Sparks sorry about the sickness! I've had the odd bought of nausea but absolutely chuffed to bits not to have been puking (thanks bean, you've been very good on that score... but still, get out!

Bartlett my Dr isn't back at work until the 2nd week of January (so from 21st- 7th Jan as hols I think; because her colleague was off the week before Christmas), it is a small (OBGYN) practice where just two of them work but only seem to do half days each (admittedly long half days...) and almost all Drs are shut on a Wednesday pm here. They also close between 12:00 and 15:00 most days for lunch... Perhaps you want to be a Dr in Germany when you decide to return?? :)
And!!! They have weird names for everything although the medical language for them is the same; when directly translated, some examples:
Cervix = "mother mouth"
placenta = "mother cake"
But my Dr is very lovely! as I'm sure you are too Bartlett
Check up at the hospital was fine. It was nice and quiet (fingers crossed they're not too busy when I have to go in) and the MWs were lovely, as always. They did the acupuncture for me too (I might have had a nap while the needles were in 
). MW was funny; they're supposed to charge 10? (which involves faxing this here, posting that there and in the end you get it back from the insurance dudes anyway) but she couldn't be bothered and said that since it's christmas it's on the house 
The one thing I asked the Dr today is how far over can I go. Apparently they review at 40+8 and if everything is fine and I really want to 
they will let me go to 40+10 but thats the max. So... you have a choice bean; you can leave on your own whenever you like; otherwise you will be evicted on the 4th or 6th Jan
