Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

Hello! Another newbie here... I think I might be in denial so am hoping this might make it seem more real. Got BFP on 2nd jan, EDD 4th sept. this will be our 3rd, we have 2 DS aged 5 and 2. but haven't told anyone yet, inc DH. Mainly because (although he is a loving doting brilliant father to our 2 DS) he is also adamant that he does not want any more children, whereas I very much do. We took forever TTC DS2 and were 'taking precautions' this time round so I'm not quite sure how I'm pregnant again but now I'm torn between being ridiculously excited and petrified of sharing the news and getting a negative reaction (I also have health issues so he will have justifiable concerns about impact of high risk pg on family life too...). Argh. Am hoping you wonderful ladies can sort me out in the meantime!!

kimjayne · 05/01/2013 04:56

Ok, I know Its 4:50am but I just woke up from a dream where I had found out I was expecting twins! The thought just hadn't occured to me until now. The thing is, thinking about it ... My grandad (on mums side) was a twin and my nannas mum (mums side) was too! So I guess theres a chance..... Yikes!!!! Shock

jennimoo · 05/01/2013 06:08

Hi kips, hopefully your DH will just be thrilled to hear the news. When do you think you'll tell him?

kim a dr friend of mine is expecting non identical twins and these can run in the family down the women's side, as seems to be a genetic increase in chance of releasing 2 eggs. Were your relatives identical? Cos that's less likely to happen again I think!

georgie22 · 05/01/2013 07:27

Hi again - it's nice to see that I'm not the only crazy knicker checker! I remember that from my first pregnancy. I'm getting lower abdo / pelvic and lower back aches which I also got last time round. Plus I'm exhausted and being made to go to bed earlier than normal by dh. Due to see my GP on Monday when I think I'll be 5+2. Thinking that we'll go for a private scan at about 8 weeks - did that last time and it did give me some reassurance. Roll on 12 weeks - it's so much easier when people know. Don't think I've made anyone at work suspicious yet - managed to keep it quiet last time till I was 12 weeks so hoping to do that again! Hope everyone has a good weekend!

SGJ · 05/01/2013 08:55

kim - the dreams are only going to get weirder! I had one last night where I dreamt that I'd mc'd... SO pleased to wake up this morning though I think there will be several knicker checks throughout the day!

weechops · 05/01/2013 09:14

I think weird dreams are par for the course in pregnancy. I dreamed I had twins too but then the woman in the bed opposite me kept trying to steal them!

jennimoo · 05/01/2013 09:38

I feel so sick this morning :( haven't actually been sick but feel like I could be. DH has returned from his run so at least not on my own with DD. will be from Monday when he's back to work. Not looking forward to 2 months of this.

amiready · 05/01/2013 09:57

Hi everyone, just marking place. 4+6 today. Still no real symptoms! Oh well, what will be will be I guess. Not sure whether I want to be feeling ill or not really! Lunch with the girls today - I'm sure one of them is going to announce her pregnancy!
Have a good day everyone.

CharlW1 · 05/01/2013 10:04

I'm 5 weeks due early September so I'm part of the September club! Very nervous after suffering an MC last year though. I'm new to MN so very excited to read about everyone else's experiences - I too have been having weird dreams but didn't make the connection until now.

andadietcoke · 05/01/2013 10:26

Hi CharlW1 there are a few of us in the same boat. I had a mc in November and am currently nearly in tears because my boobs aren't as sore and my back aches a teeny tiny little bit. Oh well. What will be, will be.

Kittenkatzen · 05/01/2013 10:42

kim I dreamt I was pg with id twins two nights before I got my bfp!

kips I'm sure your DH will come round to the idea of a dc3 eventually, will keep my fx for when you tell him the news Smile

dietcoke it's so worrying isn't it, I was the same as you yesterday, all my symptoms disappeared for a while. Be reassured though, my boobs are killing this morning and I just cried at a cancer research ad on the tv Grin

jm233 · 05/01/2013 12:17

My legs and hips are absolutely killing me today- I feel like a little old lady! Hips feel almost like a pulled muscle, but in my hip somehow (weird I know) and legs just have that lactic build up feeling in them... All in all, I'm not my finest form today!

