Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

Yeah girlwithayellowhat, it would do no harm. Don't forget most women don't even know they're pregnant this early so I think our body's are pretty good at coping with all sorts of things. There are women slamming volkas at this stage and usually there baby's are fine!

Those clear blue tests are a bit evil in a way I think. It seems like there's no peace of mind in a way. I think a pregnancy that's going to stick isn't effected by anything and if a pregnancy isn't meant to be nothing you do will keep the pregnancy. That how I'm trying to look at it. I really want this baby but all I can do for now is try get on with life as best as can till 8 weeks when hopefully the GP will pick up a heartbeat.

I don't remember the time going so slow on my first pregnancy. Everyday is dragging at this point!

I'm wondering what supplements, if any, people are taking? I'm taking liquid iron and pregnacare. The liquid iron is because the whole of my last pregnancy I was anaemic and after labour my levels went critically low so I'm hoping by starting early ill avoid it this time

andadietcoke · 04/01/2013 14:01

I'm taking folic acid, vitamin d and vitamin b because I'm a bit of a fatty

Kittenkatzen · 04/01/2013 14:05

I'm just finishing up the end of a pack of Pregnacare conception, then I'll switch to regular Pregnacare. That's it.

Hi Ladies

Hope its OK to join. I was chatting with a couple of the other ladies in other threads and the recommended me to join. Although my due date is actually 30th Aug...so technically I should be in the other group.....but seeing as I already know some ladies thought it would be better here.

So my stats are:Married, Live in Hertfordshire, 32, BFP 23rd Dec, Due 30th Aug, DC1

Only "trying" (half heartedly!) for 2 months. So all is a shock at the moment and still trying to come to terms with it all!
I have been to Dr already and received my maternity pack, but am seeing private consultant in 2 weeks for chat and scan... as I would like a ELCS.

It was so great to read about all your symptoms! I havent had much except slight nausea recently and my boobs have gone up 1 cup size already! They were not small as it was....so cant take anymore growth!! Arrgghh! Also like many of you sore too!

So Hi to all and look forward to all your updates xx

corkgirlindublin · 04/01/2013 14:37

Andadietcoke I'm a bit of a fatty tooWink. I never heard about taking vit B. What's the reason?

andadietcoke · 04/01/2013 15:05

Oh I'm sorry (I have early pregnancy brain and am a proper nightmare at the moment). Vitamin D for fatty overweight mums to be.

Hi loubee! I'm sharing your concern on the boob size front - I'm not exactly small of nork as it is (D cup), so am slightly terrified as to how I might end up...DH can't wait obv!

jemimahpuddleduck · 04/01/2013 15:21

I could do with the bigger boobs only an A cup! No such luck as yet!

Just been into see my GP got to call the MW in about 2 weeks and he gave me my flu jab there and then which was good.

Welcomeloubeebaby Smile

amiready · 04/01/2013 15:26

just been reading the August 2013 thread and got a bit jealous as they are all so much further along and all having scans etc. Also, there are much less of them than us, maybe everyone here was waiting for the school year?? We were (were supposed to start after Christmas - ahem!). Going to have to cross my legs in August.....

andadietcoke · 04/01/2013 15:32

amiready I was due in July last time and was delighted. DH is a teacher so we would have had the whole school holiday, plus saved money on nearly a whole year of childcare!!

Saying that though, he did his uni dissertation on birth distribution in elite rugby players, and we can all expect international sportsmen/women even though DH was born in April

Wincher · 04/01/2013 15:38

I was disappointed not to get pregnant last month as I wanted an AUgust baby! I have a summer birthday and did very well at school, and I think sometimes the oldest in the year can get a bit bored. Plus a summer baby means a year less childcare costs as they start school a year earlier (as andadietcoke has pointed out).

Hi MummyOfP welcome - yes there's a stats post somewhere. Congratulations!

I've just been a bit very brave and registered with the GP as pg. I promised myself I wasn't going to do it until after the point that I mc'ed last time but I decided today that I need to stop assuming everything is going to go wrong and relax a bit. Everything has already been completely different to last time so I need to stop being neurotic and relax a bit.

I am really looking forward to having the 12 week scan and being able to tell people... I've lied so many times over the last two weeks I don't know how I sleep at night! Just had to talk my way out of drinks with a friend I haven't seen in months and I feel awful! I might have no friends left by end of feb...

andadietcoke · 04/01/2013 17:46

Antibiotics. There's one that you have for dental problems which you absolutely can't drink on. Can't remember what it's called.

For me it's coffee and not constantly drinking diet coke that's ringing alarm bells!

Kittenkatzen · 04/01/2013 18:33

Well I've jumped on the "dry January" bandwagon - was going to do it anyway so it turns out it's a convenient excuse Smile

Have had to make excuses today as to why I don't want to sign up to an endurance event in the summer that I was really keen on right up to New Year's Eve though - oops!

jmf294 · 04/01/2013 18:47

It's metronidazole you can't drink on!

Zoon · 04/01/2013 19:21

Hi everybody!
I have been lurking for a while but didn
to want to tempt fate.
I am 36, had my Bfp on 22dec. LMp 10nov but this was also my first postpartum af so due date 2sept. Still breastfeeding. Ds 18 mnths.
No symptoms at all which make me doubt this pregnancy. Last time round had lovely pregnancy and delivery, so maybe will be lucky again!
Will probably go for private oscar scan instead of nhs 12wk one. Did this last time too.
Have a ski holiday booked for february (eeek!)
Nice reading everybodies posts and I hope we all sail through the first trimester and enjoy the rest of pregnancy.

I am not clever enough to add my stats. Please could someone do this for me. Ta

Wow! image how prescious a girl would be. (they are all prescious but u know what I mean)
I think it will be a nice age gap.

Wincher · 04/01/2013 19:33

I'm going for the dry January excuse as well! Though right now after the amount i have drunk in the last month (only got bfp yesterday) I am very happy not to drink for a while anyway!

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 04/01/2013 20:11

Mummyofprawn Gosh, over 100 years seems a very long time!

If they hadn't offered me a scan at 8 weeks, I was going to see if I could ask for a dating scan as I wouldn't have wanted to miss the window for the 11 - 13 week scan. And if they didn't agree to it which was very likely as I'm wet as a wet thing I would've had a private scan for my own peace of mind.
