Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

I'm not on the list, sob... can someone on a computer add me please?

WeeWeeWee - congrats on the postive scan. Am slightly petrified by the notion of dildocam - is there an alternative or is that the only thing which can pick up heart beats early on? I'm 6+4 and have GP appointment Thursday so am hoping some things will start happening quite quickly. Really just want to hear theres a heartbeat now - even would consider dildocam if essential.

kimjayne - my friend had a water birth fo her first and thought it was fabulous - like jennimoo she said the pain reduced considerably the moment she got in. Its definitely my preferred option atm.

I'm thinking of starting yoga too. I watched one born every minute last week and the one who did yoga seemed to cope best (sample size, 3!).

Weeeeeeee!

Went to the doctor today to confirm my BFP from Thursday morning. DP and I are a bit dazed as we've only been trying for two weeks! I think I'm about 6 weeks in now and estimate that thedue date will be around Sept 2nd. I'm 37 and this will be my first. We're very excited but not telling anyone until after the 12 week scan.

Symptoms so far include rather a lot of visits tithe toilet and huge boobs (I'm quite a fan of the later - not so much of the former)

WeeWee that's incredible, you must be absolutely delighted! I wish we could all have an early scan to give us some stress relief!

I think preg brain may be setting in early here - I just got in te wrong train home from work!

Weewee - so pleased it went well, I've not got the midwife until the 21st and only then will she refer me for my scan. Can't wait to get into that dark room again!

MummyOfPrawn - my DD only just turn 8mo and will only be 16mo when baby is due. Every time I think about it I scare myself

I had a scan at 7 weeks last time- not sure whether to book one or hold on.

I will be having an elective c-sec this time. Had emergency c-sec first time and elective for the second. An elective c-sec is a much better experience than an emergency one,

I 'm also a Herts girl- not sure who commented on Watford but that's where I had my second. The c- sec was all fine, postnatal ward a bit miserable but not too awful!!

Obviously don't know anyone near me in rl who is at our stage atm, but I think there have been about 4 babies this year among the P1 mums so there may be a few currently hiding morning sickness!

Not me I'm afraid, I'm in Sussex, think I'm pretty much on my own down here aren't I? All you Herts girls will be able to have a meet up on the delivery ward at Watford Gen come September!

oh far, thanks for the info on birthing pools. I always turn to swimming or baths for relaxation and comfort so my thought process was that this might be the least stressful option (if that's at all possible..) however, the epidural does seem VERY tempting I must admit. Especially considering what a massive wimp I am.
On the subject of locations, Im South Manchester based. Hopefully there's nobody on here who would recognise my name! (fingers crossed). But its nice to see a couple of local ladies on here too. I might bump into you at ante-natal classes some time soon!
