Shagged Out Viroids 7th Thread! From conception to birth...living proof that JSing really does work!

MrsBri · 04/03/2013 21:03

Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw a few births, including one set of twins, and this one promises to be fruitful also with a number of us nearing the end of the 9 month wait!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 14th thread.

Wow, kitten, 16 weeks already?! You're zooming along nicely. :-) 28 weeks today here.

And yes, I need to read more about the cord clamping thing. My best friend (coincidentally a midwife) is visiting on Monday so I'll talk to her about it, I think.

Wing, hope the chicken pox scare gets resolved somehow. Must be difficult for you. And fx MiniWing stays put til your midwife is back :-)

Frog, good luck in whatever you choose to do. I can't imagine what you're going though with all the decision-making. xx

Gary, congrats on the scan and yay for team blue!!

Guinea, Baby B has moved from right to left overnight. Most weird having movement and kicks on the 'wrong' side...he's been on the right for ages! Seems to have given him a lease of life as he's barely stopped this morning. Clearly settling in :-)

Oh, I'm rubbish...nice to see you back, waves. I really hope your sickness does one soon. At least the treatment is doing what it can.

Hello - its my last day at work today Smile

Mrs Bri the movements sound good and impressed that you can feel so well - I can't figure out if I've got a head or a bony bum stuck in my left side!

Kitten I think that's the stage where I started feeling much better and was getting very impatient for the next scan! Bet you can't wait!

Wing it all seems like its getting closer for you - I have also taken on board your cord clamping info and also want to make sure that the managed 3rd stage now doesn't happen till all the pulsing has stopped and the cord is clamped.

Tired how's Fern - we need more photos Wink

Waves hang on in there - but glad it seems to be more manageable

Gary does that mean you are going to be hitting the shops now you know your flavour of baby???

Frog really sorry you are going through all this difficulty - I hope you've managed to get some advice about Harmony from people that know about it.

Anyway got a few things to wrap up today at work. Will be quite sad to go - I'm a contractor but I seem to end up in places for ages and have been here for 10 months. That said I can't wait to have some time off - plan for next week is sleep!

MrsBri · 28/03/2013 10:02

Stuck...I have absolutely no clue which way round Baby B is! I guess the harder jabs are feet though, as I think legs are stronger than arms? No idea really though!

Hope you get everything sorted with work :-)

Stuck, more photos on FB Grin

Pineapple80 · 28/03/2013 11:04

Hi all! Just a quick one to say hi and hope all are well.

Baby Pineapple has been doing lots of big rolling, moving, stretching in belly in the last few days! Tummy is making big movements which is funny Grin. Kicks were subtle before, compared to them now! MrsBri - that is funny baby B has changed sides & kicks are all opposite now!

Interesting about the cord clamping Wing. I will read up on it too, a friend of mine did mention this to me too.

Beginning of Easter long weekend for us! Looking forward to lot and rest and time spent with DH Smile

WingDefence · 28/03/2013 11:36

I bet the weather in Oz will be better than it bloomin well is here pineapple - they are predicting a white Easter and freezing temperatures lasting into mid-April! :(

I am pissed off today with DH for various small but annoying reasons.

In other news, having spoken to my DMum, I'm happy that I do have CP immunity and actually I do remember playing a lot with other children who had it because I'd already had it so it was fine. Saved me schlepping in for an emergency GP appt this morning and spending time sitting around playing words with friends twiddling my thumbs in the waiting room.

It gives me an extra incentive to really try with the BFing as then MiniWing will get about 7 days' extra immunity I think. Then if she does get it early on I think the chances are it'll be milder for her.

Of course this is all ignoring if poor DS gets it. I had it really badly apparently (in all orificises, DM said) and if he gets it, I'll be focussing on the baby and I feel guilty already! It wouldn't be the best start for him with a new sister usurping his place in the family as no 1 attention draw, and I'd not be able to look after him 24/7 etc etc.

Still, I know it's all a lot of 'what ifs' - I just pray he doesn't get it this time round... :(

Stuck, enjoy your last day and then Mat Leave woo hoo! MrsBri, even when it is pointed out to me, I have no idea which way MiniWing is lying. Eg right now I reckon it's all different to how she was yesterday but if her head is fixed (a term I'd not heard before as it doesn't mean she's engaged) I don't know if that's possible. One of my other friends had two HBs and the second one took ages as it was an undiagnosed back-to-back labour so that's playing on my mind a bit.

Right, better go x

MrsBri · 28/03/2013 11:36

Tired, Fern is gorgeous. And growing so fast!

tiredteddy · 28/03/2013 11:59

Thanks mrsbri! She so contented, sleeps like a dream and really smiley. We are all totally in love with her.

