Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

Congratulations legoboat

Really sorry to hear of your last loss. I hope everything goes lovely and healthily this time.

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/01/2013 08:33

Im finding it hard to eat anything! I had this before, that everything just looked wrong! I just want clear stuff. Im quite scared that I feel like this at 4 weeks! Confused

kimjayne · 09/01/2013 08:49

I know what you meant CatPuss. All the meals I used to eat look and smell revolting at The moment. Im only 5 weeks along so just concerned that this will get progressively worse. :(

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/01/2013 08:55

Can I just add, I am really NOT enjoying this knowing so early lark! I knew from 4 weeks last time, but I was so young and naive, I didnt worry at all!
Now, as an old lady and a seasoned MNer, I know all the statistics. Ive also had a bit of pinkness on wiping. Ive gone really paranoid and every time I wee I have a puggle down there too check! I know that I have a cervical erosion, and I know that they are easily irritated in early pregnancy, and I know that puggling about down there will also aggravate it, but the temptation is really strong! Today, I am going to STOP, stay positive and think about something else!!!!

badguider · 09/01/2013 09:00

Catpuss i know what you mean, right now i'm paranoid about ectopic, but at 5 wks i'm getting close to where i'd really know about it if it was... next i guess i'll get paranoid about mc and then about the scan.. Sad

At 36 i have had so many friends have such a difficult time that i don't really feel like i can be blaze about it and assume things will be fine for us.

LotsaTuddles · 09/01/2013 09:33

Kitten, I commute into London too, your worry is my exact worry too.

I don't do sick at the best of times, let alone on public transport, my journey is 1.5 hours each way, not sure I could hold it in for that long.

Although, in April my Oyster card runs out so I'll be walking/waddling to and from St. Pancras Blush

I'm the same, sweets seems to be the only thing that I can eat lots of Grin, I have multiple packs of refreshers in my bag, just incase

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 09/01/2013 09:34

I've still not been sick but feeling pretty rotten. Been having some dreams about bleeding which are freaking me out.

Think I've lost weight as I'm not eating as much, which is good as I've got a bridesmaid dress to fit into at the end of the month.

I don't know if I'm imagining it but when I lie flat on my front I feel like I can sense something over on the left hand side, if it was ectopic, would I feel anything prior to pain? Or am I just getting myself into a tizz?

The crying has commenced with 2 sessions of tears this morning. Thank god I'm on mat leave but that in itself is stressing me! Happy days Grin

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 09/01/2013 09:42

I just had two packets of crisps for breakfast I told myself it was to settle my stomach
The shame Sad

LotsaTuddles · 09/01/2013 09:44

I haven't been sick either GirlWith, but like it could happen at any moment. I feel like that when I lie down on front too, but feel more in the middle and it's more of a pressure feeling than a fizzy one

My crying has commenced too, cried this morning when DP refused to cuddle me (I'm less likely to get out of bed if I'm cuddling)

jm233 · 09/01/2013 09:52

A story about (almost) crying- I took my dogs out for their walk this morning, but about 10 minutes in I realised I was going to have to speed it up today cause poor bladder simply wasn't coping. I would say 20 minutes later I was at the exit to the park super pleased that I was getting to go home as by this point I was totally bursting. And then to my horror I realised that I must have dropped one of my dog leads cause it just wasn't there.... I actually felt my eyes welling up. Had to go all the way around the park again to find the damn thing. Needless to say it was the best pee ever!!!

LotsaTuddles · 09/01/2013 09:56

jm, think I would have cried at that too.

I went a few times on the train home last night, I'm sure the person sitting next to me thought I was insane keep getting up and walking away

Creamtea1 · 09/01/2013 10:03

Catpuss is there any possibility you may be having twins??? Seems there are signs - early sickness plus cb digi saying 3+ already when you're sure you're not that far along? ;)

jennimoo · 09/01/2013 10:15

Don't mention twins! ;) Anyone know the likelihood, and therefore how many of us statistically will be having them?

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/01/2013 10:20

Well DP is an twin, and his dad is a twin, but I think that twins run through the mother so I should be ok! Confused That would really finish DP off! when I tell him
Ive got my second BetahCG blood test tomorrow, so things might become a little clearer. I suppose that I could be a month further on, but then the test would be behind! Confused

LotsaTuddles · 09/01/2013 10:39

No one in our house is allowed to mention twins.

My mums dad was a twin and twins skips a generation and none of my cousins have had twins yet

jm233 · 09/01/2013 11:10

Does anyone know what the rough guidelines are for weight gain in 1st trimester?

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/01/2013 11:29

I think it varies from person to person! Personally, given I can't eat anything much right now, probably not much!

batfuttocks · 09/01/2013 11:41

I think its supposed to be minimal, as in up to 5lbs. Mine has always been higher as I have to eat more to cope with horrific nausea, but I've never gained more than 2st from start to finish, and been back in my jeans pretty quick. Currently working through a very early lunch as feel floored by nausea and have to collect dd from nursery shortly.

andadietcoke · 09/01/2013 11:42

I can't stop eating it's the only thing that stops the burps

Seriously, am never full. I've had to break out my fat pants this morning, but that's because of my bloated gassiness. I hope.

jennimoo · 09/01/2013 11:42

Twins in the US in 2010 were 1 in 30 so there are 40 on the list...

Trying not to think about it!

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/01/2013 11:46

Hopefully mine will be minimal, what with being a big fat bird anyway! Confused

Creamtea1 · 09/01/2013 11:50

Ok have been researching ladies!

Weight gain: optimum for 'normal' bmi people is around 3lbs( 28 - 35 lbs whole pregnancy)

Twins: I found a 1 in 30 stat - more like if: twins on mothers side, mother is over 35, if it is not the mothers first pregnancy, if the mother has had fertility treatment (obvs)

Twin symptoms: cb digi saying more than number of weeks actually preg, some say early bfps or v v dark positives straight away, getting bigger earlier, sickness, very thirsty, but then also people say had no idea until they went to the scan!!

batfuttocks · 09/01/2013 11:54

Well I had a Bfp 5 says early, am thirsty, sick and getting big earlier than.normal (though scales.say no weight gain yet). So eek. Definitely darker tests earlier than my other pregnancies....twins would kill us financially though, so hopefully a singletons. Though I will happily take either if healthy!

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/01/2013 11:59

Am really tuggy stretch feeling today.
Twins would be interesting! I'd have to have the others adopted to make room! Grin

Blanketsandpillows · 09/01/2013 12:16

Another newbie here! Reckon about 5+4 but not sure-def due September though. I'm 30, married and based in NW. We were only half heartedly trying as had planned to wait until Jan but got BFP on day 40 of cycle this week! (had tested on day 28 but BFN- first month off pill so cycles messed up-that's why I don't know dates yet). This will be our first. My only real symptom is how tired I am! DH in shock and despite wanting it doesn't seem excited yet-think he feels he has missed out on some of the fun in trying!
