Just spoken to MW, if no bigger movements in the next 24 hours I have to go in, we have a pg wellbeing suite apparently where you can be monitored so will head up there tomorrow lunchtime if I haven't felt baby as much as I did the past few weeks. I'd already tried hot/cold drinks, chocolate, sweets, lying on left, lying on right etc. My bump has suddenly got huge so she suspects baby has moved so his/her back is to my tummy and kicks are all going towards my back where I can't feel them.

I'm pleased I've started keeping my notes in the car though!

SunnyL - I went to M&S. I made an appointment first for a maternity fitting so I didn't have to hang about. They have good advice on their website about when you should get fitted at different times. You don't have to follow their guidelines (as I'm sure it's also a ploy to get you to spend more) but its an interesting read.

pinkbear82 · 26/02/2013 16:19

Red - glad you've called and I'd kinda figured you'd have tried all the tricks to jiggle bubs.
Hope bubs starts to have a good old wiggle to let you know it's sorry for being stubborn and making you worry!

SunnyL · 26/02/2013 17:45

Well I had a day in London to kill today so thought i'd take a look along Oxford Street for maternity clothes. In Edinburgh the shops have a few things you can try on but online is the main route. My logic of trying the shopping capital of the UK was clearly flawed though. Aside from a few random things in Mothercare i found nada, zip, zilch. Back to online shopping for me.

learnermummy · 26/02/2013 18:27

There really are very little maternity clothes in the shops aren't there SunnyL Sad.

I'm off to first pilates class tonight and am feeling quite windy so it could be a disaster Blush.

pinkapples · 26/02/2013 18:43

Don't know where my post went it'll probably pop up in a bit Grin

Glad you've spoke to someone red I'm 25 weeks today and mainly feel what I think is baby in the evening as I'm on my feet all day near enough I probably shake her to sleep all day x

peardrop2 · 26/02/2013 18:55

Does anyone know where I can buy good, seamless over the bump pants without digging into my savings account?

AlohaMama · 26/02/2013 18:59

red hope you get some reassuring movement soon, but glad you spoke to the mw.

have fun at pilates learner hope you don't embarrass yourself!!

AmIGoingMad · 26/02/2013 19:38

I've been really wiped out the last few days and it looks like I've missed loads!

Sarah and Pinkbear- sorry you were having rubbish days but glad that things are looking up a bit now.

Redwelly I hope that little one starts to do some jigs for you soon and am glad the mws have been good and reassuring when you've phoned.

I got measured in bravissimo and they were fab!

We had Motorola monitor last time and it was fine but always told us a different temperature to our gro egg. Also the batteries pretty much dies this Christmas- not bad after 2 yrs use though I suppose!

My brain really seems to have turned to mush at the moment. I'm struggling to finish sentences and keep forgetting what I'm doing/ what I've just done. I think some of my classes think I've totally lost the plot!

Maw- what can I say but milliband? Oh dear! Made me chuckle!Grin

learnermummy · 26/02/2013 22:33

peardrop2 · 27/02/2013 04:48

Awww, sparkle :-)

Baby B generally doesn't get going until I've been up a good while. I start with wriggles and movement during my train journey, so after 7.

I have a strange pattern of movement...manic day / quiet day / manic day. With certain times of day both days, but extra when manic and lighter movement when quiet. Odd. I didn't get much kicking yesterday, unless DH had his hand on my belly, when Baby B would kick me / him loads. Loads of 'washing machine' yesterday though.

Isn't it amazing feeling baby move? Do second or more timers still find it amazing, or are you more blase about it, having gone through it before?

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hope your baby perks up today, redwelly.

Littlemissexpecting · 27/02/2013 07:58

Morning everyone!
I am so tired today, been a long week already.
No definite pattern of movement yet here, he's normally pretty active around 9pm but not last night. Not sure if he's moved as top of my bump hurts more last couple of days.

pinkbear82 · 27/02/2013 08:56

I have just drunk a glass of what can only be described as pure sugar. What a way to start the day! I imagine a huge sugar slump will follow shorty! It's bad enough having bloods done but two lots two hours apart is pushing it a bit!!

Red - hope today brings lots of wiggles for you

xx

bshorty · 27/02/2013 09:03

When I had mine pinkbear it took all my efforts not to throw that sugary stuff right back up again. Nothing has made me feel that sick before, not even vodka.

bshorty · 27/02/2013 09:06

Good luck today redwelly

learnermummy · 27/02/2013 09:41

Sounds awful pinkbear, am dreading mine which is in 4 weeks time.

I'm afraid to admit I am a little bit more blase about movement MrsBri, and am usually too busy to properly even acknowledge it. It's nice when the boys can feel it though, they get excited for me!

suzyrut · 27/02/2013 10:49

Morning ladies, phew has taken me nearly as long to catch up with what everyone's been up to on here as reading my emails after having 4 days off work!

Hope that your test goes well today pinkbear and that you have some more movement or things go ok at the maternity unit redwelly.

mrsbri I think I was getting blase about movements until a couple of days ago until they've got so strong that I can now actually watch them from the outside, am trying not to think about the Alien movies!

I was shopping yesterday and was a) offered a seat outside John Lewis and b) let in first in a queue so must be looking very pregnant now!

pinkapples · 27/02/2013 11:26

No real pattern for me yet either littlemiss I get a bit in the evenings when I'm sitting still watching tv but nothing yesterday however I was major busy yesterday so will blame that Grin hope she gets going soon

It certainly made me feel quite icky! And then when i went back for the second round of blood taking my vains kept collapsing and I became a human pin cushion who now has bruises up and down both arms!! But all done now so fingers crossed. Grin

With movements for me bubs has manage to get in a position where something is sticking under my ribs and that certainly felt when a wiggle is taking place. Evening time is the most activity but certainly getting stronger. Gave the cat a bit of a fright last night as she was about to curl up on my bump and bubs did a massive kick!

Hope everyone's ok today xx

learnermummy · 27/02/2013 12:47

pinkbear when do you get the results of the GTT?

grainmum · 27/02/2013 14:32

Hello everyone - redwelly hope it's going ok today. Also I think I'm getting quite a lot of Braxton Hicks. Just read that it can be related to dehydration - so increased my fluid intake. Also wondering if stress etc could have an impact? Trying to stay chilled as much as possible...

pinkbear82 · 27/02/2013 16:24

Learner - I hate having bloods taken and was concentrating on keeping calm I forgot to ask!! I'm guessing if I haven't heard I can phone late Friday or Monday just to know all is ok. My friends a nurse in a+e and she says it's so funny waiting when probably the results are ready at the lab on the same day!

Grain - interesting about stress and dehydration combo - explains why I have days I get a lot of cramping! Must drink more.....

Have felt really wiped out since the tests this morning. Fell asleep on the sofa and have woken up to find the bloody dog has chewed one of my slippers and only half of it left now!! Grrrr
