Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

Hello ladies, just wondered if its not too late to pop my head in?

I just poas and got a faint bfp...

According to internet I would be due on 22/9 :)

TripleRock · 09/01/2013 12:21

Oh hi blankets I followed you over it seems! Must have been a lucky thread for us

Wibblytummy · 09/01/2013 12:28

Hello ladies, may I be a newbie please? Due date calculator is putting me as due on 13th of Sep (a Fri 13th eek!) if my dates are right and this little one sticks around x

LotsaTuddles · 09/01/2013 13:08

Wibble, my EDD is Fri 13th too (according to nhs calculator thingie)

Wibblytummy · 09/01/2013 13:40

It's the NHS one thats dated me too Lotsa! I fear I must have an omen about me as my 1st, my DS was due on Fri 13th too. He was a few days late in the end though!
Is anyone else feeling huge already? Scales say theres only a 1lb gain since pre Christmas but I can't do my jeans up Blush Not sure there is any way I can keep it secret for another 7 weeks if I'm plodding about leggings everyday...

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 09/01/2013 14:53

Hey there

Welcome to all the newbies. Many congratulations.

I apologise in advance that this post is a bit self-centred. I'm having a propery teary wobble today that I've had a miscarriage and don't know it. I'm 6+7 (I guess), have no symptoms at all (apart from mild hysteria, but that's fairly typical of me) and haven't had a scan yet. I know that some people don't have ms etc, but I feel really normal. Dr tomorrow and hoping we'll be referred for scan asap (I'd even take dildocam right now) In office now having a quiet sob. Apologies for attention seeking but need some attention! Hope everyone else is having slightly less mad days and sorry if anyones had bad news that puts my anxiety into perspective.

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 09/01/2013 14:59

6+6!

Creamtea1 · 09/01/2013 15:07

Camomile have you taken any more tests to put your mind at rest? If you are still getting positives then you are still pregnant, and just lucky to have no symptoms!

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/01/2013 15:08

Camomile, can you not self refer to the EPU. Its been suggested to me. Maybe be a wee bit naught, tell them youre 7 weeks and make something up about a dodgy symptom? Fwiw, Ive been like that since I found out. Today is the first day Ive not been a total wibbling jelly.

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 09/01/2013 15:23

Cream: I read somewhere that you can still get positives even if something goes wrong so didn't want to waste money. If that's wrong a quick dander to boots after work is in order. I have a beautiful row of first response lines getting progressively darker (I stopped this expensive habit last week).

Catpuss: I actually did consider this earler today. Work for the nhs though so would feel mega guilty plus would worry I'd taken the place of someone actually having said symptoms. I did muse over it for longer than I'd like to admit though!

Thanks for the responses. Needed some calmness. Its prob just because of GP tomorrow and how much I want things to be ok. Just happy to know its not just me acting like a mad thing! Had been relatively calm up till now but made the mistake of doing some research!

PoppettyPing · 09/01/2013 16:09

Wibbly and lotsatuddles I'm apparently due Friday Sept13th too!
I honestly kinda hate knowing at this mega early stage.
I too, feel a bit rounder...Could be because I am eating the entire universe. Healthy stuff, though..strangely my sweet tooth has totally disappeared, which is v unusual for me!

PoppettyPing · 09/01/2013 16:12

Aw Camomile, I think it's pretty normal to freak out about something we have so little control over! I know I slip into that anxiety sometimes. lI'm sending happy thoughts your way, I'm sure you're right as rain

LexyMa · 09/01/2013 18:07

I have had such a weepy day it is getting embarrassing. Was in London for a court case (which didn't need me in the end) and then went shopping with my sudden half day of free time. Ended up buying a sewing machine and getting gel nails. In Nails Inc there is a screen with a film playing, it was the one with Will Smith struggling to get a job and keep his son, and dear god I didn't know where to look. Had a lot of lumps in throat. Then picked DS up from nursery and he was given sweets as a goodbye present from a little girl who's been there all the time he has (3 years) and is moving with her mum (one of the staff). I was holding it together until they had a hug, then the tears came.

Going to have to have a bra review soon and put away all my underwired ones. Am overfilling them. Looks good but I need more comfort urgently. But it reminds me to recommend Elle Macpherson Intimates for feeding bras - they are the only (I think) posh and pretty bras you can get with an access hatch and they are good quality too. Come in white, cream and black and I do believe there may even be matching knicks.

Creamtea1 · 09/01/2013 18:17

That is correct LexyMa, but there are quite expensive - try figleaves.com if you know your size.

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/01/2013 18:29

Well I've had a good day. Feeling a little better, had a burst of energy and feeling nice and positive. THEN, I suddenly started worrying about whether feeling better was something to worry about! Confused

LexyMa · 09/01/2013 18:35

Creamtea that is very logical and good for money saving but ... Grin ... I think whenI was bf-ing DS, I was happy to pay the premium just to go and be talked to nicely by a lovely polite lady who saw me as a functioning human being in a lovely shop (selfridges) rather than sitting at home in my pjs feeling like a walking udder.

jennimoo · 09/01/2013 18:56

I'd recommend hot milk bras for BFing, but not sure I'd spend that much money on maternity ones as last time they just kept changing size all the time!

Zoon · 09/01/2013 18:58

I second hotmilk. Really comfy and look gook Cake do nice ones too. I also saw some nice feeding ones on new look website.

Celosia · 09/01/2013 19:03

Hi there - I've just found out I'm 4 + 2, due mid Sept. just turned 40 (omg) and this is my 5th baby. Looking forward to chatting over the next few months - hope you're Ll feeling well x

Poonli · 09/01/2013 19:06

Hi everyone. I just found out i'm pregnant with my first, due 10th Sept I think. Scared and excited all at once. Have ZERO symptoms so far - apart from a missed period, I wouldn't even know I was pregnant! :)

Wibblytummy · 09/01/2013 19:06

Lovely to meet another Friday 13th Poppetty although I think you must have sent your sweet tooth my way. The last 4 days I have wanted nothing but chocolate and bread. Knowing at this stage is hard as I find myself reading in to everything! Still having the funny Aunt Flo twinges and running to the loo in a panic.

Will look in to all your recommendations for maternity bras now. I made the mistake of going to Mothercare for some on Sunday as they are so sore and achey and was thoroughly disappointed with what was available!

kimjayne · 09/01/2013 19:49

had a very sicky day today! Couldn't eat a thing at lunch. But had a funny craving for ginger beer ice lollies (no.. you cant actually buy ginger beer ice lollies! there's no such thing). I mentioned it to tgeh husband and got home to find he'd bought holly moulds and made some for me! Smile I felt a lump in my throat. Had a bit of an emotional moment when I realised how much he already cares about our baby. Now im scared coz the sickness has gone! This pregnancy lark is a right emotional rollercoaster!
My boobs don't seem that sore today either. Really freaking me out.

Creamtea1 · 09/01/2013 19:51

There's also next and m&s, what Lexy said is true - sometimes its nice for a trip out etc:)

LotsaTuddles · 09/01/2013 19:56

Poppetty, I feel really fat too and my boobs feel huge and really sore

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/01/2013 20:09

This thread is great. Lots of different symptoms, levels of affliction, plenty of people to compare with! I feel like I have nervous butterflies ATM! Anyone else feeling this?
