DH is on a forum for dads who have all recommended the Motorola video monitor. Going shopping for prams tomorrow so will take a look. Really wish no one had recommended the video monitors cos they're twice the price and I'm such a thrifty person by nature it's going to hurt me to buy one.

My naughty dreams appear to be tailing off and my drive to pounce on DH has slackened much to his upset. My pregnancy book did suggest some babies get put to sleep by mummy's orgasm. Clearly my baby hasn't read that book. Most off putting Grin

Sarah2506 · 12/03/2013 16:44

I like Seraphina by the way, but Sera def too close to Sarah! Think I have heard it recently- maybe the lead in Beautiful Creatures?

Sarah2506 · 12/03/2013 16:48

Sunny, in light of the recent conversation here when I read 'DH is on a forum for...' I really wondered what might come next. A forum for... Men who aren't getting any? or men who wonder if they ever will again? Or men who would like to know if the woman they married will forever live in track suit bottoms or PJs? Or men who wonder what happened to the woman they married?!

SunnyL · 12/03/2013 17:01

Ha ha Sarah. Not seen what he has been posting but I know he's been reading this forum when I leave the iPad lying around! His forum is called Commando Dad. He is under the illusion that if he treats this like a military exercise nothing can go wrong. I'm just going along with it for fear of scaring him too much. After all as I keep being reminded I promised him it would take ages to get pregnant and we'd definately get another ski holiday in this year, be able to celebrate his birthday while watching F1 at Silverstone, get drunk at all the various weddings we've been invited to etc etc!

forgetmenots · 12/03/2013 17:07

Ah thanks learnermummy - wasn't sure, had assumed I would be in any high category with all my wobbly bits!

pinkbear82 · 12/03/2013 17:45

Ok, in light of some of the reveals I kinda now have to share this story......
For the first time in a while yesterday morning things started to get a bit more than a kiss and a cuddle. All going well. Then DP suddenly does an odd jerky movement bringing his leg up and kneeing me in the fanjo, try to ignore it, happens again.
What the hell are you doing?! Mood killed..... Our ginger ninja of a cat had taken a fancy to sticking his claws in to DPs foot!
So after that palaver think I'll stay we'll away from trying anything more Grin

Sarah2506 · 12/03/2013 17:58

Why why why would he do that?!?!

redwellybluewelly · 12/03/2013 18:00

My bump is like a bench, or one of those impassable horizontal overhang on a cliff face. My dc1 I carried high bit this one is so low its untrue and it is getting very very difficult to sit all day. Currently in the bath.

MW said I need a proper bump support, I'm meant to be working another eleven weeks! Although I am going down to PT at end of April.
Sunbeam it sounds like SPD or baby lying on a nerve.

Dh is currently getting by on handjobs and blowjobs we've done the deed so to speak 3 times during this pregnancy but like someone said my hubby starts to wonder when it's been a week or so hehe

AlohaMama · 12/03/2013 18:14

In the spirit of revealing all, sex as usual for us, but let me just say orgasm = one painful BH. If that gets worse it might start putting me off. Dh v disappointed I never seemed to get the much talked about increase in libido that pregnancy can bring about. Mind you, last pregnancy I had low lying placenta and sex was banned by doc from wk 9 till 32. Suffice to say this time round dh is grateful for anything he can get Grin

MrsBri · 12/03/2013 18:20

Libido increase?! Mine went AWOL as soon as I was pregnant...I'm only assuming it will make its way back to me at some point! And what with random bleeding, I can't bring myself to have sex.

Weird after all the shagging to get pregnant!

I'm loving the names people have. I'm not sharing ours for now :-)

Oh, and sitting is so bloody uncomfortable. Love getting home to go onto my left side. The train is the most uncomfortable seat EVER! I fidget so much. I think other people get pissed off with me!

pinkbear82 · 12/03/2013 18:22

Hahaha all the suffering we're putting our men thru!!

Just thinking about it gives me a twinge down there and not the kinda twinges 50 shades of gray talk about - more a protective 'get your knee away from me' twinge! Wink

cyclecamper · 12/03/2013 18:55

We're still doing it occasionally - not much less than usual, but that isn't that frequent! The main problem is the swollen bits that make it all a bit odd.

I've got my GTT next week - I have it because I'm 42 and therefore geriatric Grin.

MW this afternoon - everything good Smile.

pinkapples · 12/03/2013 19:06

Glad everything was ok at the mw cycle Grin

I had an increase at about 16-22 weeks but by increase I mean waking up at 4am to give hubby a handjob (not sure whether that was increase in drive or just the fact I was awake and didn't have anything else to doGrin) it's died off now tho and tbh I want all the sleep I can get (which is not much at the moment)

redwellybluewelly · 12/03/2013 19:16

I do as and when but as cyclecamper says the swollen bits make it ruddy painful during and also the day or two after. He did try it on tonight bless him but after a full day at work, and then doing a weeks food shop plus a baby thats gone bonkers I'm afraid he's got no chance

pinkbear82 · 12/03/2013 19:44

Hahaha pinkapples I'm sure your other half doesn't mind you not having anything else you can think of doing!!

Ah ladies u do all make me giggle!

Sunbeam18 · 12/03/2013 20:19

Loving the revelations! We have been as normal too, with a hiatus for the first few weeks when DP was worried about the baby watching or being harmed! Like it could see down there at a few weeks' gestation, or in fact at any time! Normal practice may now be suspended though with the SPD - midwife advice was to try to keep my legs parallel!!!
Thanks for all the advice on that. Midwife thinks it sounds like SPD and suggested a few things but basically the message was that it's just something to put up with. Will push for Physio referral if it persists.

AmIGoingMad · 12/03/2013 20:49

These revelations are making me laugh- and making me think that poor DH is a bit hard done by! Everything you've written Sarah could definitely be me! I swore I'd make more of an effort this pregnancy but I'm just so tired all of the time. I go to bed with good intentions then just pass out and probably snore- attractive hey?!

Olimoss · 12/03/2013 20:53

This is all brilliant stuff! I've been feeling as far from sexy as it is possible to be the whole time. Boyfriend is being (mostly) supercool about it all as long as the occasional charity handjob is on offer....seems fair.

SunnyL · 12/03/2013 20:58

On the musical babies I think I can safely say I'm having a samba fan. Just been to Zumba for the first time in a few weeks and baby was going mental during all the latin American tracks but had no reaction whatsoever to the pop tunes.

forgetmenots · 12/03/2013 21:19

I must be mental - poor DH doesn't know what's hit him. Definite libido jump! I've told him it will keep him comfort in the (very) lean months to come!

AmIGoingMad · 12/03/2013 21:30

A revelation on an entirely less exciting topic- I've just started wearing the bravado vest tops I bought for breast feeding DS ( which all went a bit wrong so this is the first time I've worn them) to bed and they are the most comfortable and also supportive things ever. I love love love them!Smile

Littlemissexpecting · 12/03/2013 23:01

My DH is definitely hard done by, I really should make more effort but I'm sleeping so badly at night that I'm going to bed early and don't even hear DH get into bed!
Had antenatal class tonight, we were talking about labour so now terrified that its getting closer and I really need to think about these things.

Mawgatron · 13/03/2013 06:28

Oh god, all you sexually active ladies are putting me to shame! DH comes to bed about 4 hours after me, and I get up for work about 2 hours before he does. No chance! Not that I am feeling particularly sexy right now. Def need to make a bit more effort...

AmIGoingMad · 13/03/2013 06:39

Dreamt about going into labour last night. Not my best dream in ages that's for sure!
Have a good day all!
