Juniper I am all about the fish today. Isn't it odd? Couldn't have eaten it if you had paid me a couple if weeks ago!

BinarySolo · 06/02/2013 18:43

juniper maybe you could order some 'fish' from these guys

Not bought the frozen stuff but had a meal in the restaurant years ago when I lived in Milton Keynes. The prawns and duck were amazing.

jennimoo · 06/02/2013 18:49

Phew, caught up!

So sorry Jm.

I'm feeling really sick this week, although slightly better today. 12 week scan just 8 days away! And I have mini eggs too :)

Eek3 - I said the same thing about a card pregnant women could show to get the food they want on Monday, but I thought it should also get you to the front of the queue!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 06/02/2013 19:15

Looks like its been a crappy day for a lot of people. Think my 9mo is teething and nothing was keeping her happy today, I actually had to just stick her in the Jumparoo (crying) for 5 mins whilst I left the room. Felt bad but needed to have a moment alone. Confused

I had a bueno yesterday and it was tasty, only had a galaxy today and it didn't quite cut it. All I can think about is various crisps and dreaming of a mobile shop in the area. I'd left the buggy in the car which DH took to work so we were stranded with no crisps Blush

CheeseStrawCraving · 06/02/2013 19:25

Choc fudge kitkat. Nomnomnom. Still not as good as peanut butter kitkat.

Creamtea1 · 06/02/2013 19:57

Oh peanut butter kit kat is immense..must get one of them now. Right now is my most sickest feeling part of the day - far too long since afternoon snack and waiting for dinner to cook (incorporating jacket potatoe after earlier mentions)
Another thing noticed today - am so ITCHY! Especially on my legs, cannot stop itching!
A hello too to binarysolo I remember we were on the December bfp bus together :) I'm due 5th sept but think that will be pushed back after scan on 25th

SGJ · 06/02/2013 20:01

Was starving before but having just done a very impressive poo of Creamtea proportions, I am now so ravenous that I could eat my own arm. BAGELSBAGELSBAGELSANDSNICKERS

Eeeknumber3 · 06/02/2013 20:13

Sorry creamtea it was me that planted the seed for your jacket potato lust. Guess what, they didn't have them at lunch, I must have looked murderous, as the poor boy looked terrified and muttered something about chips also being potato-ish. Had to settle for a chicken wrap with chips! Harrumph! Still feel hacked off regarding my parents, who seem to have now made themselves unavailable to speak, so feck it! In fact, double feck, I am going to treat myself to a glass of red tonight...sorry if that offends anyone, but my sanity calls for it...I remember once being quite shocked when the obstetrician who conducted my nuchal in pregnancy no.1 said, 'don't stop drinking, one glass every few days is not going to hurt and will positively assist your mood'! He also told me he had encouraged his wife to do the same and they had 5 kids! Shock

Creamtea1 · 06/02/2013 20:13

Envy that may have to surrender poo crown to SJG !
I hope you practised your breathing Grin

SGJ · 06/02/2013 20:18

It was very pleasing! As is my dinner - bagel with poached eggs (the brainy kind), homemade cheese sauce and green veg on the side. Hooray!

Eeeknumber3 · 06/02/2013 20:21

Oooo SGJ that bagel sounds fabulous, must try! I am having chicken cacciatore with cous cous, green beans and possible some garlic bread! Bout ready now, hmmm, hmmm

Eeeknumber3 · 06/02/2013 20:25

Bought a little unisex red duffle hooded snow suit today in local hospice shop for 20p and it's like new, intended not to buy anything early, but could not resist!

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 06/02/2013 20:48

Tmi alert - my bum hole is really itchy.

Weight wise I have lost 4lb but I think that was Xmas greed and alcohol.
Today I have had
1 banana
1 tin fruit salad
1 large hog roast baguette
2 packets hula hoops - nausia related cure
Several heros chocolates
Beef stir fry with rice
Orange

Reading your needs for sweet things is not turning me on at all. Marmite however........... It has replaced my ginger tea obsession.
And I absolutely can't understand why you are all able to have milk based cereal breakfasts. The thought of milk makes me gag!

