it said that at this stage we probably wouldn't be quite ready for mat wear but our clothes would probably be too tight so we can't be alone Grin

How I got to 20 weeks last time I will never understand...and my jeans were buttoned up!!!! Shock

My size 8 friend was out of her jeans by about week 10 so it does seem to be such a gamble! Tho after your first baby everything def does seem to pop far quicker.

I'm a 12 and nothing feels abnormal at all tho a big dinner does make me feel v uncomfortable afterwards

TiredFeet · 07/04/2013 21:18

Well I am writing this from a hospital bed Sad been admitted because of high ketones due to vomiting. On a drip to rehydrate and had an injection. Missing my little boy a lot!

boymeetsworld you should speak to gp/ midwife there should be things they can do to help.

Agree with whoever posted about maternity clothes- its so hard to find anything nice!
