Sept 2013?

legoboat · 22/12/2012 19:42

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

if anyone updates the list, would you mind adding my age as 29? Our PC isn't working at the moment so im stuck using my mobile. Big thanks in advance! Smile

TotalShock · 07/01/2013 21:12

Hi, can I join?

I'm 34 this year and got my first bfp on Christmas Day, Edd 03/09/13 and I feel like my head might explode. Don't want to tell anyone until after 12 week scan so it's nice to be around other women in the same boat as me!

At the moment not feeling much different so a bit paranoid something might be wrong but can't talk to anyone!

Good luck everyone

SGJ · 07/01/2013 21:20

Very pleased to hear the scan went well, weewee, hooray! Spoke to the community midwives this morning to arrange a booking in appointment, and was told that someone will ring me back in the next couple of weeks... so nothing to do but wait, and count down the days, boo! So frustrating! No nausea today but still got massive boobs, joy. And back to work tomorrow, hope everyone thinks I've just had a chubby Christmas!

As for other DC, our daughter is 25 months, will be a couple of months away from turning 3 come September.

Is anyone else in Essex or is it just me??

SGJ · 07/01/2013 21:21

Oooh, TotalShock - got my BFP on Christmas day and due on 3rd too! Congratulations!

I'd love a water birth. I sea swim in the summer (obv not this year now!) and find the water a place of safety.

I'm in Norfolk

First time preggers.

I've told work, I work with the public and my employer will need to change my duties - moving and handling etc.

Glad to hear weeweewee had a positive experience with the dildo scan.

Xxxx

Wincher · 07/01/2013 22:18

totalshock I don't feel any different either - did a tough spin class last night before testing this morning and felt really good.

andadietcoke · 07/01/2013 22:46

Ooh hi hetty - congratulations! I work in Knutsford and live in Marple!

CarrieJayne · 08/01/2013 01:18

Oh no! Could someone add me please, i can't do it from here and I've been missed off again! I am not posting much at the moment, more of a reader than a contributor, but a big worrier and want to get past at least 8 weeks before I allow myself to get too excited and hop in on the conversation!

BFP 30th Dec, 30yo, DC1, EDD 8th Sept. Thanks so much! Smile

LotsaTuddles · 08/01/2013 08:30

So, I bit the bullet and told my mum this morning.

She really isn't happy, she's told me I'm stupid among other things. Why can't she be like normal parents and be happy for me, it's not as if I'm a teenager that hasn't been with DP for long. We live together and are engaged, planning on getting married next May.

Great start to my day Sad

LexyMa · 08/01/2013 09:34

sorry to hear that Tuddles. It's not a very constructive response - if she thinks you are unprepared a better way to react is to offer practical support. She must be only just 50 ish? Could it be that it's all about her she just thinks she is too young to be called granny? Well, DC can call her something else then. If she wants to be involved at all.

Sleep patterns still a bit mental here. Was falling asleep on sofa at 6.30 last night. Had a long bath and a herbal tea (which was a bit bleurgh) and some reading mnetting but then found myself waking up a lot of times in the night. Not difficult to get back to sleep but very broken up. Wide awake by 6am but slightly wobbly. Think I need to keep some oatcakes by side of bed for early blood sugar correction to avoid nausea.

Was at work by 8, not looking forward to a very long day, but a meeting that would have kept me in till 6 has been cancelled so I can go home at the normal time yay! My mum is coming to stay tonight (we have to go to be witnesses at court tomorrow) so I am going to have to find a way of staying alert through the evening. Not planning to tell anyone until 12 weeks, not going to overtly tell work until completely unavoidable, and even then will not be a big hooha announcement.

As far as I can see from this thread the Watford General /Herts Crew amounts to: LexyMa, SpanishLady, jmf294, loubeebaby, dorapeppageorgenoddy, ... any others? What are the chances of (me) getting a MW for a home birth if we're having a baby boom in September around Watford?!? Last time at Northwick Park, they only just reopened the MLU once a bit of a rush had died down in delivery suite - it's 1 MW to about 4 ladies there, but in MLU you have 1:1 care so obviously if they're busy and you've pitched up at hospital, you go where they can accommodate you.

PoppettyPing · 08/01/2013 09:49

Hi all, can I join too? New here so not sure how to do it myself!
Poppettyping,29,DC 1, EDD 13th September. x

jm233 · 08/01/2013 10:05

Starting to freak myself out a little bit with my symptomless last few days. I feel absolutely dandy and my boobs have gone from complete agony/ weigh at least a tone to hardly even know they're there... I'm trying to be really positive but being kept in the dark for so long is driving me mad! I might do another CB digi in a few days to see if its gone up from the PG 2-3 yet.

Tuddles- maybe you should give your mum some time to get her head around to the idea, then sit her down for a proper baby chat and try to get to the bottom of why she's so cross and unsupportive? This way you'll hopefully also be able to put her mind at ease?

andadietcoke · 08/01/2013 10:07

Lotsa I'm sure she only has your best interests at heart, but that wasn't the most helpful response. Hopefully she'll come round quickly and be more supportive. How's your back pain today?

Hetty yes - first for me too.

CarrieJayne me too - my problem is that I've been on mn through TTC and the mc to TTC after a mc, and I don't feel like I belong in any of those places any more. Little bit in limbo! Hopefully the next few weeks will go quickly for you. 8 weeks is my 'calm down and relax a bit' target too.

LotsaTuddles · 08/01/2013 10:08

Yes, she's 51 or 52 (I forget), so it might just be about her not wanting to be a granny, they'd probably call her nan or nanny anyway as that' what both dp and I refer to our own nans as.

I'll tell me office manager at 15 weeks as that's what our maternity policy states but other than that, everyone else can guess.

I keep sleeping unsettled too, and I wake up starving (don't normally), but no time for breakfast before I leave the house Sad, doubt I'll be able to work quite late on in my pregnancy as I live in Kent and work in Central London, so I leave the house just after 6 and get home just after 6. Can barely keep up as it is

LotsaTuddles · 08/01/2013 10:09

Back isn't too bad, I just have a tight tummy, sore boobs and feeling sick

corkgirlindublin · 08/01/2013 10:47

Well morning sickness has just hit me like a fecking sledge hammer. Sweaty head and heaving stomach Sad 5+2 today. I was sick for my entire last pregnancy. I vommitted just after they put my daughter on my chest. Also had a crappy night sleep. I have just weaned my 2 year off the boob and she has been grand all for a week or two but was crying for milkies last night and took ages to settle! Feeling a bit sorry for myself today!

Daisy299 · 08/01/2013 11:16

jm233, I wouldn't worry. I have also woken up symptomless today (apart from the bloated belly) but making the best of it and getting on with work. The worst thing you can do is worry about it.
