Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NewYearNewBoo · 18/02/2013 10:07

Face I would agree with Sparks orgasms do cause a lot of movement, is it possible it dislodged some of the old blood??

Sparks I'm so pleased you have your referral, it must be awful not knowing why you keep getting them.

Took Toddly boo to the Dr, he has an ear infection, now to try and rearrange my hospital appointment (that I should be at now).

cartoontrickster · 18/02/2013 10:14

I think it probably is just that tbh. we've been too scared to have full sex and like sparks mostly I feel to rough to even entertain the idea. I thought it would be ok if there wasn't any penetration. don't think ill bother again Blush

cartoontrickster · 18/02/2013 13:10

quiet today!
just wondered if anyone has a Doppler and how you've got on with them?

GreenOlives · 18/02/2013 13:20

I used a doppler and found it very reassuring before I started feeling regular movement. I used it from around 12-13 weeks, took a while to find the Hb on first use but then you learn where to go and it get easier. Only cost about £20 new from ebay Smile
Well I've had my sweep - bit uncomfortable but bearable! Not expecting too much, cervix is soft and 1-2 cm dilated at the mo but is still 3cm long so midwife wasn't convinced it would do much. Have another one booked for Thurs! Midwife was much nicer than my usual one, really thorough and talked thorough birth plan etc, she was here for an hour and it was more useful than all of my other appts put together! Smile

cartoontrickster · 18/02/2013 13:54

that's sounds good. I think I might get one. what make was urs olives?
hope ur sweep gets things moving!

TheLittleFriend · 18/02/2013 14:08

Olives, how great that you had such a useful mw appt, it's always good to feel more prepared. Sounds like your body is gearing up for labour too, I wonder if all the trip whammy babies will be early?

Tricks, I had a Doppler with dd, which I found really reassuring. Didn't bother this time round, but I'd say go for it, if it'll make you feel confident. Smile

NewYearNewBoo · 18/02/2013 14:08

Ooh Olives hopefully that will do somethingoften if just getting things prepared for your second sweep. I am so pleased for you that you had a good talk with the mw.

I have been to the hospital and got all my goodies and bits for blood monitoring, I have to do it 4 times a day Shock but only for 8-10 weeks :)

cartoontrickster · 18/02/2013 14:11

little I'm really tempted to get one. dh isn't so sure because he knows how much well worry if I can't find the heart beat. did u find it easy to use?
how have you been?Smile

whimsicalname · 18/02/2013 14:19

Pre 28 weeks movement can be very sporadic sparks so try not to worry. That's why they won't do CTG monitoring before 28 weeks. Xx

NewYearNewBoo · 18/02/2013 21:39

How many weeks are you Sparks it is possible twinkle has moved to an awkward position that you can't feel, as long as you have felt baby move then all is absolutely fine.

Bon courage for next week Whims.

Sparks, it's such a lovely thing when you feel them move so natural to worry when it goes a bit quiet. I'm sure it's fine.Twinks is resting up. You shd too. Brew

Waves to all, Bartlett has news... Thanks

GenericDietCola · 19/02/2013 09:03

brooking for you olives! hope the sweep works.

boo, hope toddly's ear infection clears up soon and your monitoring is easy.

cartoon, I understand your worries but try not to analyse everything. brooking that all is well.

sparks, hope you get lots of kicks today!

little, loved your pic.

TheLittleFriend · 19/02/2013 17:45

Sparks I definitely didn't feel the same amount of movement each day at 22weeks, but I'm sure it wasn't long before there was a regular pattern Smile

Whims, I'm scared about dp's pat leave ending and I've only got two to deal with. You are a super woman!

Green, you're turn next. How are you feeling?

Thanks for the lovely comments about my dc's pics. Tricks, friend request me if you fancy a look, initials hb in the brooking group Smile

I'm sure I read somewhere that dating sweet things and cold drinks can make your baby dance for you :) really pleased you felt him Sparks, try not to worry, he is fine, safe and warm in there!

Whims you are super woman, fact!! I'm sure you will be just fine.

Olives how are you feeling?

Bartlet hope you have enjoyed your first full day of snuggles, you earned it!!!!

Toddly boo is much better now, taking his medicine like a good boy.

BartletForTeamGB · 19/02/2013 19:37

Hello everyone! DD is fast asleep, snuffling in the Moses basket beside me. She is lovely and just perfect. She needed a few extra tests last night and this morning, and was reviewed by a consultant paediatrician and all is well. We are so very happy.

One of the things that has really surprised me is how well I feel! Now I know a whole lot of this is down to hormones and will wear off, but I definitely didn't feel this great after DS's birth.

Just to reassure people who get nervous about very medicalised deliveries, my home birth with DS was lovely, but I really can't honestly say that my delivery yesterday was worse. In fact, it was a lovely experience, I am feeling so much better and BFing this time is an absolute doddle. (Hope I am still saying that in a few days!)

Right, will post this as DD might wake up and then come back to post my birth story.

TheLittleFriend · 19/02/2013 19:44

Bartlet, I am so so happy for you. I'm on a post birth high at the moment too, as I definitely didn't feel this well after dd. long may it last for us both! GrinThanks
