Wow that's exciting shootingstars!

Glad everything is ok.

(Secretly hoping that happens to me!!Smile)

Just managed to have my docs appointment, who sent me to the reception to get the midwife referral form which should have been done by the doc so I don't have much faith in getting the referral... (Will ring next week)...

Big dilemma today is which hospital to use... Am I allowed to view both? We are moving soon so will be a little closer to a different hosp but I don't have a clue about that one and no idea what I should look for... I didn't have a choice with my daughter...

Weescottie · 09/04/2013 11:41

Wow, that's great! Hope the next 6 months go smoothly for you.

I'd love to jump the next 6 weeks. Lol.

QueenofWhispers · 09/04/2013 12:22

Hi Guys!

I'm back again. I have a little dilemma. So the weekend before last I took a pg test and tested negative. Felt a bit weird again last week so took 6 tests on Sunday (all positive). Anyone have any Idea how pregnant I could be? My last period was Feb 21st. I'm a little bit worried.

I asked my GP for a dating scan but he said they don't do those.

MildredH · 09/04/2013 12:43

Hi queen,

My last period was feb 27 and I'm 5 weeks 6 days today so I'd guess you're 6 weeks 5 days..

Congrats!

QueenofWhispers · 09/04/2013 12:46

Thanks MildredH :) Congrats to you too!

b0nker5Mum · 09/04/2013 13:10

Hi queen, it also depends on your cycle... My lmp was 24th feb but I am only 5 + 1 (I was charting tho as I wouldn't have a clue when my next period was due otherwise... )....

Hope you are further along...Smile

TakingTheStairs · 09/04/2013 13:45

shooting What wonderful news! Congratulations!!!

Queen that wasn't very helpful of him was it! Do you have the ability to buy a clear blue digital test? That will give you and indication of how many weeks you are, if it says 3+ then you'll be a minimum of 5 weeks, but how many weeks you are will depend on when you ovulated.

shooting Wow. That must be strange to get your head around.

Queen Congratulations. My best guess is they'll date from your last period to book in a scan around 12 weeks, and they will change your dates then if needed.

So I called the kvinnohälsavård (women's health centre) and I now have an appointment with a midwife no dentist this time, I triple checked Monday morning. She sounded all confused when we were going through dates, so I think she has booked me in as soon as possible because she can't really work out my dates. Unfortunately booked for the morning, so no skipping swedish lessons. I do, however, miss a staff meeting, which is almost as good.

QueenofWhispers · 09/04/2013 14:56

Thanks everyone, I've sent DH out to find the clear blue test; I walked past that specific test only like 50 times yesterday--I don't know what I was thinking when I didn't pick it up. I even used it when I was having DS.

anyone else have their nipples on fire? I'm in absolute agony; I'm starting to think the best thing to do is stick ice packs on them in the mornings. brrrrr.

AirDuster · 09/04/2013 15:06

May I join? I tested on Saturday fully expecting a negative - but a second line appeared, very very slowly, very very faint.

Due 14 December & if all goes well it would be DC1! It's so early days that I can't take it in really - strange to feel so different because of something no bigger than a full stop.

Gooseysgirl · 09/04/2013 16:10

OMG Queen I know the feeling... A few days ago I thought I was going to go slowly insane with sore boobs and nipple itch!!! But TG it's stopped for the moment...

TakingTheStairs · 09/04/2013 16:54

Congratulations AirDuster Welcome to the thread!

How is everyone finding pregnancy so far? Does anyone else have no symptoms whatsoever?

I have had a positive test but other than that I feel no different!

x

QueenofWhispers · 09/04/2013 17:48

Ggirl Mine are not settling down! Nipple Fire craze. :(

Okay everyone, did the clear blue test, it says 2-3 weeks. Does that mean 4-5 weeks?

OrbisNonSufficit · 09/04/2013 18:35

Queen yes it means 4-5 weeks (cb measures how pregnant you actually are, and you aren't actually pregnant for the first 2 weeks the way the NHS count it)... It's pretty accurate. I took two, one the day before AF due, one the day it was due (and I ovulate almost exactly 14 days before AF each month) - and it changed from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks between the two tests.

OrbisNonSufficit · 09/04/2013 18:42

Ganet same here. Not a lot of symptoms. Some weird things but they come and go - a bit dizzy sometimes, hyper sense of smell sometimes, every now and then exhausted for no reason, dry skin, a few more zits, bleeding gums, mildly queasy occasionally... Boobs still sadly the same size and most days I forget I'm pregnant for hours on end.

Gooseysgirl · 09/04/2013 19:21

Queen it's awful Confused It reminded me of how sore my nipples were after the first few days of BF last time, I must dig out the Lansinoh cos I've a feeling the itch will return!!!
My queasiness is getting worse but luckily I'm on hols at the moment.. No vomiting, phew!

QuietNinjaTardis · 09/04/2013 19:29

Hey everyone. Sorry have missed loads. Congrats to any new bfp. Well nausea has definitely kicked in and is pretty much constant even when I wake in the night. I am knackered and not sleeping great either which isn't helpful. Apart from that I'm ok. And at least I've not been sick yet.

LadyMedea · 09/04/2013 19:52

Need to moan... God I feel crap. I seem to be worse as th day goes on with nausea kicking in late afternoon, just in time to get carsick on the way home. Totally knackered and brain fully not functioning.... Worth I know but woah this is the crappy bit!

My back is achy but more at the base of my spine.
What is with the bloating?! I seriously look like I've got a bump already. Might have to invest in some new work clothes to accommodate the extra air Blush

Dasie · 09/04/2013 21:09

Yep I'm a constant with the nausea too, it's getting worse everyday. Just keep thinking at least I've not actually been sick Smile
And the exhaustion just makes it soooooo much worse!!

MildredH · 09/04/2013 22:06

I'm with you all with the nausea and exhaustion. Off work this week but think I will really struggle next week..

Part of me thinks I shouldn't moan- especially having had a scare with the pregnancy. Also, it's partly reassuring that things are progressing but honestly another 6 weeks like this are going to be LONG!

Dasie Right with you all with the nausea, today it has been baaad.... nearly had to sit down in the lift at work, what a sight that would have been but thought today might have been the day I was actually sick but luckily I haven't been! It's been getting increasingly bad since 4 weeks and am now 6w 3d and hoping it doesn't continue to get worse otherwise I will be in a heap. Also today eating didn't help! Boooo, I thought that was my fix.

Also I feel so fat! The bloat is ridiculous I have already had to buy 1 new pair of work trousers up a size, and tights are so uncomfy. But.... it will all be worth it in the end.

Can't wait for our reassurance scan, 1 week tomorrow, so excited.

Also, just made chocolate and banana muffins for a bake sale at work tomorrow, to raise money for someone running the London marathon, rather them than me but happy to eat cake! yum :)
