Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

Update! I saw my bean and heartbeat this morning! Thankfully not ectopic but they couldnt check my rh ovary due to too much gas in there! !!??! (shame!) its my rh side thats had the pain.

Fingers crossed now that all continues well.

jennimoo · 14/01/2013 11:22

That's great kamikazee!

Mine is Saturday and planning to tell parents after that if it goes ok. Will probably tell DD too, although not sure how well she'll understand.

jemimahpuddleduck · 14/01/2013 11:36

Morning all

Still no sickness here am 5+1 and starting to worry a little less and thought Belles post yesterday was great about enjoying each day hoping I can do it.

The last few days I have tried something new with regards to settling down for bed and for the last 3 nights it has worked so hope it may work for others to. Previously I would have my phone with me all night looking on here or something else pregnancy related even reading it in bed then would lie awake for hours, what I have triednow is at 9.00pm the phone goes away as does DH's laptop then we watch a light hearted programme for an hour or so in PJ's with hot chocolate then when I have gone to bed I've been out like a light.
This nay sound a bit old and boring but has really helped me.

jemimahpuddleduck · 14/01/2013 11:36

Oops terrible grammar above but you get the idea!

Kittenkatzen · 14/01/2013 11:50

Great news kamikazee! And catpuss fx for your results tomorrow.

jemimah that's a good tip, I might try that tonight - will have to do it on my own though as I'm ready for my bed by about 9pm every night at the moment - DH would think I'd lost it if I suggested hot choc and Pj's for him at that point haha!

hooya that's funny, at least you and your DH can balance each others' mentalling out a bit :o I am definitely the one doing all the mentalling at chez kitten - DH is dreaming up names already and wants to start a budget spreadsheet ooh the excitement Hmm

Ooh so in the pregnancy pack I got from the GP was a copy of the Emma's Diary magazine, and in the front cover was a form that you fill out and take into any Boots or Argos and they give you a free Mum-to-Be pack. We picked ours up on Sunday and it's packed full of lovely exciting free samples of Johnson's baby products, wipes, nappies, stretch mark cream. DH was particularly amused with the free sample of breast pads :o

hackneybird · 14/01/2013 11:58

kitten and tuddles, yep, I am having problems sleeping and also wake up v early. Also generally feeling very wired snd jittery all the time, it's most odd.

puddle and kitten I am also not suffering from sickness which worries me, but what will be will be. *Belle's words were right, but when you've experienced the heartache of miscarriage it is not always easy to be so pragmatic and positive.

I'm very busy at work which is helping to take my mind off it.

jm233 · 14/01/2013 12:14

Morning all! I have to say that I just love-love this thread! I think if I didn't have it/ you all I would have gone absolutely google search crazy by now and probably had a mental breakdown!

Just wanted to say to all of you who are worrying about not feeling sick- I was in the exact same boat as you this time lady week and I was getting really stressed about it (esp on days my boobs didn't hurt so much), but I'm 6+2 today, and this is the very first morning I feel icky! Still not actually sick, but I definitely feel like I maybe drank a few glasses of wine too many last night!

Booked my early scan today, for the following Friday, I am sooo excited!

Creamtea1 · 14/01/2013 12:14

Morning all, dietcoke I am 6+4 so I resisted well and didn't do it until I knew it would (should) show 3+ - but have also been doing loads of mental king anyway :)
I'm another non sleeper - just can't drop off and average about 4 hrs a night. Wierd thing is though don't actually feel tired at any point - not even the next day etc. also no sickness here or any real symptoms apart from sore boobs.
I did a weigh in and have put on 2lb, but expect that is Xmas related! Am stressing about getting weighed at booking appt on thurs- acknowledge i have weight issues.

Creamtea1 · 14/01/2013 12:17

Mentalling that meant! Lol

badguider · 14/01/2013 12:31

no sickness here either - but i guess we should be grateful rather than worried.. my evenings are pretty wiped out by tiredness so thank goodness i've got the mornings.

jemimahpuddleduck · 14/01/2013 12:36

Haha Kitten under normal circumstances it would be just me in PJ's with hot choc but DH is injured so has trouble sleeping too ... he's not a Wendy honest Smile.

Glad I'm not the only one without sickness.

LexyMa · 14/01/2013 12:47

Hi all, lovely to hear about scans and heartbeats and digi numbers going up!!

I have a question for anyone who has used an online self-referral form to get their booking appointment - how long did it take to come? Did you get a confirmation message on phone? I have just submitted mine twice , but got an error message twice on the website. The blurb says they will send out an appointment within 2 weeks (I am 7w tomorrow) so if I waited until that doesn't come it would be a bit tight for time to have to submit again and get a first scan at the right time. So I'm thinking of sending a printed version of the form, does that seem sensible? Or are they going to be confused and messed around by two --three- versions of the same self-referral and end up making me multiple appointments?

