redwellybluewelly · 13/02/2013 18:33

I'm sorry but thats just made me proper LOL - and my husband, and then my toddler who laughed because mummy and daddy were laughing. It also reminded me to do those damn pelvic floor exercises!

I love it! That has made me chuckle loads! And then redwelly mentioning the pelvic floor too! Poor you sunny! But as you say, you are working for a nice company!
I also believe that baby brain is a very real condition- definitely suffer from it myself. I'd also like to back up what your boss said- I don't think mine went back to normal after having DS!Grin

Sarah2506 · 13/02/2013 21:21

Oh man that has made my day!!!! I can't believe you pitched up a day early!

MrsBri · 13/02/2013 21:29

Ha ha, Sunny, that is priceless!

Littlemissexpecting · 13/02/2013 22:40

Ha ha sunny that is brilliant. Your boss is much more understanding than mine!
Lexi are the rug doctors any good? When they don't smell of wet dog!

suzyrut · 14/02/2013 08:49

ah sunny that is brilliant, you should show it to the check in people along with your bandaged finger later today, they'll have to upgrade you now! xx

SunnyL · 14/02/2013 10:15

Apparently my medical condition is catching though. The MD things he might have it. Apparently it might also explain his massive consumption of sweeties recently.

Sarah2506 · 14/02/2013 11:14

Ok it's Valentines Day. I really think I should make an effort. Is anyone else with me? For 5 months DH has been treated to a daily parade of bad underwear, jogging bottoms and manky T shirts as soon as in from work, the bed being somewhere for sleep to the exclusion of all other activities, and frankly good luck overcoming the baracade of pillows between us anyway. He's a lovely bloke and very understanding, but I really feel like I should make an effort this evening. Honestly the closest he gets to a good wife at the moment is the rather excellent channel 4 programme...

MrsBri · 14/02/2013 13:17

Well...I'm on the way to the labour ward for a check up as I've got a little pink discharge on my knickers, not when wiping. Standard procedure apparently. Bit daunting though.

Luckily there's a drop in centre to see a midwife in Birkenhead where I work, so I've been there and heard the heartbeat, so that's a good thing.

I'll update you all later.

Hawkmoth · 14/02/2013 13:19

Good luck MrsBri.

suzyrut · 14/02/2013 13:54

Good luck mrsBri, I completely sympathise with the terror, I hope everything goes ok xx

sarah I would love to help by dh is getting a romantic evening watching me do the online shopping! xx

suzyrut · 14/02/2013 13:54

but not by!

forgetmenots · 14/02/2013 15:34

Good luck mrsbri - I'm sure all will be fine but will be thinking of you, anything like that is bound to be scary.

MrsBri · 14/02/2013 15:36

Phew, all ok. Baby's heartbeat nice and strong :-) No obvious cause for it they could see, so just one of those things.

Wondering if I should stay off work tomorrow to rest up though? Only had one day off so far.

AlohaMama · 14/02/2013 15:43

Great news mrsbri glad all is well.

forgetmenots · 14/02/2013 16:34

Great news mrsbri you must be so relieved - just do whatever feels right tomorrow :)

MrsBri · 14/02/2013 16:42

I am...I'm glad I got checked out, but being sent straight away to the labour ward was scary in itself.

At least DH has now heard baby's heartbeat. So there is an upside!

suzyrut · 14/02/2013 17:18

Hi Mrs Bri,

Really pleased everything's ok. Just on the staying off work thing, I have tried to rest up after my bleeds. I know there's probably nothing in it but psychologically it makes me feel like I'm doing everything possible, especially when they can't tell you what's caused the problems in the first place.

xxx

MrsBri · 14/02/2013 17:27

Thanks, suzy. I may stay off...worst timing ever with this weekend's move though. :-/

massagegirl · 14/02/2013 17:52

Agree with Suzy take time off. I've been off this week due to very high blood pressure, it's gone down now but I chose to rest up. Good luck with the move, just direct from the side lines!

AmIGoingMad · 14/02/2013 18:25

Only now getting chance to check mn. Poor you mrsbri. I'm so glad that everything's ok! It must have been horrible. As everyone's already said- make sure you rest up and remember that you and little one ate more important than anything else. Sending hugs x

Sarah- know what you mean. DH had surprised me with a night away in lovely hotel bless him. With all he's had to put up with the last few months too. Am now having a lie down I. An attempt to reenergise so that I can be at least somewhere near scintillating company this evening at dinner and beyond! Btw- I live the Good Wife! Haven't met anyone else who watches it just me, DH and my mum as I recommended it!

Aloha- nice to see you on names thread! Just heading over to check those out now!

Littlemissexpecting · 14/02/2013 19:16

Poor you mrs bri. Def think you should take it easy tomorrow and get as much help as you can with move.
Does anyone's bump has a name yet? We're struggling so glad we have a few more months to decide!!

DontmindifIdo · 14/02/2013 19:17

MrsBri - Stay off tomorrow. Put your feet up and take care of yourself.

MrsBri · 14/02/2013 19:54

I've asked HR if I can work from home as I don't fancy the long commute. See what they say.

I'm not ill, so I'd just be bored rigid at home doing nothing!

I do have a banging headache now though :-/
