Mumma they book in around 8 weeks now here, bloods etc all get done and then the scan a few weeks later. I'll be seen by the consulant at hospital around the same time I think, all going well.

stuff hugs, hope his cold goes soon and you get some much needed sleep.

suffolk ooh not long to wait then! Your profile says east anglia, you may be near me? I'm Cambs. Good luck for your scan

ncsmummy · 14/03/2013 10:24

Thanks Suffolk!
Sorry to hear you have to go for your scan alone - I will be thinking of you

MummaPanda · 14/03/2013 10:25

Thanks stuff those with dcs already, how long did the 4month sleep regression last? Cos we are on about 2weeks now. Really hoped it wouldn't last this long as dd was such a good sleeper before! Sad

Hi bizzy welcome and congrats! I'm also due on 7th Nov and my first MW appointment is 15th April. My docs want me to see them this arvo for a 'first antenatal app' with them I think it's with the nurse, I really hope it's not a complete waste of time. Last time I saw the nurse for my new patient medical she kept me in her room for 30mins only to call her plumper 3 times while I was in there and tell me in detail about her boiler issues!!! Not impressedShock

CheeseandGherkins · 14/03/2013 10:29

mumma my dd3 is 13 months and still feeds in the night, around 4 times last night but she's never slept through and has always had that pattern, used to be more so this is good! I'm used to it now though and co sleeping really helps as I don't have to get up to feed her. I love having her so close to me all night Smile

Thanks cheese me and dh don't know what to do with ourselves, we are so tired atm. She has been sleeping atleast 8hrs a night since she was a month old. I didn't want to have to introduce a night feed back in when she hadn't needed one before, so we've been giving her a dummy as the only thing that will settle her is sucking. But that just made it 10x worse! So we are retreating back to giving her a bottle tonight and hopefully she will sleep abit better.

In real need of Wine but will have to settle for Brew lol

Suffolk I did realise that your username may have been where you are AFTER I posted hehe. Ah, I avoid the rosie now as my stillbirth was there, hintchingbrooke for my last baby and this one and they've been fantastic. I was totally shocked and the difference in care. My current hospital is amazing and I haven't met a rude or horrible person at all, it was the opposite at my previous one though. They really go the extra mile now. I'm just outside Cambridge centre and live the same distance from both hospitals.

Mumma wow 8 hours a night since a month old! None of mine have ever done that! I think 4 months is maybe a little young to not need a feed at night and it could well be a growth spurt. I'd go with the flow personally and just give what she asks for Smile far better than everyone being awake half the night!

mumma four months is prime time for growth spurt. Have you tried a dream feed? It worked really well for DS.
suffolk good luck, we're all here for virtual handholding
stuff sorry your DC is poorly, back to the newborn phase of trying to sleep when baby sleeps if you can. Much sympathy

ncsmummy · 14/03/2013 10:48

I used to suffer badly with panic attacks but not had one for ages but the last few days I have been feeling really anxious and panicky, even now I feel on the verge of an attack, is this the hormones do you think?

stuffthenonsense · 14/03/2013 10:53

Mumma, we also cosleep which helps with multiple wakings. I wouldn't even attempt to find a cause or cure as you will almost certainly end up more exhausted. Just go with the flow, prioritise the essential and drop everything else.
Good look with your scan Suffolk. Hope all is well.

MummaPanda · 14/03/2013 11:01

Thanks everyone for your advice! To make matters worse I just threw up my guts. Hurray for pregnancy!! Envy

ncs certainly sounds like the hormones doing their worst

bizzybee1234 · 14/03/2013 11:31

I got my appointment on the phone last week, but thinking about it, they said they would send me a letter and some other stuff (I don't know what) and I haven't received that yet.

Do you have to book your scan separately or does the MW do that? I thought you get a scan at 12 weeks, but if my booking appt isn't till then end of week 11, then that doesn't sound like enough time to me to get it arranged?

Hope the morning sickness is wearing off for everyone...! I get about 5 minutes where I feel normal, between morning (aka all day sickness) wearing off and evening exhaustion setting in.

Dizzy81 · 14/03/2013 12:11

Cheese hope everything goes ok.

Welcome to the new ones and to those suffering from ms, poor things. I've not had it yet.

The boobies are very tender today, walking is making them ache big time and I can't stop stuffing my face!!

So glad for you Suffolk!! X

getoffthecoffeetable · 14/03/2013 12:51

bizzy it does sound like they're cutting it very fine. I'd give them a ring to ask them and see how they're going to be organising the scan to be done.
Just had call from MW, booking in appointment is 27th March - same MW as last time. Hmm

Saundy · 14/03/2013 12:51

Hey Suffolk I hope the scan went well & everyone else is feeling better.

I've just found out that I have to go for an early scan tomorrow too (at 6 weeks) didn't really ask why as didn't want any answers that'd stress me out. Just wondering what to expect really.

getoffthecoffeetable · 14/03/2013 12:52

suffolk that's brilliant news!
