Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

Hope I havent left anyone out/got wrong details - have just separated out those without an EDD yet (though appreciate until dating scans most of us are just working on dates we have determined ourselves!) will move those into the general populace when they can say an EDD!

Daisy299 · 14/01/2013 16:04

Just checking in occasionally here as I don't want to be tempted to compare symptoms in too much detail.
I have my booking appt tomorrow (5+4). Hope everyone is doing OK!

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 14/01/2013 16:20

creamtea spotting is supposed to be common in early pregnancy. But honestly I don't know how much becomes not normal. Can you ring a midwife and discuss this? My area is quite useless for NHS midwifery services. I'm jealous some of you are having appointments so early. They rang me back today, and my booking in appointment is in 3 weeks! I am already thinking about a doula because of last birth. I'm not brave enough for home birth or it'd be ideal really.

cravingformilk · 14/01/2013 17:15

Hi all, been for my booking in apt today with the GP. He did a examination and found that I was very tender on the left hand side so is sending me for a precautionary scan on Wed to rule out ectopic pregnancy. All being well I then have a midwife booking in apt next week. :-)

Feeling really tired tonight - PJ's already on and a night snuggled on the sofa planned once LO is in bed!

fl0b0t · 14/01/2013 17:21

Hi all! Can I join? I've been over on the TTC #1 thread for the last 17 months. Poas on 9th Jan-nothing. Didn't feel right and poas 13th and got bfp!!

I tried the due date calc (last af started 17th Dec and finished 21st Dec, cycle is short at 28 days max) which gave me 23rd Sept as a due date...is that right? If so.... Hurrah! Equally terrified and excited :) now someone will have to explain all the numbers (4+2 6+4!?) So confused.........

fl0b0t · 14/01/2013 17:25

To add details! I'm 28, married for 3 1/2 yrs.... This is my first (possibly only?).... All very exciting. Need to cancel some stuff I can't do and book a Dr app for Fri if possible.

jennimoo · 14/01/2013 17:27

Hello, cobgrats on BFP !

I'm 7 +1 which means 7 weeks 1 day

Wibblytummy · 14/01/2013 17:28

I definitely agree lotsa about the pets and children knowing things. My cat has been obsessive with me for about a week, desperate to sit on my tummy. He did this for the entire pregnancy with my DS too.
Eek booking in appt booked for 1st of Feb, all feeling rather real now theres a date sat on the calendar! Good luck with yours tomorrow Daisy299 I see on the list you got your BFP the same day and have the same EDD! Our area won't let you have a booking appointment till at least 8 wks though, humph.
I'm not much advice on the spotting creamtea but I think I would probably call the GP office or midwife just to get some reassurance or peace of mind.

Wibblytummy · 14/01/2013 17:32

Hello fl0b0t congrats on your BFP. 4+2 is weeks and days, so 4 weeks and 2 days. This is how your antenatal care will date your pregnancy as you go along. I believe it starts from 1st day of your last AF, so you would be 5wks today I believe.

Wibblytummy · 14/01/2013 17:36

Oops no, 4wks sorry fl0b0t

fl0b0t · 14/01/2013 17:51

Ah ha. Thanks!

No symptoms really apart from my belly feeling massive!! Which is ironic really as my boobs have been sore with pmt really badly this last few cycles!

Actually, I've had a cold so I don't know if that is linked? Also can't sleep, and had some headaches....

Mostly I feel weird as I've been on a diet-just lower cal healthier eating, nothing mad- up until last week so maybe I just feel full! :-)

mummyin9 · 14/01/2013 17:56

Hello

I'm 5weeks 4 days pregnant due Sept 12th 2013. :) Hello all

mummyin9 · 14/01/2013 17:57

Oooops I meant 13th September 2013, typo!! My first. the 13th is a Friday this year too!! Lucky for some!

andadietcoke · 14/01/2013 18:09

Hello mummyin9 and the very lovely fl0b0t. Congratulations!!!! I lost the TTC #1 thread from my active ones but have been meaning to find out if there were any BFPs to be had. Hopefully some of the others might make it into this month too. Yay!

