Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

OP posts:

Oh god. Sex would involve movement. And that would push me over the edge (and not in a good way!). Boak.

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 11:12

Confusingly, that's how I feel too! It made sense last time as it kicked in when the nausea eased off but this is MEAN AND NOT HELPING ANYBODY

LexyMa · 07/01/2013 11:13

Hello all - gosh this is a fast moving thread!

I am 33 (badge please!) will be 34 in Feb
Hertfordshire
This will be DC2 (faint BFP on 22Dec, period due 25th, definite BFP on 28th) so tomorrow is 6w, EDD by LMP 3 Sep.
Terrified it's DC2+3 (no reason or family history - just paranoid!)
DS came at 42 weeks and 9lbs 5oz (midwife led, G&A plus a bit of a foot massage and some shouting, episiotomy) and starts school in Sep. Would be very happy for this one to come a tiny bit early, in fact just on time would be ok. And sub 9lbs.

Boobs sore, but no nausea (had none with DS at all)
Tired - but sleep patterns all over the place

I was on the Just Shagging thread with a couple of people already seen up thread here. But I've NC'd so will probably not be recognisable, dur.

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 11:16

Sorry, jemimah, I didn't mean to churn out such an lecture essay. It's just something I've spent a lot of time obsessing thinking about and I've come to the conclusion that it's just not helping. If I could only restrict myself to light and fluffy threads!

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 11:22

Had 2 BFPs yesterday Grin

How do I work out EDD?

badguider · 07/01/2013 11:24

Haven't read the thread yet but just got a bfp and due apparently 8th Sept.

No symptoms except slightly larger boobs. Have been cycling and running like crazy in training for a race i'll now have to cancel and actually feel remarkably good/fit... long may it last!

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 11:26

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/due-date-calculator.aspx

Plug in the date of your first day of your last period, how long your cycles usually are and voila!

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 11:27

Whoops, try that again

here

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 07/01/2013 11:27

And congratulations!

Kittenkatzen · 07/01/2013 11:31

at tuddles and lexyma - whoever you are :o

tuddles there is an EDD calculator somewhere round here, but otherwise you can do it by taking the first date of your last period, subtract three months, and then add 7 days.

Eg: the first date of my last period was 6th December, minus 3 months is 6th September, plus 7 days gives me an EDD of 13th September. It's not an exact science - I have short cycles so my EDD is more likely to be around the 10th - but it gives you a point of reference at least!

weechops · 07/01/2013 11:33

Morning :) just back from telling the g.p. I'm pregnant. So he now informs the midwives at the hospital I chose and they send me a date for booking in and scan. It all feels official now :)

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 11:33

Aah, done it.

Mine is 13th September too Kitten Grin

Daisy299 · 07/01/2013 11:33

jm233 - I am not feeling sick either, although a bit more sensitive to smells (I love basil but when my husband was chopping some yesterday it smelled like washing up liquid). I assume the sickness is on the way. Trying to eat well until then.

I have unfortunately had to do a run to Asda for some emergency All-Bran as I haven't 'been' since I found out - going to the doctors later so going to ask for some 'help' I think Blush

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 11:34

Ooh, it's a Friday

weechops · 07/01/2013 11:39

Daisy lactulose will be your new best friend :)

jemimahpuddleduck · 07/01/2013 11:46

That's ok weewee I thought your post was very interesting and reassuring that everyone is different.

Congrats Tuddles

jemimahpuddleduck · 07/01/2013 11:47

Sorry and Lexyma

LexyMa · 07/01/2013 12:02

here's a clue, Kitten/tuddles/jemimah... I was a Smiths lyric in a former life!

Just caught up with the rest of the thread - seems there is a 33 club and hertfordshire club! Yay! (But 'yikes' at the comments on the NHS page for Watford General maternity services...)

Someone was interested in boob size before/after pregnancy. Well I was an A/B before DS, and a C now, but also my ribcage expanded at the end of pregnancy so went from a 32 to a 34 inch, and a dress size 10 to 12 no matter what I did to my weight, eating, fitness etc. Grrrr

DS was an August baby (by the time he bothered to show up!) and is not at all behind his peers. He has the personality to do fine in his school year group - and there are plenty of shy/introverted kids at the older end of year groups. As long as they get the support/confidence from family or teachers as appropriate to their age I don't have much truck with the summer baby 'problem'... (insensitive cah that I am :) !)

I have a ski hol booked in March, eek! We actually slightly delayed TTC because it was, ahem, very easy the first time and I didn't want to be as pregnant this time. I went skiing (properly, did an advanced army ski certificate) at 20w with first PG. Was actually full of beans (second trimester), not at all wobbly or faint, and had not much of a bump (abs of steel, was super fit back then) but was able to eat and eat and eat! I'll be 14/15 weeks this time we go, so only just out of the exhaustion of the first trimester, but we're going to a lower altitude resort and concentrating on teaching the kiddies (extended family/friends group).

loubeebaby · 07/01/2013 12:03

Wow just catching up with everyones news since my last post.
Firstly so sorry Ibelieveinpink, I am sure you will be back on here soon with better news xx
Welcome to all the new ladies!!
My nausea has started to kick in exactly at the 6 week mark! Lovely! NOT! Although touch wood its not too bad....eating something normally sorts it out.
Grumpy...YES! Although DH would argue thats quite normal! Lol!
I dunno what i wanna eat half the time. I swing from ultra healthy stuff I normally have to force down to wanting salty or sugary naughty things.
Boobs are not so sore and touch wood seem to have halted growth for the time being. They were too big to start with! Have a dreadful feeling they will be swinging round my waist after this baby :-(
Is anyone else on the caesarean route? Am reading a great book (even if your not CS) "Caesarean Birth - A Positive Approach to preperation and recovery"
So glad to have all you ladies on here! xx

batfuttocks · 07/01/2013 12:22

No I imagine this birth will be vaginal, like my others. Therefore the final straw for my pelvic floor muscles!

I had a 3 hour labour with my daughter so am mostly concerned about actually getting enough notice to drive the half hour or more to the hospital. I had only been in an hour when I delivered last time!

batfuttocks · 07/01/2013 12:24

I have got a proper pot belly suddenly though. Am not even 7 weeks so this seems ridiculous. Any other third timers like this? Or is it just (ahem).....poo?

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 12:25

Can someone (Jemimah/Kitten) help me out with LexyMa's criptic nc? I'm feeling rather dumb right now Blush,

I don't think I've ever heard of the Smiths Blush Blush

Just had the hic-cups ?sp and that was one of the worse experiences of my life, and now I really need a wee. TMI sorry

SpanishLady · 07/01/2013 12:40

I add my best wishes to Pink - really really sorry.

Hi - to everyone else - on the symptoms front one of the reasons I knew I was pregnant with my son was becuase I was throwing up from the week before my period was due (and until week 25! but thats another story) - so far vague nausea and I also want salty things - basically a very particular kind of salty cracker....so would be delighted to also be having a girl!

Whyriskit · 07/01/2013 13:00

lou - thanks for the csec book recommendation. I had a emcs with DS1 due to ftp and a failed vbac with DS2 for the same reason, so I'll be going down the elcs route this time. I don't seem to have any problems getting pregnant, they just don't want to come out!

LotsaTuddles · 07/01/2013 13:10

Have got weird cramps in the bottom of my back today, this is normal right?

I've also been weeing like nobodies business all morning, when I'm at work I don't often get the chance to go so I hold it in, but today it's like oh I need a wee, oh dear, I need a wee right now!!

My Stats are:

LotsaTuddles, 22, BFP 06.01.2013, EDD 13 September 2013