Creamtea1 · 06/02/2013 20:50

eek I can report the jacket potatoe really hit the spot :) thanking you

And the snowsuit sounds a bargain!

flipflump · 06/02/2013 20:58

Am I the only one struggling with food? I'm the least fussy person normally. All I can stomach is bananas, yogurt, crisps and toast - not the diet of champions!! I'm 9 weeks and becoming more fussy each day. Drinking gallons of squash and the odd water - its just not me. Also, anyone else having wind issues, oh my goodness my husband is horrified - I stink Smile

BinarySolo · 06/02/2013 20:58

Hi Creamtea. I remember you too.

Had a lovely roast dinner which I then threw up half an hour after eating! I seem to have developed some sort of extreme chocolate deficiency, which I'm working hard on rectifying. Iirc I had it with my last pregnancy too. My marmite and cucumber sandwich obsession has returned too.

I think the itchiness is dry skin. Good excuse to buy a posh moisturiser.

BinarySolo · 06/02/2013 21:02

I see your wind flipflump and raise you diarrhoea. If you think the wind's bad now, just wait until you've given birth and everything's, erm, looser . . .

kipsonline · 06/02/2013 21:10

Sweet chilli tofu stir fry tonight.mmmmm...for some reason, this week it all has to be spicy!!!

flipflump · 06/02/2013 21:26

Ok Binary, let's not tell my husband that little nugget of information! So unladylike, ha

CheeseStrawCraving · 06/02/2013 21:38

rosy just lmao at the first line of your message, even DH looked up from the sopranos to see what was so funny. Hehehehehe!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 06/02/2013 21:49

Itchy nipples!!!Shock

andadietcoke · 06/02/2013 22:01

Can I have a bit of hand holding/reassurance please? I'm in Munich with work and have tripped over my suitcase and landed face down. My left arm went across me and I think my right knee and left elbow seem to have taken the brunt of it but I'm so scared. There's no point ringing maternity triage because I'm not back until Friday night. I ache all over but haven't had cramps any worse than the stretching ones I've been having. I know at 9 weeks they should be well protected by the pelvic bone but with twins my uterus is supposed to 4-6 weeks ahead of a singleton pregnancy so I'm more worried.

Can't stop crying and thinking the worse and then being cross at myself for being clumsy. DH is off to the states on Friday so I won't see him for the next ten days and I just feel scared and so lonely. Sad

amiready · 06/02/2013 22:05

yup loads of diarrhoea, loads of wind and loads of itching. No nausea at all and boobs have settled.

Isn't it funny how we all have completely different sets of symptoms! Who ever would have thought being terribly itchy was anything to do with being pregnant!!

As for my day - very possible potential breakthrough at work over the contract. Just hoping SOOOOOOOOOOO much that it works out ok. Please God, please God, please God.

Anyone else wondering about having a soft boiled egg? Or are you all sworn off? How strict is everyone being with all these things??

hackneybird · 06/02/2013 22:07

eeek I had a small glass of wine last Friday night when I went out with friends for a meal. I don't have a problem with the occasional drink during pregnancy, when it's with food, even early on.

Most of the time I feel too nauseous for booze and don't fancy it at all, but when I'm feeling better I think I'll do what I did with ds 1 which is have 1 glass of wine, twice a week.

Enjoy it and I hope you feel better soon x

amiready · 06/02/2013 22:08

Sorry andadietcoke just double posted. I can understand you being upset and scared but really don't worry, loads of pg women fall flat on their face/belly all the time (apparently much more than non pg women for some reason) and I have never heard of any baby ever being hurt that way. The womb is designed for protection! Partly I'm sure it's that you're on your own in an unfamiliar place. Lots of hugs. It will all be ok.
