Good luck with everything tomorrow pinkbear . Glad you're able to feel some wiggles.

Maw you are a braver/more energetic woman than me! We had friends over last night for dinner and I still had to insist on taking up my usual post-dinner horizontal sofa position for much of the evening!

redwellybluewelly · 17/03/2013 17:01

Pinkbear I hope you have good news tomorrow

I'm working till 37 weeks now, have brought it forward by a week as I just don't have the energy which I had first time round. Plus the MW was getting all red faced and grumpy. That means I have 9 weeks left. Into single figures now - all getting a tad 'real'.

Toddler slept in her cot ALL night last night - was my night 'on duty' and I was wiped out so I was exceedingly thankful. Might have gone shopping today and browsed the baby clothes section, DD was very happy to help by pointing out the clothes 'she' liked!

MrsBri · 17/03/2013 17:06

I'm so impressed with you working that long, redwelly...I couldn't imagine lasting that long! 8 weeks left for me, and that feels like too many. Still not sure it feels real yet though!

Olimoss · 17/03/2013 17:28

Gosh busy weekend here, glad for the good news about and Pink, hope tomorrow goes as well as you can hope....

News in is that the boyfriend and I spent 4hrs constructing flatpack furniture yesterday with nary a harsh word nor argument. Bit anticlimactic! is good progress, both the baby's room and the spare room cleared of anything that doesn't need to be in there. Good stuff.

Anyone else feeling like their bump is growth-spurting? I feel utterly enormous, somewhat frightened to imagine what full term will feel like.

Funeral attire, oh no, I assume that means you're having a hard time now. What's your budget? this from topshop might be good, £29, sleeves, decent length - put with black flats and some discreet jewellery should be fine.

However, if you are short like me, that might fall at a difficult length, something like [[http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=1&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=6133818&langId=-1&sort_field=Newness&categoryId=208537&parent_categoryId=203984&pageSize=20&refinements=category~[209827|208537]&noOfRefinements=1 this] might be better, it's sold as a tunic, but if you are shorter then it'll land at knee length, put with black maternity tights and it'll be good.

Unless you are going to a high church funeral then grey or dark navy would also be ok if you already have something in your maternity wear.

So sorry to hear that. Will you have to travel to the funeral?

MrsBri · 17/03/2013 19:27

So sorry, Sparkle. I hope you've got family around for support. xx

pinkbear82 · 17/03/2013 19:37

Sending lots of hugs sparkle. x

learnermummy · 17/03/2013 20:23

Sorry for your loss sparkle.
Sending positive thoughts for tomorrow pinkbear.
I can recommend hypnobirthing - we did a course last time and think it did really help. Only downside is that you have to practise the breathing techniques and listen to the CDs a lot. Haven't managed to fit it in yet.
I hope take aways aren't off the menu for good Collector! But wouldn't want to repeat Friday nights experience.

MadameJ · 17/03/2013 21:00

Hello ladies, very strange today but baby appears to be "divebombing" onto my cervix, it's such a strange feeling and at one point it felt as if baby was trying to escape Hmm

MrsBri · 17/03/2013 21:07

I get kicked in what feels like my lady bits all the time, Madame...bizarre, isn't it?!

MadameJ · 17/03/2013 21:19

Really strange MrsBri, never experienced this with my first and Im not overly sure I like it Hmm

MrsBri · 17/03/2013 21:22

I have to admit to finding it more disconcerting than endearing! Feels quite wrong. :-/

redwellybluewelly · 17/03/2013 21:46

Sorry for your loss sparkle

Cervix tickling and kicking is a common occurrence here. Most disconcerting.

MadameJ · 17/03/2013 21:56

Glad im not the only one!!

maisiebeem · 18/03/2013 07:00

I am so looking forward to not having this Monday morning feeling soon. I'm going to start doing 4 day weeks, so hopefullythat feeling won't be transferred to a Tuesday!
pink hope today swings the right way for you! And sparkle sorry for your loss.
Just wondering where would you ladies recommend getting a mattress for a stokke sleepi from?
Happy Monday people!

AmIGoingMad · 18/03/2013 07:03

Haven't had much chance to read since posting yesterday morning but just wanted to say, so sorry for your loss sparkle x

And good luck today Pinkbear. I hope it all goes as well as it can and will be thinking of you x

MrsBri · 18/03/2013 07:07

Best of luck today, pinkbear.

We spent yesterday evening watching my belly move, seemingly of its own accord. It's fascinating seeing the kicks as well as feeling them. :-)

DH and baby are bonding nicely too, in that if DH pushes baby's foot gently, baby will push back against him. Sweet!

Have to say that having baby shove his head into my side as hard as possible was a tad uncomfortable though!

Overall I'm quite enjoying it at the moment. I feel a bit better about work today as I gave myself the whole weekend off. And they can go jump if they even consider complaining!

curiousgeorgie · 18/03/2013 09:16

Good luck Pinkbear, keep us posted!

And so sorry for your loss sparkle :(

Has anyone heard of CMV? Ive just heard this morning that BIL, SIL and DN all have it and I've been with them quite a bit, as recently as yesterday... Is it something I should worry about? Confused

Sunbeam18 · 18/03/2013 09:57

Curious, I'd phone the midwife about CMV. I hadn't heard of it but just googled it and it sounds like a herpes-type virus which isn't good if contracted for the first time during pregnancy. I'd keep away from those who have it now they have been diagnosed.

Good luck today, pink. Hope things go ok - thinking of you.

curiousgeorgie · 18/03/2013 10:10

I called the midwife and have to go in and have bloods taken... Very annoying!

pinkbear82 · 18/03/2013 10:11

Thank u everyone. Heads a bit all over the place!
Slept better than I thought I would - might have been the fact I could take up the whole bed to get comfy.... Best not tell DP that! Wink

Hope everyone's Mondays go ok. It's the start of being a week closer to meeting our LOs.

Will be back later with an update once I've heard anything. And thank u all, might sound silly but it's kinda nice knowing I have even more support.