CrikeeThree · 05/01/2013 14:36

God! I am so GRUMPY!! Can I blame that on pregnancy, or am I just a grumpy old moo?
Until now, I've had total happy hormones coursing through me. I've been more chilled out than I think I've ever been.
And then yesterday and today. Soooo tired. And having to really fight not to be grumpy with the DCs. It's not their fault I'm pregnant.
Feeling very guilty :(

CrikeeThree · 05/01/2013 14:38

jennimoo I've just realised your DD must be the same age as DS2, as we were on the Oct 2010 thread together. I didn't last there long, as I went off skiing near the start, and then somehow never got back into the thread.

CrikeeThree · 05/01/2013 14:40

*jm233" my legs were really sore last night. I remember that was one of the earliest symptoms I had with my first pregnancy. It passed quite quickly that time, so am hoping it will again this time.

jennimoo · 05/01/2013 15:16

crikeethree good memory! I do remember someone going skiing too.

With DD my hips were really bad from before 20 weeks but don't know when it started. I suffer with hip pain anyway though so just exacerbated whatever the problem is normally.

KamikazeeKid · 05/01/2013 15:35

Hiyee! Can I join too? I'm due early sept and warily poking my head in here as had losses before and am feeling nervy about even admitting being pregnant!

I do have a gorgeous 1 year old tho so I know I can do it but I feel so normal this time in comparison to last time....!

Congratulations ladies!!

CrikeeThree · 05/01/2013 15:40

Congratulations KamikazeeKid Hoping it all goes well for you :)

jm233 · 05/01/2013 16:30

I've had hip pain since before I found out I was pregnant. As soon as it started I thought hmmm... Could it be... And it was! Anyway, it's on with a vengeance today.
Congrats to everyone who just joined or just recently found out! Such exciting times!

andadietcoke · 05/01/2013 16:42

I have aching legs and hip pain but that may be because I went arse over tit in Manchester today and landed on my knees. So graceful. Yes to hip pain over the last week though.

Well I have thoroughly scared the bejeezus out of myself today. Need to step away from Google and just see what the next few days bring!

Sapphireday · 05/01/2013 16:58

Hi everyone

Just found this forum and would like to join in with you. I found out I was pregnant on 31 December at the age of 37 and after three years of trying and one round of IUI treatment. I'm so excited right now, I can't believe my luck! I think my estimated due date is 9 September, but that will be confirmed on the 17th January when I go for my first scan.

Sapp x x

amiready · 05/01/2013 17:07

oh wow - congratulations Sapphire, that is just so wonderful. Well done!

I'm still a bit sad / worried / concerned /disappointed about lack of symptoms. Anyone else in the same boat? I am 4+6 today.

Met up with the girls and had to keep schtum - my friend not pregnant after all...

Zoon · 05/01/2013 17:18

Amiready- 5+5 and no symptoms. Hope it continues this way too. I had none last time round so trying to enjoy it now (but I do have waves of doubt from time to time)

Crikee- how many weeks were you when u went skiing? I will be 11

MeanMrsMustard · 05/01/2013 17:38

Hi again,
I'm glad I'm not the only one going completely crazy here. I am googling all sorts of silly things and getting myself in a panic. I keep on telling myself that the majority of pregnancies are successful. If I was given an 85% chance of winning the lottery I would buy a ticket and be pretty optimistic. The odds are in our favour!

As for symptoms, I'm really not sure. I have lots of very minor symptoms but they might all be Psychosomatic. I think my boobs are getting a bit bigger and my nipples bumpy, but it may just be because I'm poking them. I normally like quite rich foods andt all I want these days are very fresh and light tastes, but that might be a reaction to Christmas indulgence. I feel dizzy and sick from time to time - I was even sick this morning, but I'm not sure that wasn't just because I've had a really phlegmy throat recently. Aghhh! All I know is that I am over thinking everything. Although I'm not looking forward to going back to school on Monday, I think it is important for my sanity!

I am 6+5 today by lmp (although I think I am actually more like 6+2). I have decided to have an early scan in 2 weeks when I am getting towards 9 weeks.
