Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

OP posts:

oh thanks guys, that's so reassuring. I just feel so normal! Can't believe not going to have any answer for at least another 2-3 weeks until heart beat comes along! What's funny though is that I work in a medical place and do have access to one of those doppler machines - so once the heart beat develops, I would be able to check things fairly often! Just hate the waiting and the not knowing. it's the main reason I'm not telling anyone - would hate Grandparents to get their hopes up and then be disappointed -even though I would tell them if (after) I'd had a miscarriage.

Sapphire- what wonderful news- wishing you a boring healthy 8 months or so.
Kips- I was in the same position last Saturday. We went trying as we have 2 children. My DH didn't want a third although I did and he said he'd think about it one day- but now was not meant to be that time.
I went and bought the test and felt sick then excited when it came up positive. I panicked for 1/2 hour then told him and he took it so well- initially shocked but now delighted and being great.

Zoon- I'm my first pregnancy I went skiing at 10 weeks- the baby is still deep inside your pelvis at 11 weeks so will be safe.

Well I'm now 1 week on from the big surprise!!
Saying that I did have a strange dream about getting a BFP 2 days before I did- I was just then working out I was late- had been away before Christmas and lost track of dates.
No more weeing on expensive clear blue sticks today- still not had the elusive 3 week result.
I had a private scan last time at 7 weeks- not sure what to do this time. Will wait to 12 if I can!!

Hope you all enjoy your weekends!!

jmf294 · 05/01/2013 18:15

That's meant to say above 'we weren't trying!'

CrikeeThree · 05/01/2013 18:35

*Sapphire" that is just brilliant! Congratulations :)

Zoon I was only 7 or 8 weeks pregnant (from memory... I think??)
but as jmf says, I think you're pretty safe still at 11 weeks.
My main problem was that I was just so tired. One day, I started to feel a bit dizzy skiing back from a longer excursion, and had to take it very easy down the last bit.

I'm really trying to carry on with everything as normal this time until it becomes tricky. I have no choice but to cycle to work. And I collect the kids from nursery in a bike trailer. But I'm assuming that'll be okay for a while yet.

I'm also determined to carry on swimming with my club all the way through, as I did with first pregnancy. And hopefully running, too.... let's see....

Still feeling knackered. Still feeling grumpy. Still vaguely nauseous. HAve to tell myself I chose to do this!!

Great to see so many people here..... :) :)

jmf294 · 05/01/2013 19:18

Criikeethree - have you done any running since your BFP.
I last ran last week when I was 4 1/2 weeks but didn't realise.
I've been too scared since to run because of the cramps.

Last 2 pregnancies I put on 4+ stone and I don't want that to happen this time.
Must pluck up the courage to run!!

amiready · 05/01/2013 19:28

I have been feeling grumpy too!! Wasn't sure whether to blame that on the pregnancy!! Ha ha. Yes, definitely grumpy. However, that's fairly normal for me!

Zoon · 05/01/2013 19:51

Thanks!
not that concerned (most of the time) about skiing but like u jmf I put on 4+ stone despite staying fit. I also had quite a bump by 12 weeks. I just hope symtoms stay away and I fit into my ski gear. I am still doing plenty of exercise as I want to be fit for skiing- more likely to get injured if I loose fitness.

CrikeeThree · 05/01/2013 20:01

jmf yes I have been running since BFP. A few times.
I really think at this stage, as long as you don't overdo it, you can just carry on doing whatever you do normally. But I'm not an expert.
And obviously if you're worried then you should go with whatever feels right to you.
I'm just making sure I stop if I feel tired, or at least ease off a bit. So I don't worry if I walk for a bit when out for my normal run. And I swim at my normal pace in a training session, but miss out the odd rep.

amiready am SO glad you said that. Although obviously I don't wish grumpiness on anyone.
I actually made myself take a few deeps breaths before speaking to DH tonight (he was at work all day) so I didn't just say "I'm so bloody tired and grumpy and fed up that I've been on my own all day" before I said anything else. It kind of worked. Kind of....

I also tried telling myself that it's a good thing that I'm feeling so tired because my body is obviously doing... SOMETHING...

zoon I think you're right. They say it's okay to do whatever you normally do during pregnancy, so I guess it's better to just keep fitness up in general if you're going to go skiing. Very jealous!! :)

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 05/01/2013 23:06

Hiya - I've been loitering at the door for a few days. Had a positive test on 1st jan. no idea when we conceived - any time from 19th nov ..... Stopped cerrezzette to play roulette for a bit.
I've joined sept list because I'd like a September baby Blush

I'm not one of those 'got preggers straight off the pill' girls. We were trying for 8 mths last year. Convinced myself I wasn't ready anyway went back on cerrezzette but it was awful!! So roulette it was.....