I am less tired than I was last week but I think that could be because I am pacing myself very carefully. No obvious nausea but (TMI alert) I have a weird pre-existing condition with producing too much mucus in my nose/throat and it sometimes gives the sensation of choking which makes me gag. DH is doing almost everything around the house [saint] and putting up with me being randomly grumpy and unreasonable. DS is being a treasure and giving me lots of cuddles (still convinced that somehow he can sense the elevated oestrogen) but also a lot of elbowing me in the boobs when trying to get into optimum story-reading position.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 14/01/2013 13:07

Early scan today, 7+2 and there is a heartbeat so fingers crossed!

LotsaTuddles · 14/01/2013 13:48

Lexy, My niece is the same, "can I have a cuddle?", of course you can, cue her jumping up and she's all elbows and knees in the boobs. My slightly older niece (she's 4) said to me yestreday "are you having a baby?" I looked at SiL to see if she's ok to know and she nodded, so I said yes, and her response was "I thought so, I can see your belly is fatter" Sad, but then she stroked and cuddled my belly telling it "hello, little baby, I'm your cousin" [bless].

I think there's something that small children and animals can sense as our dog followed me round the house (I mean at my heels) for a couple of weeks before I got my BFP and he won't leave me alone, if I'm on sofa, he's lying on my feet, if I get up to go to the toilet and come out he's sitting by the door, every morning he's sitting outside my bedroom door and then he follows me round the room while I'm getting dressed (There's not really enough space for me and a 7 year old Labrador to be walking around).

Feeling slightly sick, but my twiglets are helping (don't normally like them)

amidwifecrisis · 14/01/2013 13:55

catpuss REALLY odd things like handing me their urine samples in sealed brown envelopes?!

Whyriskit · 14/01/2013 14:03

Re what people were saying about children etc acting differently: DS2 is nearly 2.5, doesn't talk much but the other day he pointed at my stomach and asked if there was a baby in it!
Also, stopped bfing him a couple of months ago, he hasn't missed it, but recently he's been showing a lot of interest in my boobs again - he even tried to latch on yesterday. Do I maybe smell different or something?!

KamikazeeKid · 14/01/2013 14:30

Mmmm lotsatuddles....twiglets......nom nom nom

Creamtea1 · 14/01/2013 14:52

Ladies need some advice/help

Just went for a wee and when I wiped there was some red blood. Quantity wise it was more than spotting, took 3 wipes to get it all. Haven't got any cramps or pains and just got a 3+ on digi this morn.
What do I do now? Just wait and pant watch?

My only slight reassurance is that I went for a ahem, poo, this morning and it was quite a strain - sometimes do get some blood on that wipe.
Sorry for tmi and arrrgghh....

hackneybird · 14/01/2013 14:56

Cream tea you should wait and pant watch I think.

jm233 · 14/01/2013 14:57

Has anybody else's circulation gone pete tong? I've had pins and needles in my hand for probably about 5 minutes now and it won't go away! It's freaking me out!

jmf294 · 14/01/2013 14:58

I did another CB and it still showed 2-3 weeks.
Not good news as it showed this 2 weeks ago.
I see my midwife on Wednesday and then I think I will ask to be sent to the EPAU- I need to know one way or the other
Not having a good day!

LotsaTuddles · 14/01/2013 15:04

My hands are freezing jm233, but apparently this is because our blood is going to other places before our extremities.

Creamtea, I think wait and pant watch, hope everything's ok

andadietcoke · 14/01/2013 15:23

Creamtea I researched spotting extensively when my mc started last time. Straining with bowel movements can do it, as can DtD. See how it goes. If you don't have pain/cramping, that's a good sign.

andadietcoke · 14/01/2013 15:24

jmf I've decided those sodding things should be banned. Have a quick google (not something I'd normally recommend) and you'll find hundreds of women saying how inaccurate they are. Fingers crossed for you xx

SpanishLady · 14/01/2013 15:37

Hi all

jmf - I hope they offer a scan so you can be reassured - thinking of you.

Creamtea - have no personal experience to draw on but lack of pain sounds good though I can really appreciate why you would feel concerned. I do have a friend who bled pretty much all through her pregnancy and also had the considtion, forgive I forget the terminology, but its where the placenta is around the front of her bump so basically she never felt the baby move as oyu can imagine it was quite a fraught 9 months for her but hes nearly 3 now and baby number 2 is on its way so it end well - - fx no more spotting -

Im going to update the stats list as we have more mums to be joining!