Kittenkatzen · 14/01/2013 18:20

to all the newbies - think we could be going for the biggest AN club ever title here?!

fl0b0t I'm now 5+4 and have been suffering with a sodding cold since what I now know was conception - apparently our immune systems are lowered so our body doesn't reject the foetus, so yep your cold may well be linked and you may be stuck with it a while yet Smile

fl0b0t · 14/01/2013 18:24

Haha, stupid cold! And hello back to dietcoke!

Anyone else on here doing the dryathlon? I am, I wonder if anyone will demand their sponsorship money back?! This thread is going to be huuge!

jm233 · 14/01/2013 18:42

Wibbly- I think my dogs can sense it too, which is why they've been particularly naughty the last few weeks or maybe it's just me being a crazy hormonal lady

YY to getting the jammies on early tonight! I was done with today at about 4 o'clock!

jennimoo · 14/01/2013 18:42

jennimoo · 14/01/2013 18:45

Oops

The pet thing seems to be happening here in a way. Our cat isn't known to be sensitive, and used to like DH and I equally. When pregnant with DD she went right off me and had barely sat on my lap since, what with a newborn there then a wriggly toddler. Since my BFP this time I'm suddenly back in favour! Maybe it's a boy this time...

Babyboo79 · 14/01/2013 18:56

Hello again. I poked my head around the door a little while ago but have been too nervous to join in so far. I'm loving reading everyone's news though.
I'm 5 weeks today and had an early scan this morning due to bad pain on one side. Thankfully all is ok and we even saw a heart beat, incredible!

By the way I'm 33 and this is our first. Please could someone add me to the list? I'm on iPad and haven't worked out copy and paste yet Blush. Other details are BFP 2nd jan, EDD 17th September.

dakomponist · 14/01/2013 19:13

Hi team!

I have had the most awful day morning sickness wise. I managed to get to the doctors this morning for the results of my first round of blood tests. Doctor said my iron level is borderline low but the Pregnacare multivitamins I'm taking ought to fix that.

By the time I got home (5 minute walk) I felt like I could stay wake a moment longer and have been in bed the rest of the day. DP has come home from work and now gone out to our ballroom dancing lesson . I'm sad to miss it but just walking to the kitchen is demanding enough today. I imagine this and the accompanying nausea will all pass eventually though.

I'm self employed so taking the day off work is straightforward but that doesn't stop me feeling guilty. Silly, I know!

ClaryCazalet · 14/01/2013 19:18

Cream tea I had spotting early on in my first pg, usually brown though. I told my gp and was referred for an early scan, everything was fine thank goodness. But it might be worth talking to your gp? Mine told me that spotting on early pg was 'common but not normal' ie it isn't a straightforward thing that happens to everyone but it does affect a significant number of people who go on to have healthy pregnancies.

I am also on my phone, could someone v kindly add in my stats if updating?

ClaryCazalet, 33, bfp 9 Jan, EDD 23 Sept, dc2

fl0b0t it looks like we have the same dates. I'm 4 weeks today.

Babyboo that's so exciting you saw a heartbeat! I remember when we first saw ds on the screen at 7 weeks, he looked like a little hamster. Still does when he's been at the Cheerios!

Very interesting to hear the animal stuff. No pets here unless you count ds who doesn't seem to have noticed anything different yet, except 'mama very tired' which is pretty normal!

Fingers crossed for you jmf.

fl0b0t · 14/01/2013 19:53

Exciting stuff!
I just poas again in case I was wrong- 2 lines came up by the time I'd flushed! :-)

Cat isn't bothered by me any more or less than normal! He loves a cuddle :)

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/01/2013 20:34

Right. Ive got a question. The last three days, about 4 or 5 oclock, Ive developed a sort of niggly, achy pain , low down on the left. I know about ectopic Pg, and Im alert for any other signs, or it worsening, but does anyone else get this? Its usually gone in a few hours, and its not there in the mornings or early afternoons. Does anyone else get this? could it be wind? Im full of gas at the moment, its a bloody nightmare! Ive got the practice nurse phoning me tomorrow with blood results and I will mention it, but ought I to be panicking or phoning someone? Or will time tell and just ignore?
