Possibly a touch more facial fur...think I was trying to deny it :-)

Wonder if it does mean boy?

I'm quite hairy generally too, but no hairy line on my belly. I'll add a yet to that though!

I meant to say 'read somewhere I shouldn't use creams...' !

No one warned me about this!

I'm concerned about the moult afterwards too!

Report
forgetmenots · 06/01/2013 00:16

Haha, oh dear, have to say when I did attempt to get rid of my new layer, the bath looked like a furball afterwards... The moult will hopefully be much more gradual Grin

Ooh...just had first pregnant lady nosebleed. I'm sure there will be plenty more now I've started with them!

Collector, yep, bits are more sensitive in pregnancy so waxing hurts more. And there is some evidence that you are less likely to have infections in stitches if you are full muffed than Hollywood, which is why they stopped shaving woman. I guess the hair is there for a reason...

Re the t shirt, it's probably someone trying to be funny/cute, do you have along commute? I must say, one of those "baby on board" badges is much more classy!!!

Nose bleeds started here too, it's all so glamorous being pregnant

Mutley, how old are your older dcs, will you need double or buggy board for them? You might be better waiting and seeing what's available in oz. oh, your going to be having a winter baby while we're all having summer ones!!!! (sorry for obvious stating)

You're so right, Don'tmind, glamorous at every turn! :-/

Interesting re hairy bits as I like to keep mine neat. Think I'll keep it trimmed if it's best not to remove it, for my own sake. I'm not keen on letting it roam free!!

Really need to be productive today. It's so difficult though as I've less energy than the first trimester somehow!

How is everyone today?

massagegirl · 06/01/2013 09:23

I tried to 'neaten' up down below as had really let myself go! Managed to nick myself without realising and then thought I was having spotting... Embarrassing. Think might need to leave it to the professionals.
Agree with the no energy, I've stopped being sick this week and thought I might 'bloom' but just knackered and getting a cold. Does the blooming actually exist?!

MrsBri · 06/01/2013 09:32

Oops, bush trimming fail there, massagegirl! ;-p I wonder if DH would like to do some pruning for me?!

I think the bloom is a myth. I struggle to find the energy for anything these days, it has to be said. I'd rather lounge around.

Which is why I'm going to start aquanatal classes, clearly! Maybe it'll help. Or kill me!

I think it is possible to have a 'bloom'. I've been keeping quiet since there are clearly people on here going through a pretty tough time. I didn't really get morning sickness - just a couple of weeks of naseau. I got over my tired period about 6 weeks ago and have been feeling pretty fabulous since then. Sorry - that probably doesn't help right now but maybe it will give you hope that you might start feeling better soon. I'm 18+3 now.

Also got a fabulous text from my mate at New Year who is 6 months. It was a video of her new dance called 'Oppa Pregnam Style'. If she can dance like a hooligan at 6 months then I'm damn well going to try.

I'm glad the bloom does exist...it gives me hope for number 2!

I think part of my problem is work stress, and the length of my working day. If I didn't have a commute, I'd potentially feel a bit better, I think.

Maybe I'll start to pick up soon :-)

Good to hear about the bloomings. I do feel much better than I did, think its just the addition of cold/chesty cough which is annoying as without it reckon I'd be good. Today is all about fluids and rest to try shake it before work tomorrow.

My due date is June 12th, this will me mine and my dh first child! exciting times ahead! Smile
pregnancy is all going well, over the morning sickness now (touch wood!), but still feeling shattered most of the time! when should i get my energy back?!

The bloom certainly happened with dc1 but this pg is harder in every way so far.

Dh is still refusing to do more than a 50/50 split of night wake ups with dc1 and after a rough night last night I am utterly exhausted. MW said yesterday that I need to get as much rest and sleep as possible but dh just doesnt get it. We were meant to go out today for my birthday but I have no energy and having done a weeks food shop (solo) this morning and a tonne of work to do for tomorrow I dont see rest happening any time soon.

Hi Maisie I'm due on the 12th or 13th with my first too! Very exciting :)
Can't help much about the sickness, I've been lucky and managed to avoid that, hope you feel better soon!

Sunny, I'm the same. I've never had any sickness, and have been feeling pretty great for weeks. I'm 16+5, but crucially don't have any dc taking up my energy! X

Hello ladies! Due end of June, 26 to be exact. Beginning to feel human after terrible sickness Grin

Energy is slowly coming back but still not up to full speed.

Noticing a few things lately. I'm very hairyBlush, far more hairy than last pregnancy. Also my boobs still hurt and seem to be getting even bigger which seems impossible!

Hopefully getting back into the swing of things when i go back to work tomorrow will give me more energy (i work at a nursery school). I think i over indulged alittle over the christmas period - lots of lie ins and afternoon naps! strangely sometimes the more sleep you have the more tired you are! although im sure this is not the case when you already have dc!

I was wondering if anybody has started to feel the "flutter" yet? I havent felt any movement yet - well - not that ive noticed, i dont realy no what im looking for i suppose!

Report
Littlemissexpecting · 06/01/2013 14:41

No flutters here yet, but as you said I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Tbh I'm not expecting to feel anything for a few weeks yet with anterior placenta. Have midwife this week when I'll be exactly 17 weeks so wonder if she will get a heartbeat.
No sickness yesterday yeh!!! Fingers crossed its starting to finally pass touch wood
I'm still exhausted but I think the fluey thing I had over Xmas didn't help. I need to try and get into a proper sleeping routine though as still wide awake at 2am this morning then I spent all of this morning in bed. DH is on nights this weekend so maybe that's not helping

I'm not any hairier than usual and I know I'm having a girl, so there could be something in the gender thing...

Report

Oooh that's interesting Ella! Any other 'yetis' finding out sex? (Even though I'm not I'm still enjoying playing the guessing game!)

Am 19 weeks and been having flutters for past week. Have a posterior placenta and crap stomach muscles so think that helps. Feels like when you have butterflies in your tummy but in one place and singular movements if that makes sense. At my 16 weeks app it took me ages to find heartbeat then she prodded in one place and we could both feel baby move out of way, that was a strong movement and not hd anything like that since.
I had an amnio so the sex of the baby is 100% known, but we haven't asked for it yet... Decisions decisions!
