vocal yay on the same EDD! Enjoy your scan tomorrow! I was really expecting tje worst and then she suddenly said "there's the heartbeat" i couldn't believe it. Got my booking in appt with the midwife next week. Tried to persuade dh that we should have a private scan next week as we'd originally planned but think its a no go and will have to wait till 12 weeks :(

music the fainter line could be for a number of reasons such as the concentration of wee etc thats different to last time you did it so please don't panic.

LadyMedea · 16/04/2013 21:26

quiet please go to your doctor. I gave in this morning and went and the medication is already helping. If you leave it too long you might end up in hospital, better to treat early. Go see your GP and take a couple of days off to feel better.

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 16/04/2013 21:39

Hello! Can I join?

I'm 5 weeks today, due dec 17th with my 3rd!

I'm absoloutly dreading the morning sickness it usually starts around week 7 and doesn't stop until week 20! So I've come prepared I've got a little sick kit in my handbag that contains a couple of sealable sickbags, a travel sized mouthwash, mints, water and tissues!

I knew I was pregnant before my period was due as I had slight cramping early on which I put down to implantation pain then my boobs felt like they were on fire and they never hurt so I just knew Smile

Has tiredness kicked in for anyone else yet? I'm worried about the ms and how I'm going to cope with work as I'm self-employed. Has anyone had to take any meds for ms previously and how did they get on?

yogafan · 16/04/2013 21:50

Welcome newbies!

Just wanted to say to music I'm really sorry you've had some bleeding, it must be really scary. Thinking if you. Please remember that it actually happens to a lot if women who go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies, but it is so stressful and worrying. If you didn't use morning pee for the preg test the hormone might not have been as strong as when you tested before. Big hug, hoping you have an ok night x

PistachioTruffle · 16/04/2013 21:54

Music, I'm so sorry you're going through this too, I really wouldn't wish it on anybody, the worry is horrendous Sad
Do you have an early pregnancy unit you could ring nearby in the morning?

yogafan · 16/04/2013 21:57

Good luck for the scan tomorrow vocalista, how exciting!

I really feel for you ninja. That kind of sickness sounds horrible. I was sick every day in my last preg but majority of food stayed down. Maybe you should see GP about anti sickness stuff? Hope you feel better soon. X

musiceverywhere · 16/04/2013 22:03

Thank yoga and pistachio, means a lot, especially when can't really talk to people in RL. I think there's an epau, but there's not really anything they can do in this situation.
Think I'll just wait and see what course it takes, it's only a little pink spotting at present, but think getting more. I'll keep appointment at GP next week and see if I can get early scan to confirm one way or another.

musiceverywhere · 16/04/2013 22:06

Ooh pistachio, just realised it's your scan tomorrow. Thinking of you, hope they can give you some peace of mind. x

Thankyou music and harry, counting down the hours now. I'm expecting the worst, as a sort of defence mechanism I think. Anything positive is then a bonus, if that makes sense. I agree with music, it means a lot to have support here when almost no one in in RL knows.

13loki · 17/04/2013 05:14

Good luck today pistachio

Off to work on my usual day off. Grrrrrr. Stuck in a room with my department all day, I'm sure the other woman (who is pregnant) will work it out today. I spent yesterday just concentrating on not throwing up. On the plus side, because I swapped a day, I get a 5 day weekend!

yogafan · 17/04/2013 06:52

Good luck , good luck pistachio. Really hoping there's good news at the scan and that the agony of waiting will be eased. So sorry you are going through this x

inkymomma · 17/04/2013 07:02

harry yeah I didn't get a fanfare either. I at least expected to be weighed or poked and prodded in some way. Thinking of you pistachio and hope its good news.
thebreastmilk we have the same EDD! Been waiting to see if anyone due on the same day as me

featherbag · 17/04/2013 07:09

Hope everything goes well today Pistachio, will be thinking of you.

kyz1981 · 17/04/2013 08:05

Thinking of you Pistachio - hope everything goes well today x

featherbag · 17/04/2013 08:23

Sorry in advance for TMI, anyone else hideously constipated? Finally had a much longed for but still inadequate poo this morning, may have to resort to prune juice. Even the sonographer who scanned me on Monday commented on how 'full' I was Blush

Misspositivity · 17/04/2013 08:24

2beornot. Welcome and congrats. I am late dec too. 23rd by lmp and 25th by ovulation. Baby #2 for me too.

How are you feeling?

ccsays · 17/04/2013 08:32

featherbag Yup. Made myself a sweet potato dhal last night (recipe here if you fancy) which seemed to help a bit, lots of fibre and all that. But yes, have taken to taking my ipad into the loo with me Blush

violetbean · 17/04/2013 08:35

Hi all,

I went to the GP again yesterday and she said there's no doubt that the test is positive, my EDD is currently 5th Dec but I'm pretty sure that will become later after scan, due to irregular periods and digital test saying '1-2 weeks' last week. First baby. Can I be added to the list anyway? Wink

GP was nice, calmed my anxieties about eating / doing the wrong things. Told me I should get lots of vitamin D, by sitting / going out in the sun as much as possible.

Sorry to hear about spotting, you're in my thoughts.

Have to organise myself today, lots of things I've been putting off due to excitement that really are urgent now!

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 17/04/2013 09:49

Hi inky it will be nice to have a sister with whom I can compare notes! Do you have anymore children? Apologies for not checking through the threads but I'm accessing via my phone so very tedious and slow going back to check.

featherbag I too am pooing like a rabbit so have started taking psyllium husks (from holland n barretts or online) you can take them loose + add to cereals or juice or like me take the capsules as I don't like them gelatifying my juice but they are flavourless + natural so ok to take during pregnancy + definately help to bulk things up Wink

yogafan · 17/04/2013 10:06

Ooo, thanks for the recipe ccsays, it looks yum. I think iron often makes you bunged up, and a lot of us will have iron in our preg vits, as well as folic acid. Lots of water, veg curry, and prunes!
So pleased your trip to the doctor went well violet, congrats on your official BFP!

QuietNinjaTardis · 17/04/2013 10:15

Hey everyone. Dh called doc and he called me back. He's prescribed something, dh will pick prescription p later. I'm assuming its safe? They wouldn't prescribe if not safe would they? Feel so so sick. Cannot move without wanting to vomit.

MildredH · 17/04/2013 10:52

Hi all,
Had scan this morning. Healthy 7mm bean with heartbeat. Couldn't find any cause for spotting.
So relieved. Even stopped feeling sick for half an hour! Back with a vengeance now though..
Good luck pistachio with your scan today..

kyz1981 · 17/04/2013 11:03
