No leaking here..... Yet!

learnermummy · 25/02/2013 22:21

Sorry to hear about shitty days Sarah and pinkbear.
I'm finding walking can be a bit tough already too Mrs Bri although my toe is still very sore from dropping the le creuset on it over a week ago!
Watched the penguins too Maw, so cute, and glad no dead ones this week - i was blubbering last week.
Oh, and no colustrum here...

pinkbear82 · 25/02/2013 22:34

Thanks everyone - much appreciated
Xx

peardrop2 · 26/02/2013 03:18

Pinkbear - you'd be surprised how strong babies are in the womb. I know it's really hard not to worry. I worry all the time about how my emotions are affecting my baby. If it helps I know someone who is very ill in hospital and unconsciously had to have a c-section at 31 weeks. She's been hospitalised during the whole pregnancy but baby is well and perfectly normal despite everything she is still going through. Whenever I feel worried I try and remember that situation as it reminds me how strong our little ones are Wink

Mawgatron · 26/02/2013 06:40

Ow learner! Those pans are bloody heavy!

Errrrm, anyone else having filthy dreams? Last night, mine involved me being touched up by ed milliband in a random flat, getting really aroused and then rushing into a room to masturbate privately only to realise my (lady) friend was sitting in there watching me...wtf? That will teach me for falling asleep to the news...

Sunbeam18 · 26/02/2013 07:26

Maw that is hilarious!!!!

Holy shit, Maw, there's dirty dreams, then there's dirty dreams involving Ed Miliband! Ewww :-/ If it had to be a Miliband, at least choose David next time!! :-)

And no, just weird dreams here. Very bizarre one last night that although I remember, kind of, it is too bizarre to put to paper!

And I know, last week I sobbed through the penguins, causing DH to say my eyes were broken! It was too sad. :-( Those programmes are great. And David Tennant has the perfect narrator's voice too.

I've dropped almost everything I own so far, learner, but thankfully nothing that heavy, or anything which has hit my feet in general. I spilt ANOTHER drink last night. Poor DH spends so much time clearing up after me. I'm a total liability! And the floor is so far away too :-/

I wore my trainers for my walk today, which eased things slightly. Made my right heel bleed though, so I have to wear socks from now on.

Oh, and no leakage from my boobs so far. I've not tried squeezing though. Maybe I'll try later. :-) I did buy breast pads on Sunday though, so I'm ready for it!

Anyone else wishing they could afford to finish at 29 weeks? With holidays etc, I could finish about a week today if I was doing that. Sigh!

pinkbear82 · 26/02/2013 08:30

Thanks peardrop. And your right, there are some in far worse situations and thankfully bubs seem to be ok for them.
I hope your friend is OK and can enjoy her little miracle once she's healed. x

redwellybluewelly · 26/02/2013 08:47

peardrop I hope your friend recovers soon

I'm still not happy about babies pattern of movements, I have a very busy morning at work and so I am going to get through that and count kicks (I know they don't usually advise it) then either ring MW near home or ring up labour ward which is a mile or so from work.

Good luck redwelly.

Almost passed out giving a presentation last night. Time to slow down a bit I think. In a couple of weeks anyway. Was a bit scary, going down a black tunnel and full on face sweats! Sure I would have been fine, there were six GPs in the room (looking worried)...

peardrop2 · 26/02/2013 09:39

Thanks everyone but she's not a friend just someone I've come in contact with. Just thought I'd share a small bit of her story to help those worrying about their health or emotions affecting bubs in the womb!

Sunbeam18 · 26/02/2013 09:44

Red what is making you worry? How much kicking should we be feeling? My placenta is anterior and I've been told I might not feel much until 25 weeks (am 24 today). Am feeling movement a few times a day, but certainly not constantly. What is normal?

redwellybluewelly · 26/02/2013 10:07

Sunbeam - my first pg resulted in lack of movements which transpired to be baby in severe distress so I am somewhat anxious this time around, its not something most people would be told to worry about but MW said that with me if I am worried I should trust my instincts. Week or so ago baby was doing loop de loop but now very very few movements - maybe three tiny kicks since I woke up at 7.

Everyone is different but I was told usually its from 26-28 weeks onwards that they expect you to feel regular movements

LexiLexi · 26/02/2013 10:30

Redwelly hope everything is ok with baby. Sunbeam the advice I've had from the Midwife & friends is that it's about getting to know your own baby's pattern of movements & if in doubt don't hesitate to seek advice. Last weekend, we had a late night out & baby was very quiet the next morning, cue mild panic followed shortly by blubbing from me, which seemed to wake baby up!

Mrs Bri I have become clumsy of late too, especially in the kitchen. Hope you toe heals up quickly, learnermummy- on your advice, will definitely take extra care around the Le Cresseut...

LexiLexi · 26/02/2013 10:32

Sorry redwelly cross post, I think you've summed it up better than I did!

Sunbeam18 · 26/02/2013 10:35

I'm sorry to hear that red and can understand your worry. I hope all is ok and that the little one is just having some chill out time x

learnermummy · 26/02/2013 11:21

Sorry to hear about your problems in your first pregnancy red must make you very anxious this time. Def trust your instincts and badger the midwife as much as you like this time.

Sarah2506 · 26/02/2013 12:19

If you fancy a laugh there is an article about DH and I on page 49 of Woman's Own. I am actually mortified at the misquotes but the photo used of me makes me look exceptionally thin:-)

SunnyL · 26/02/2013 12:26

Hi All

i can report doing long haul flights overnight is flipping exhausting. Made worse by the stupendously fat woman who sat behind and kept shouting at me if i tried to put my seat back cos her massive belly filled the space. I'm flipping 6 months pregnant beeyatch!! Ok i was very British and didnt say it but thought it a lot.

Made myself feel better with a HUGE portion of eggs benedict.

SunnyL · 26/02/2013 12:28

Ooh also - who on here has had a bra fitting? Where did you go? Its a toss up for me between an underwear shop and a builders merchant for some scaffolding. Theyre HUGE! Although DH did enquire if they could stay around post pregnancy ;-)

pinkbear82 · 26/02/2013 14:32

I thought I posted earlier.... Clearly brain is working well today!

Red hope you've called the midwife and all is well. Mine said they would be far happier to do checks then to have a mum to be worried. She did say they would probably suggest having something very cold first, like ice cream, to see if that got bubs moving. But in the long run to call if at all unsure.

Sunny - I went to debenhams about 2 weeks ago and got fitted, it's made such a difference to have proper support - my boobs are far less painful now Grin

Much better day today for me - DP is out so I've spent the morning on the phone trying to get a few things sorted and haven't cried on anyone yet!! Wink

Got my glucose test tomorrow, hate bloods being taken twice in one morning and not being able to eat sounds like full on torture to me!!

Right, now just to get the stupid dog to stop trying to eat the cat! Always something to sort...