Wing, so much to think about but tti not ti worry. Fingers crossed DS doesn't catch cp, if he does then it will hopefully be ok. Maybe miniwing will be late and it won't be an issue? Perhaps you'll be the first mum to wish their baby is late Wink

Hooya · 28/03/2013 12:18

Hello all, no time to catch up properly Sad but just wanted to wish everyone a happy relaxing Easter!

somethingwittynot · 28/03/2013 15:06

Sorry i havent been around my phone got cut off. The phone company are incapable of correctly setting up a direct debit it seems.

Henry has reflux and is on gaviscon but its not better and his poo.stinks of vinegar so we have been reffered to the peads. Zac is just zac and just turned 14 months.

How is everyone? Any exciting news?

WingDefence · 28/03/2013 18:27

Right firstly, do not get your hopes up ladies!

DH and I had a big row at lunchtime (over nothing serious) and I ended up sobbing in a huge hormonal mess for half hour then went and laid down in bed over thinking everything and how I was going to to ruin DS's life and I resented MiniWing already and really didn't want another DC (after always not wanting an only child and trying for her for 18 months etc etc).

I then realised I was a little bit 'damp' but thought I'd wet myself (oh the joys of late pregnancy with a DC2) but it was pink so I kept an eye on it while I stayed in the bedroom and ignored DH and DS rested for an hour but have had to change my panty liner twice now.

On top of this I have had some low period pains and a couple of 'ooh' Hmm period pains although not for 25 mins. And I've been feeling MiniWing moving about really low down as if my pelvic floor muscles have been doing odd things all by themselves.

So something may happen, but probably not! I bet I post this time tomorrow and nothing has moved forward!

WingDefence · 28/03/2013 18:28

Oh and DH and I are fine now and DS has gone to his end of term disco and a sleepover. :)

somethingwittynot · 28/03/2013 18:29

Oooooooo

WingDefence · 28/03/2013 18:37

Haha something - I think I'm just desperately symptom spotting like we all did back in the 2ww!

How long ago that all seems now Grin

MrsBri · 28/03/2013 18:42

Ooh, indeed, Wing! I'll keep my fingers crosses that baby is on the way! :-)

OP posts:
Kittenkatzen · 28/03/2013 18:50

Ooooh come on miniWing, time to come out and meet the world!! Glad you're feeling better wing - sometimes a mini-meltdown is just what we need...like hitting the reset button Smile

something poor little Henry, hope they fix up his vinegary bum soon, sounds nasty Grin

tiredteddy · 28/03/2013 19:05

Ooh fingers crossed something's happening WING, perfect timing too if DS is out on a sleepover. Wink

WingDefence · 28/03/2013 19:13

Yes it would be good timing wouldn't it! Don't worry all, I'll let you lot know if anything starts occurring properly :)

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 28/03/2013 19:16

Ooo fingers crossed Wing, will be thinking of you - keep us updated. How lovely that you won't need to think about when to go to hospital but can stay in your nest Smile .

I'm actually in hospital atm. Started getting contractions today - intense, not painful as such but felt more than Braxton Hicks and lasting longer. I rang the hospital as I'm only 36 weeks and they have decided to keep an eye on me overnight, primarily because my polyhydramnios has got worse (so I'm told) and that carries some extra risks. Been here since 4pm and I'm starving now! Going to go for a wander in search of food soon I think.

tiredteddy · 28/03/2013 20:02

Well you must keep us posted too GUINEA, hope miniguinea stays in a little longer and that you are ok x

WingDefence · 28/03/2013 20:05

Oh my goodness Guinea! You are in a good place for them to keep an eye on you and MiniGuinea :) Could this turn into a double birth thread...?!

(Nothing happening here though.)

MrsBri · 28/03/2013 20:07

Oh, good luck Guinea. I hope everything is OK and baby hangs on in there a bit longer.

OP posts:
somethingwittynot · 28/03/2013 20:10

Oooo double birth!! I remeber the excitement when my waters broke!

Re henrys reflux the hospital called and henry has an appt on tuesday very impressed as the dr made the refferal yesterday xx

GaryBuseysTeeth · 28/03/2013 20:41

Good luck Guinea, hope you find some food soon.

Hope something happens overnight Wing, would be hilarious to see your DS's face if he came home from a sleepover to a new baby!

something, that's nice & quick! Hope they can help him.

Stuck, hope you're putting your feet up tonight!

Nothing much happening here, PIL are stealing taking DS for a few nights from tomorrow, usually I throw him at them & look forward to time away to recharge but since getting upduffed I hate the idea of being away from him. Hmm

Bought this suit for baby, but not buying anything else new for him!
