Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Lotsa me too, and I'm more or less the same EDD as you. Technically 5 weeks today, but more like 4+3 from ovulation.

I think mine is wind. It moves around a lot and is improved by rubbing my tummy. DO NOT GOOGLE. I spent yesterday googling, and it wasn't the best idea.

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 13:55

I thought that it was wind, so I, um tried to get rid of it ...... it wasn't.

It's not there now though, but it does seem to be either right at the bottom of my stomach or at the bottom of my back, so it could be trapped I guess.

It could be worse, it could be escaping wind, at work, in an open plan office

Daisy299 · 07/01/2013 13:58

LotsaTuddles, I really empathise with the weeing. We were going to tell the family our news yesterday but I ended up being too desperate for the loo and had to take a detour to a Costa Coffee. Then buy something as I felt bad about using the loo. Needless to say half of the family disappeared before I even got there!

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 14:00

It's ridiculous, I have the bladder of an old lady at the best of times.

I fear we're going to have to tell parents soon though. I'm dreading telling my mum, she may not be best impressed.

I'm getting married in May, so will have to loose the weight quickly

Kittenkatzen · 07/01/2013 14:08

Hmmm lexyma...well I was going to say suede but her stats said up north, not Herts....

andadietcoke · 07/01/2013 14:08

The only people that know so far are the lady in Starbucks who now makes me a decaf coffee in the morning, the GP receptionist, and a colleague at work who saw the photo of the HPT in my photos on my phone when I was showing her my holiday photos.

After last time I'm really considering not telling anyone else until I have a photo and a heartbeat from an early private scan if I get that far.

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 14:15

We will have to tell DPs parents because we live with them at the moment, and you can't tell one lot of parents and not the other.

My mum really isn't going to be happy though

Kittenkatzen · 07/01/2013 14:45

tuddles why won't your mum be pleased? Sad

Well I had to tell my yoga teacher today, and it looks like DH is going to have to tell his business partner and also his brother in the next few days...an now feeling a bit guilty as it seems like lots of ransoms will know before our parents do!

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 14:56

Because she thinks I'm too young and it'll get in our way of moving house.

Could you not tell them, but keep it strictly parents only? (And all the other ransoms)

dorapeppageorgenoddy · 07/01/2013 15:00

Hello may I join in....I just got my bfp from a crazy decision over Christmas to try for our 3rd from the new year...! Anyway I am 33, my ds1 will be 4 in Sept and my ds2 will be 2 in August...

Although officially sickness is not meant to be there yet, it's been building up for about a week..

Anyway I too am Herts based and looking for ways to avoid Watford General but not sure there is a way...

Anyway congrats to all...Smile

badguider · 07/01/2013 15:02

Kitten - what kind of yoga do you do and what did your teacher say? I want to continue with my current yoga practice for a while yet rather than move to floaty hippy ante-natal yoga Grin

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 15:06

ESP am sat in hospital waiting for the scan and pretty convinced they've made mistake in booking me a scan - all the questions on the forms I has to fill in are about bleeding, previous mc, ectopic pregnancies etc which I've had none of. Feeling bad about wasting their time. It also says it'll be a scan using the dildocam.

Terrified of going through with it but would be so disappointed to be sent away.

Daisy299 · 07/01/2013 15:13

AllTheWayHome - I had a dildo scan once to check my ovaries, it was totally fine and over within a few seconds. They wouldn't let my partner in the room - it's completely private and didn't hurt at all. I'm really NOT good with people seeing my bits but it was honestly no big deal.

badguider · 07/01/2013 15:16

Weewee - It might be a mistake but I guess it won't do any harm... good luck.

andadietcoke · 07/01/2013 15:17

Fuck fuck fuck. One of the blokes that works for me just found out because we use my personal email address on one of the laptops and I'd enquired about some NCT classes and they'd sent an email to me which he has seen (and told me to move in case anyone else sees it). Have sworn him to secrecy, but still...