I have absolutely no idea about these baby things. I know my boobs are killing me, and I'm kept awake with heavy sore monstrous boobs. And this last week I have slept 12 hrs each night.

I'm 27, married and in Norfolk.

I've got an apt with the nurse on tues for thrush Blush and midwife week on thurs for booking.

weeweewee my PIL were equally as emotionless as your m and d. Can I have it in my birth plan that f I l isn't to come visit?? Never mind pain management, my priorities are visitors!

How do you get a early scan? For dates? Do you need to? Shall I just wait for the midwife to tell me what to do?

Looking forwards to making new friends, along this very new road!

Birthhippy9 · 05/01/2013 23:48

Poking head round the door. On day 36 of a usually 28 day cycle. Married got two and really been wanting a third.

Daisy299 · 06/01/2013 00:02

Hi everyone. Been lurking for a few months and had no idea i'd un-lurk so soon... Two months' trying and pregnancy confirmed last night.
Had a few symptoms so i was fairly sure but seeing the line appear sent me into a mad panic! Have managed not to cry for about an hour now, so doing well (!)... Hubby going away for two weeks from next Friday which I'm not thrilled about... Nice to see a fee others in the same boat anyway.

corkgirlindublin · 06/01/2013 09:25

Welcome all new BFP ladies! Rosy would you start taking a probiotic like UDO's super 8's now if you have a tendency towards thrush? It might keep it at bay for the rest of your pregnancy. I got awful thrush after my last labour. I was on loads of antibiotics for bad tear. Thrush was hell on earth! So this time ill be loading up on probiotics in the month before my due date and if I do end up on antibiotics hopefully I'll fight it!

Also regarding my third degree tear, has anyone had a subsequent delivery tear free? I'm worried about it reoccurring.

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 06/01/2013 10:01

corkgirl thanks for the tip! Il have a look for some probiotic today. Smile

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 06/01/2013 10:27

Anyone else with horrible dreams? Dreamt last night I was bleeding out and having a mc. Ugh.

IBelieveInPink · 06/01/2013 10:33

Looks like I am the first ( and hopefully the last) to be leaving the group. Good luck to all of you with your pregnancies, hope they are all happy and healthy x
(if the stats list is still going, please can someone take me off it? Thank you)

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 06/01/2013 10:49

I'm so very sorry to hear that IBelieveInPink SadSad

BellaBe · 06/01/2013 10:51

Hello, Can I join you too? I got a BFP on 30 Dec after only 1 month TTC and am a bit in shock! Due date is early September 2013. I'm 32 and this is my first. Have been queasy and emotions all over the place. Haven't told anyone except DH and my GP. So this is my first announcement really!

Congrats everyone!

AliceWChild · 06/01/2013 10:54

Wow you've just all reminded me that I got pregnant this time last year! Now laid here feeding my wonderful baby. Have fun!

As you were.

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 06/01/2013 10:54

I'm so sorry IBelieve

Sending you lots of hand holding and hugs.

andadietcoke · 06/01/2013 10:56

Oh IBelieveInPink I'm so so sorry. Take care of yourself Thanks

AliceWChild · 06/01/2013 11:02

So sorry pink

Next time will read whole thread.

Daisy299 · 06/01/2013 11:12

Congrats BellaBe. I'm 33 and due on the 13th according to my various apps (!) - not been to the doctor yet.

Daisy299 · 06/01/2013 11:13

Sorry IBelieveInPink, I missed your post before i commented. Very sorry to hear that.

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 06/01/2013 11:19

rosy Sorry you had a terrible reaction from PILs - I find it difficult to understand why anyone would be so negative, let alone people who are meant to be overjoyed at the news. Strike 'em off the visitors list!

zombies I've been having strange dreams, but they've not all been scary ones. Last night's dream was that I was in a car with Barack Obama telling him whilst it was great he was re-elected, would he mind stopping endorsing legislation put in by Bush that ran contrary to his own pledges. No idea where that came from!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 06/01/2013 11:23

I'm sorry IBelieve hope you're doing ok Thanks

Yy to being very grumpy and having weird dreams. My salt craving has started already and all I want is Chinese food and loads of noodles!

Experienced my first 2nd birthday party yesterday and I'm exhausted from it, my lower back is aching again.

Hope everyone's keeping well.
