Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

I've had a similar pain just above my hip yesterday and today and it was wind I think. Was less concerned today as I got it briefly on the other side but it was a bit stabby until I did a massive burp and then it went

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/01/2013 21:08

Crikey, I have blubber, I dont remembr the last time I found a hip! Grin
This is more pubic bone height, about 3 inches to the left. I'm thinking probably a muscle or nerve. Im going to wait till tomorrows blood results, and see what they say. Apparently, another not quite doubled figure could indicate ectopic, so I may be referred to EPAU anyway, I would imagine. Ive had the trapped wind thing, its hell!

KamikazeeKid · 14/01/2013 21:10

Catpuss, thats what I had an confirmed after scan today all ok just prg pains. Still worries me tho! But that's pregnancy for you :)

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/01/2013 21:16

I know! I may well have a nervous break down by 12 weeks! Confused Ive done this twice before, but was 14 years younger, a lot thinner, and time really dulls the memories! Grin

Daisy299 · 14/01/2013 21:30

Wibblytummy, it is really early for a booking appointment! I thought the same. I was expecting it to be a bit later, and sort of hoping so, since my husband is away at the moment. However, the doctor said it was normal to be seen by a midwife 'as soon as possible' so I went with his recommendation. I could have actually skipped the doctor's appointment and seen the midwife earlier, which is crazy when so many people are left waiting for so long.

badguider · 14/01/2013 21:56

can't believe how uncomfortable my lower abdomen is already - i'm hoping it's nothing to worry about but it feels really stretchy and bloaty and uncomfortable all day now... just above my pubic bone and also just inside of both hip bones.... don't think i'll be able to do my normal yoga much longer at all (although running is still fine) I might see about that 'tara lee' video everybody keeps talking about.

Has anybody else got a sore-ish (or more uncomfortable than sore) lower ab?

CarrieJayne · 14/01/2013 22:27

catpuss not sure if it's the same for you, but I have pain there in the evenings and it's constipation for me Blush. I am not normally 'regular' (sorry tmi) but have been since pg and it always seems to correspond with the pain there....

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/01/2013 23:15

Im bunged up too. Lactulose is great, but it gives me chronic wind! I was thinking bowels because its the same time every day and is gone in the morning after lying down. I LOVE this thread. Its so nice to have others in the same boat to talk and compare with. Smile

HettySunshine · 15/01/2013 07:22

I felt sick at work yesterday and I was really happy! Weird what pregnancy does!

Sorry to hear about the uncomfortableness some are feeling. I know it's a bit of a no-brainier but I'm started having bran-based cereal with loads of sugar in the morning and it does seem to help.

My booking appointment is on 8 Feb which will be 8+6 does that seem right?

Hope everyone is having a nice morning! Be careful out there, it's going to be slippy! Smile

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 15/01/2013 07:41

A question for anyone who knows: if I'm 7+3, am I in my 8th week? Because surely you only reach 7 after completing 7 whole weeks. So each day after that should be in the next week, IYSWIM?

jennimoo · 15/01/2013 07:52

zombies yep, you and I both are 7 and a bit weeks pg but in our 8th week of pregnancy.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 15/01/2013 09:19

Thanks jenni that clears up the confusion!

LotsaTuddles · 15/01/2013 09:38

Morning all,

I am really exhausted this morning, even fell asleep on the poor man sitting next to me on the train this morning Blush

I've got that trapped wind thing it's like an uncomfortable pain slightly up and to the right of my left hip bone. DP is not impressed at being treated with his own medicine in bed atm though Grin

I have a drs appointment tomorrow (just my registering at drs appointment) so will bring up that I'm pg then, and hopefully he will be able to sort me out

jemimahpuddleduck · 15/01/2013 09:47

Morning all

I'm off to the docs this afternoon to speak to him about pain in my left side, it's higher up than what others are saying but makes me feel better that I'm not alone, hoping it's trapped wind too but better to be safe I thought as it is quite sharp whennit happens.

Creamtea hope everything is well with you this morning.

Catpuss good luck with your results.

jm233 · 15/01/2013 09:49

My hormones got the best of me today and ended up picking having a great big argument with DH about whether we had enough time to go for our morning coffee Blush
However, I still feel like he should be more tolerant these days, after all, I'm the one with the baby! I think...

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 15/01/2013 10:12

Well. I have just spoken to the surgery. My hCG levels are roughly doubling and it looks like the pregnancy is viable. CRIKEY! The relief!
We have a long way to go yet, but I feel like I can breathe a little!

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 15/01/2013 10:12

Booking appointment on tuesday.

CrikeeThree · 15/01/2013 10:16

I was sick this morning! And... yes...like others.... I felt vaguely relieved!
Very odd feeling. I feel nauseous very often during the day without being sick.
This time, I knew I was going to be sick, but didn't exactly feel 'nauseous'.

Weird, this pregnancy thing!

jm233 · 15/01/2013 10:16

CatPuss that's such great news, you must be so pleased!
Looking forward to the end of next month when all of us fx are out of the woods!

CrikeeThree · 15/01/2013 10:18

How long are people's first appointments with midwife?
I saw the doctor at the weekend, and have my first midwife appt in a few weeks, but it's an hour long!

Don't remember it being so long the other times, but I might just be forgetting things again....

CrikeeThree · 15/01/2013 10:18

Sorry CatPuss Didn't see your post.
That's fab news :-)

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 15/01/2013 10:26

HettySunshine it looks like my booking appointment is at 8+3 weeks. Someone up thread says it is normal in many trusts to not see you until 8 weeks. It all makes sense now why I am not having my booking appointment for ages.

It took me ages to go to sleep last night. I wish I was kept away by wind or other early symptoms. But I was really really worried about the birth already. I was really traumatised last time and I cried every time I thought about the birth for probably 6 months. I think I will bring this up with the midwife at my appointment.

I wasn't in a lot of pain but because I was coping so well I was never deemed to be in active labour. I was in hospital for three days for induction because my water broke. I was never assigned a midwife. I was going to be sent home on the evening of the third day but they decided to do a sweep to speed things along. That's when they found I was fully dilated. An hour later with episiotomy and ventouse DD was born.

It's not the pain that scares me. Problem is I don't seem to have enough contraction pain to be take seriously last time. I am afraid they will fob me off again this time. I have thought about a doula but last night in bed I'm not sure how it will help. I worried they won't even allow me to go into the hospital! I actually thought about asking for a ELCS! It sounds a bit stupid because obviously I coped last time with vaginal birth and I need no time for recovery. I really don't know what to do.

OneLittleToddlingTerror · 15/01/2013 10:28

Sorry for the rant. I hope no one else is having panics already about the birth!

And congrats catpuss.

crikeethree not sure how long is my appointment, but I don't think it will be an hour! The midwives are far too busy for that.

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 15/01/2013 10:28

Hetty. Make plenty of noise. Exagerate. Moo. Wail....

Whyriskit · 15/01/2013 10:39

catpuss that's great news! My booking appt is at 8 + 6 too and scan will be 12 + 6. Seems so long to wait!