I really feel like people finding out will somehow jinx this pregnancy.

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 15:19

Thanks daisy, I didn't think it would be a problem (thought giving birth cured any delusions of modesty) but I'm pretty scared. It will be over soon, must keep chanting that.

Kittenkatzen · 07/01/2013 15:22

weewee keep schtum, look vaguely worried and come abck here to let us know how it goes!! :o

badguider I do zen yoga, and agree about not wanting to switch to the airy-fairy stuff just yet! Actually my teacher was really positive and encouraging - he said there's no reason I can't carry on with regular classes throughout the whole pregnancy, just making modifications and allowances as I go. Right now I've been told that closed twists and most inversions should be avoided as they compress the abdomen/mess with your blood pressure. But gentle seated twists are ok (twisting from shoulders not waist), and down-dog is ok for short periods. Later on it's more about making room for a bump than anything apparently. :)

dorapeppa welcome to the 33 gang :o

tuddles that was my suggestion but DH isn't keen, think we're going to discuss it properly tonight (coded email isn't easy!). Otherwise I'll just be telling ransoms I guess :o Wink. Grrrr to your mum - although hopefully she'll come round to the idea once she's faced with the reality of a snuffly newborn to cuddle :)

loubeebaby · 07/01/2013 15:23

@Whyriskit.....your welcome. You might know all that stuff anyway as your a bit of a pro with the old CS now! But I have found it useful as a 1st timer.
I am hoping a ELCS will be slightly better than a EMCS!? Well so this book says anyway (clinging onto hope!) Seriously shitting myself!
@LotsaTuddles - hope the cramps go away soon.....good advice..DONT GOGGLE ANYTHING! Lol! How old are you?
@dorapeppageorgenoddy - I am going privately at Watford General (Knutsford Suite) to avoid the appalling lack of care there. So will now be broke for the rest of our lives but couldn't face it after my sister and friends experiences (of which I was there to witness myself) There is no other private options nearby except London. Otherwise I would have steered clear of Watford Gen completely! Lol!
@kitten & badguider - I am not a yoga bunny at the mo but am looking to start in the coming weeks so that I can use this as a form of exercise when most other stuff is ruled out later on.
@Weewee - Good luck and the dildocam is harmless like daisy says. Its not your fault they made a mistake!

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 15:29

Yes well she's always been really controlling and stubborn, because she had me at 29 and then my dad had an affair and left us when I was 18mo, she didn't really have a great snuggley newborn time. Hopefully she'll realise that I am actually an adult now and can do what I want and I actually want to be a mum.

I want to tell parents now because then they have longer to get their heads round it and get it over and done with, and wait till 12 weeks for everyone else. He wants to wait, I have a drs appointment next wednesday (my registering appointment, as I've only just done this after moving last year) so asked dr if I could do my 1st pg appointment then, no such luck, I have to fill a form out and midwife will contact me so I'm not waiting till god knows when to tell them. I could be throwing up in their toilet for the forseeable future, I think they should know. And I know that DPs parents will be happy

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 15:29

loubeebaby I'm 22

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 15:31

If you're in the Watford area, could you not go to Hillingdon (although not sure if that's a wise decision really, a few of my friends had bad experiences there) or Ealing, or Northwick Park.

What about West Middlesex?

I have no idea how far these actually are, I just know they're in that general area.

Does Mount Vernon have a maternity ward?

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 15:33

I've never had a bad experience with this hospital but this 45 minute (and counting) wait is not helping!

Thank you for being so reassuring, dp is struggling to stay awake next to me.

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 15:35

Lotsa sorry to hear about unsupportive dm. Hopefully she won't be able to help herself when dc actually comes along! That's what ja

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 15:36

*happened with my parents, and I was 22 as well!

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 15:38

Thanks WeeWee, I hope so, I just hope that it doesn't take her that long
