I got my BFP this morning and my EDD date is December 5th. Baby number 1.
Anyone else yet?

Misspositivity my EDD by ov is the 25th too!!! Wouldn't mind a Christmas Day baby but want to be there whenmy nearly three year old wakes up!!

Mildred that is fantastic news. I've heard that spotting for no reason is actually quite common. Very worrying though!

Hope everyone having bad morning sickness gets through it soon! I had none with dd1 so really hope that happens again!!

When did everyone tell their families?

My brother and sister came round for dinner yesterday and asked me and DP when we were thinking of having another baby. Kind of awkwardly admitted we were 'trying' (which they found hilarious) but don't think they twigged, even though I wasn't drinking... I'm going to tell my sis in a couple of weeks after first midwife appointment if all goes well - do they listen for heartbeat then, I can't remember? Think I'll be 8 or 9 weeks. Planning to tell others after the 12 week scan (had to tell family earlier with DD as I was so sick didn't think I'd be able to hide it) so might give in and tell them earlier... It's sooooo nice being able to talk about it in here, I'm bursting to talk about it to make it all seem more real!

Ninja - pleased to hear you've got some mess coming, sounds like you've been really suffering. I think doctors are super extra cautious about prescribing for pregnant women and have been safely prescribing anti sickness drugs for ages. Hope they make you feel better soon x

Thanks yogafan, really hope they work. Have kept nothing down so far today and movement makes me feel sick.

Ooh spooky ccsays I made that exact recipe for the first time on Monday for my dinner, it was very yummy!

Congrats on the scan mildred I embarrassingly shed a tear or two on Friday when I saw my little blob on the screen with a heartbeat

Anyone else got a crippling headache, I remember going to the docs last time as I was too scared to take any painkillers!

i've had some quesiness this morning but think it might be more due to lack of sleep the pg symptoms

Just had my first doctors appointment. No fanfare for me either, and I must have sounded a bit ambivalent when I announced that I was pregnant as he asked 'is that a good thing?'... But no further appts until the midwife booking in at 10 weeks, and other than checking I was taking folic acid and telling me 'come back if there is bleeding', that was it. Kind of a let down really. So now I'm going to book a private dating scan just to check there really is a bean in there!

Anyway, I seem to have my EDD wrong somehow, it's 12th of Dec. Not sure how I managed that... So I've updated the list.

Thanks all. It's such a relief and nice to be out of limbo land wondering whether I am still pregnant..

Actually looking forward to going back to work tomorrow just to get life back to normal. I'm sure the gynae I saw was well meaning signing me off but I think bumbling about the house for two weeks has sent me slightly stir crazy & obsessive about feeling sick!

Clare8- it was my DH who shed a tear in the scan room ( but then he's been known to crumble at location, location, location before).. And then had to sit down as he felt faint. He's going to be incredible in the delivery room!

Well, the scan was inconclusive, they could see a gestational sac and a yolk sac but no baby. So either I'm not as far along as first thought, or the pregnancy has stopped developing and I'll eventually miscarry. I have a scan in 10 days time to see if there's been any further development, but in the meantime I'm stuck in a horrific limbo

Oh pistachio I'm sorry that you're gonna be stuck in limbo. I'm so sorry, I wish I could do something for you x

Oh no pistachio, the prospect of waiting that long must be absolutely horrible. Are there people in RL that you can tell so they can help take your mind off it?

Thanks ladies, I know this isn't the end, but I'm finding it difficult to remain positive.
Orbis, I've confided in a good friend, the same thing happened to her and she continued with a healthy pregnancy.

Pistachio, so sorry you have more excruciating waiting... That is really encouraging about your friend's experience, but it is such a long time to wait. Hug.

ninja I'm so sorry that you're feeling so rubbish. I really hope your medication works.

I have a gum infection at my wisdom tooth :( soooo sore ow! Dentist advised to use corsodyl and salty water. Hopefully it'll clear soon. Anyone know any natural remedies?

Thank you so much ladies, the handholding is truly appreciated. I actually recalculated my due date according to when I think I might have ovulated, and it makes me 5+3 instead of 6+6, which would fit in with what we saw on the scan. So hopefully it is just because its early, which makes me feel a little better! I'm just trying to take it one day at a time, today I am pregnant!

weechops be careful with Corsodyl. It stains your teeth after about a week of usage and is VERY difficult to remove.

Oh and pistachio if you're only 5+3 there wouldn't be heartbeat yet, so that makes sense too. xxx

Thanks for that taking. I actually noticed my teeth were a bit yellow and thought it was the decaf coffee I switched to! Ok I think I'll struggle on with salty water. It actually makes it feel better than the corsodyl anyway :)

I've just got back from the doctors. He was lovely, congratulated me, but the band didn't come out playing in celebration and I perhaps couldn't see the fireworks because its too light???

I have an appointment with the midwife two weeks today. Looking forward to it already!

I bit the bullet and booked in for a private scan on sat, I'll be 6+5, am I likely to see anything? I'm just so paranoid that it might be ectopic, I have been getting really bad cramps, worse than period pain so I guess if anything it's just peace of mind... And I bet these private clinics are making a killing out of paranoia!!!

Hope everyone is having a good day... I'm so tired...

I can't remember who it was who asked but I had a killer headache on mon and plenty of fluid and half a paracetamol and early night seemed to do the trick...

Sorry that you didn't get any conclusive answers pistachio, glad you have someone to talk to in RL. Try and stay positive until you know for definite, although I know what you mean about preparing yourself for the worst and then anything else is a bonus. Thinking of you.
Glad you had a good scan mildred, means me feel more positive about my spotting (which is now just brown and minimal) I still have lack of other symptoms though which worries me. (though POAS first thing this morning and line was much darker which made me feel better)
bonker5 do you mind me asking how much your scan will be? Keep seeing different prices.
